This guitar in the style of a Telecaster is extremely well constructed. I mean heavy duty! The wood has beautiful grain and a high gloss lacquer finish. The neck is bolted on and contains a truss rod. The 2 bullbuckers with split coil option produce a variety of sound and the high density swamp ash body brings out great sustain. The intonation and string action was perfectly set up out of the box. Unpack, tune and play. It even has locking tuners, fender style. The delivery was prompt even though it was signalled that delays might occur. I am very happy with my purchase, I got a great sounding instrument at an incredible price point. I would buy the same again if it got lost or damaged during transport.

So after sending back my Grungemaster which was a bit too noisy for my liking (but not a bad instrument in the slightest), Artist sent me this amazing guitar. Wow. In my 18 years of playing I have never played an instrument this nice out of the box at this price point. You would half expect to at least set the nut properly and the action but EVERYTHING was precise and sounding fantastic. The humbuckers and single coil split really makes this a versatile telecaster opposed to the traditional single coil model. Team this up with a TS808 and you are in heaven.Would expect this quality at a guitar ranged 3x the price.Fantastic, Thanks Artist Guitars!

The guitar after purchase turned up quickly. I unboxed it and plugged it in and only had to tune 1 string. Sounds great and the neck and action are spot on. This is a two-piece natural finish swamp ash body. Very attractive. I have trouble putting it down really. Artist guitars are spot on. Try one as a workhorse. I suspect you will end up really loving it.

I purchased a TC59 a few weeks ago. The reviews were good and with 100 day return policy I thought why not.I have owned many "name brand" guitars in my 50 years playing including a Fender American Standard Tele.Out of the box, it needed a set up, but so did the Fender and every other guitar I have owned. It's heavy. So what! No surprises there. It's genuine American Ash. Modeled on the original '59 Tele. Good part is...very resonant. If you don't like heavy then get a guitar made from cardboard and see how it sounds! After setting up, I was really impressed. The neck is different to any other guitar I have owned in a really good way. Ridiculously easy to play. Really nice low action. Really lovely resonant sound unplugged (good heavy wood). The neck is different to any other guitar I have owned in a really good way. Ridiculously easy to play. Really nice low action. Really lovely resonant sound unplugged (good heavy wood). The best part are the pickups. I never really fell for the expensive Fender but this is very, very different. I absolutely nailed the sound I have always wanted in a Tele. The quality of fit and finish are superb. No rough fret ends. Smooth neck and the timber body is really nice. Locking tuners and bone nut. Chromed brass saddles. This thing oozes quality and sounds stunning. I really do prefer this to ANY previous Fender I have played and I've played a lot of them.Thing is, you have to get one, stop thinking it's a cheap guitar, close your eyes and get on with it. These TC59's are just streets ahead of a $3600 fender. The tweed case (what else would you put a Tele in?) is also superb. Stop reading reviews and watching videos and get one.You will be as impressed as me. Cheers

I ordered the TC59 on Sunday the 4th of July, about 4pm. It arrived at 11am on Tuesday the 6th. I live in a rural location so firstly the the delivery is fast.Secondly, the instrument itself is very good quality, it was my first buy at artist and like others I came with a little scepticism. Well I can tell you the guitar is a looker and plays very nicely. The pups are superb, loving the tone. I bought this guitar as a bit of a giggle really, I wanted a Tele style guitar. I was intending to purchase a Mexican Fender Tele when I came across the artist web site, I thought, for the price might as well try one. I won’t be buying the Mexican Tele now. I have high end guitars, custom hand made and American strats so I know what good feels and sounds like. I was not ... MoreI ordered the TC59 on Sunday the 4th of July, about 4pm. I have high end guitars, custom hand made and American strats so I know what good feels and sounds like. I was not disappointed, in fact I was blown away with the sound, I actually prefer the tone of the pups to my custom hand made guitar. Hard to admit that because that guitar was north of 4,000 US. As others have commented it is on the heavy side, I played it standing for a couple of hours and found it to be fine for me, and I’m 55. Might be an issue if you haven’t looked after your back. Something to think about with this guitar.Thirdly I’d like to comment on the customer service. The guitar had a small hairline crack under the lacquer near the strap button on the top. It is definitely not structural but more of an aesthetic issue. I contacted Artist straight away and they confirmed there wouldn’t be any long term issues, which I am happy with. I told them I was happy to live with it. Without me asking they offered me a 20% rebate. It was all taken care of and sorted by Tuesday evening. 10 out of 10 for customer service.I ordered something from one of NZ’s big music retailers, won’t mention their name, at the same time, but I didn’t receive email confirmation until Wednesday. I had to call them to confirm they had received the order. Artist are head and shoulders ahead in customer service. With free shipping and the option to return the instrument if you’re not happy, why wouldn’t you try them out. I have now placed my second order with artist for some accessories.

Liked the look of the TC59 on site so brought the last one they had in stock , I'm a little hesitant to buy without having it in my hands first and seeing if I like the feel of it . I have brought a few guitars online including 3 harley bentons and various guitars off ali express . While they were just ok and needing a lot of setup this Artist TC59 guitar absolutely whips there arse's right out of the box. It needed minimal setup , the usual things like string height and intonation ..... every guitar I have ever owned new has needed this setup , but this TC59 was so close it only needed the most minor tweeks....... though I will have to polish the frets to make it perfect but there not to bad. The frets are level and I have the action real low (which is where I like it ) no fret buzz and no choking out when doing hard bends, the neck feels great with the satin finish , there is no fret sprout and they are finished really well except for the polish I will give them. Those pickups sound F**king amazing , honestly I am stunned I absolutely freekin love them. I thought my PRS pups were good....... these are better....way better..... and then you get the extra tonality from the coil split which adds another dimension to this guitar. The tuners feel great and are smooth and consistent across all of them and they tune precisely , and locking tuners to boot..... how can they produce such a good guitar at this price point ? . The body is made up of 3 pieces of wood that are matched so well I had to really look hard for the joins and the natural wood finish is beautiful. I have 2 small gripes which aren't really that big of a deal because I knew about one of them just from watching the reviews on the artist site....... the obvious one is the weight of this guitar ..... it's heavy really heavy but I expected that...... I don't gig I just play with a few friends on the weekends etc and I don't have to stand , but if I did I could see myself with neck and back problems in no time..... but I knew it was heavy from the reviews....... the only manufacturing fault I have found is that the nut is not centered on the neck it overhangs one side and is short the other....... when I do my first string change I will pop it out and reset it as it bugs me. Not a biggie at all and for this money I still think I ripped Artist guitars off and got the best deal ever on any guitar I have ever brought including my PRS. I now trust Artist guitars 100% and will probably buy another guitar from them a little further down the line..... That grunge master looks pretty good but there always out of stock hence why I brought the TC59...... If they made this guitar with lighter wood I would buy another one no question. If you are looking to buy another guitar or even your first guitar I would recommend Artist guitars, there well priced and if you find you don't like what you brought you can send it back no questions asked. I can honestly say this is one guitar I will never sell , Thanks Artist guitars I am truly blown away with the quality of this instrument and the overall finish and play ability right out of the box...... stunning.....just stunning .

This is the cheapest guitar I've ever purchased.Good workmanship for Price,Good Pickups,Locking turners is a real bonus,No frills but looks good,Good neck.Playing for over 25 years and I would recommend this guitar for a good value guitar.Cons: (I overlooked because of value).Heavy Body,Frets required redressing. It was not playable out of the box I redressed and polished the frets. This was a minor issue but had a big impact on string life and comfort. After this it played pretty well and I was happy. A few months of playing it would achieve the same result to wear it in so don't make it deal braker, you need to play it heaps if you don't know how to do this before it will feel good.

This is an amazing guitar!! This is one of the guitars I will always take to gigs/recording sessions. The finish is phenomenal. The neck feels amazing. Truly shocked at the quality for the price. This is just as good if not better than the Mexican Fender/Epiphone stuff I have! Pickups sound good. I will absolutely be buying more Artist guitars in the future. Would love it if the US location expands its online stock to include some of the guitar models on the Australia location.
