Easy to connect, download software and simple to use. It ticks all the boxes I need and is great value for money. Lightweight, easily transportable and sturdy construction. Recommend for a first-time midi controller user. I have it connected to my apple laptop and am using Garageband with Artiria Minifuse 2. Makes home recording so simple.

The MiniLab 3 is my first midi controller and I have been very happy with this product so far. It comes with a nice bundle of software to get you started, the hardware itself feels good, and maybe most importantly it's been easy to learn and fun to play with. I've done some traveling with the MiniLab and have had no issues with the build quality so far.

I've had the mk2 for a while now and it's still absolutely a great controller, but the MiniLAB 3 improves on it in several areas.DIN MIDI is very useful for my setup, and lets me simplify things a bit. The pads are flatter, more squared on the edges and have a nicer feel than the mk2, which I never liked or used much. The arp is nice to have, DAW mappings and presets work just like they did with the mk2 and I think trading knobs for faders is a good move because they've got different uses, I never used them all on the mk2.Awesome upgrade!

The Arturia Minilab MK2 is a great little midi keyboard. It serves it's purpose as a staple in small studios with less room. It's compact and quality design assures that it's not a cheap controller and is also made by a well respected company. I like the Minilab because it feels more like a real keyboard when playing the keys. Some midi controllers are more plastic and light almost toy like feel. It comes with some great software options such as Analog Lab Lite and Ableton Lite. For a small fee you can upgrade to the full version of Analog Lab which is well worth the price with over 6,000 presets from several different synths and pianos. The minilab is mapped to the Analog Lab and any other Arturia software which makes it even better. It also works with other daws as long as it's mapped correctly but will work best with anything from Arturia line. Overall for the price it's well worth it for what you get. I mean for $100 it's a steal. I think it's a great addition and any studio wether your a hobbyist or a full time musician.
This keyboard was advertised to work with Logic Pro right out of the box after installing the script for Logic. Well only THREE FADERS WORK!!! I'm not going to program every knob, fader and pad!!! Especially when on their site they say "install the Logic Pro Script and all the knobs/faders/pads will work!
Not sure I would rate this as any higher than anything else I've used. In fact, it did not map to Analog Lab V or Ableton 'right out of the box,' and that's where GC comes in. After watching a dozen videos to fix operator error, none of which helped, I took the unit back to GC. They took the time to plug it into their system to see if there were parameters that could be changed, and figured out how to make it work - on Ableton. Still not mapping to Analog V outside of Ableton, so left wondering if it's the system, unit, or operator who has been dropped on its head, but have a inquiry into Arturia and will see if they have ideas.
Supplied USB cable is 1.5m in length. I feel that would be with mentioning in the specs.Fairly intuitive design and workflow.Well featured for a low cost controller. Not much compatibility with Arturia legacy instruments in V-Collection 7 or Analog Lab 4, which would've been good to note as bought it as a controller to work with those. It's also a pretty decent generic controller.Recommend upgrading to V-Collection 9 if you're considering buying this.Works well with Ableton. Poor compatibility with Studio One 5, though that's not a great DAW for Electronic Music, so I don't hold the controller responsible for that.
Amazing Midi Keyboard, used on both PC (Ableton Live & FL Studio) & Android (FL Mobile & Audio Evolution). Better integration on PC DAWs but still usable on mobile. USB-C straight in and you're away.
I bought this mainly for portability. The keybed is great, however the pads are not as tactile as I'd like or expected.I use Cubase and with a little configuring, I got it working to some extent as a 'Mackie Control'. I liked that there are five user settings, which enabled me to configure the controller's pads. 'endless' encoders and faders to suit my needs.Given the only slight drawback is with the pads, I'd recommend this product.
The form factor and build is great. The keys are amazing for being mini. The knobs are very very stiff. I'm not sure why they did that, but the faders feel good.Unfortunately it crashes a lot. It locks up when you use the transport layer for Live (sometimes) and it locks up if you leave it idle for too long (sometimes). I have some faith that Arturia will update the firmware to fix these issues in the future though.
