Very light boots with good arch support, they have helped my plantar fasciitis. I keep them on all day and they are very comfortable. I strongly recommend them.

My son is disabled and suffers from feet and ankle issues so i purchased these journey ascent boots to give as much support around the ankle area as possible.he is walking so much better in these boots.they are of excellent material.also made with excellence by the manufacturers highly recommend these boots for comfort,finish and looks. Well worth the cost to buy. Laurie.

Great online experience! Highly recommended purchase, these boots are very comfortable, easy to get on and off with the side zip. This is my third pair of the Ascent brand and came highly recommended by my Podiatrist. They take orthotics too, which is essential for my feet.
Great work boot-I have purchased about 3 pairs over the years!This pair however split at the toe first week wearing!I returned to our local store and had them replaced!
The Ironbark is comfy and it looks sturdy enough for the trekking I am planning. One of the eyelets was not properly inserted. I am a fan of Ascent footwear in general but this is the first time I have tried the boots.
I bought the shoes online, as the local Athletes Foot Outlet didn't stock it. The purchase was on looks only. I ordered US10 and received UD10.5. The shoes are not very comfortable and definitely not designed for long walks. Perhaps to look cool, when you are shopping. The Velcro straps come loose and the zips are exposed on the inside to my feet and will cause blisters. The leather at the front is hard and presses down on my toes. I wasted $199.99.
Very happy with the boots with one exception - the grip in the wet is marginal at best. I changed to these boots after five pairs of Merrells with Vibram soles. There is no comparison between the grip - I have had several near falls on various wet paved surfaces in the two weeks I have been wearing them and am not confident at all them in the wet.
I have worn these shoes for some years now. They are sturdy, comfortable and convenient, at the same time. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a practical work boot that can also double as outdoor recreational boot.
Before you order you need to know the boot is very skinny. This boot needs to be available in store purchase, it would have saved a lot of time if I could have tried on in store. Boot looks great, wanted the side zip for trip to Japan.
