The shoes are very stiff. I'm sure they will soften over time, but I have so many problems with my feet that it doesn't dull the pain. As a matter of fact, it is causing more pain to my left bunion. Athletes Foot need to provide more Corporate footwear options, particularly for their female clientele. All of the shoes are unattractive to wear with corporate attire.

I have worn this model before without any problems. I purchased the same size in a different colour and expected the same shoe. The first time I wore them I developed huge blistering on my heel. I persisted and wore them twice again and experienced further blistering and nothing but further foot and toe pain. Disappointed to have spent so much money on work shoes that have only been able to be worn 3 times.

The Ascent Stratus shoe is just awesome and has been a godsend to me. I have severe plantar fasciitis in my left foot and now my right foot is starting to play up. I was desperate to find shoes I could wear that would improve the pain I am feeling and allow me to walk. I tried many different brands and spent a lot of money doing so but to no avail. My podiatrist recommended these shoes and she said the cushioning on the inside would help with my heel pain..and they certainly did! I wear them with the OS1st plantar fasciitis socks and they are a great combination. Now I am looking forward to my holiday in June that will involve a lot of walking through archaeological sites in Greece. Although I'll still need to take it easy, it's given me some hope of having a good ... MoreThe Ascent Stratus shoe is just awesome and has been a godsend to me. They are made of excellent quality leather and are well priced. Super comfortable to walk in, very supportive and come in great colours. I love my red shoes and also bought a pair in white! If they had a tan in stock I would have purchased that too :-). They look great with dresses too especially my maxi's. Highly recommend!

I honestly expected more from these shoes. I've gone through two pairs of the standard fit. The first pair were good and I wore them out in a year, the second pair were bad and have caused a lot of issues and pain after wearing them for a year. Decided to try the wide fit to allow extra room in the front of the shoe. It allows for a nice amount of space, but the shoe feels less cushioned in the back end and it rubs if I don't tie them up really tight, which is uncomfortable. I work in hospitality, bar and kitchen, where the floors get wet and greasy. The two previous pairs of shoes had excellent grip and would only slide on the floor if there was grease. Had no problem with wet floors, but the wide fit are sliding on wet floors, even though the sole of the shoe ... MoreI honestly expected more from these shoes. Had no problem with wet floors, but the wide fit are sliding on wet floors, even though the sole of the shoe should be the same. They are not the worst shoes, and still better than many other shoes I have tried. Fairly disappointing for the price though. I pay more because I need good, sturdy, comfortable, safe shoes for my work as I'm on me feet all the time. Unfortunately, these don't tick all the boxes for me personally.
I wore these for the first time today and was in absolute agony just walking around the city. I always take wide shoes, and my right foot is wider than my left. Today my right foot got rubbed really badly on my little toe, so obviously this shoe is not wide despite claiming to be. Also, the shoe is not deep enough, my heel lifts and rubs up the back with every step. Both of my heels have been rubbed raw. Would not recommend these if you have wide feet. They "fit" when I tried them on in-store, but I have regrets after wearing them out just once.
I have problems with my feet and dreaded wearing daggy orthotic type shoes. My podiatrist recommended the Ascent Stratus as being a very well made shoe that takes an orthotic insert, so I bought a white pair and found that they looked great with my work clothes and were lovely and comfortable. When I discovered on the internet that the Ascent Stratus also came in a gorgeous scarlet colour, I couldn't resist. They look fabulous and make me smile when I wear them. I hope to buy a pink pair in the near future. Love these shoes!
So ill fitting and uncomfortable. I had such high hopes for these shoes based on reviews but they are so uncomfortable. I am a 8.5 in shoes but the 8.5 were so big on me, i tried the 7.5 but they were so tight. The 8 were still so long . The salesman convinced me to use inner soles so i bought them. Within 10 minutes of walking i ended up with a blister on my heel and ubder one under my toe. They are so hatd and plasticity and uncomfortable.

It took a bit of searching to find a pair in white (I had already purchased a red pair just in case). I had to purchase them online from their website. I have wide feet and a bunion to boot. These are the most comfortable closed in shoe I own, and are a true wide fitting unlike many other sneakers I’ve tried. They are very supportive. When I first got them I thought they would be too firm and chunky but the leather has softened beautifully. My 30 year old daughter commented on how stylish they look.Happily ordered online, as they’re not available in shop near me, as I could return in shop if not suitable. I have a white pair and wish they came in other colours, especially a tan.
Comfy from Day 1. With very broad feet, I have a lot of trouble finding shoes broad enough around the toe box or deep enough through the mid-foot area. Conversely, I have a narrow heel and often slip out of shoes if I try and size up. The Ascent Stratus has laces that come a fair way towards the ankles, allowing me to change my lacing pattern to have a ‘lock-lace’ technique to ensure I am not slipping in and out and getting blisters. It also means good ankle support to prevent rolling my ankles. The sole has good grip, which is great and not a given, in my experience. My main criticism would be that the colour options of white or black in this style is very limited. Some of the other colour options offered in the non-wide version would be greatly appreciated!
