Durable and comfortable. Tried and tested (& will buy again). These shoes stand up to the active boy test - they have outlasted many other brands of school shoe. They are comfortable with good support for growing feet. They are also hard wearing making them the perfect choice for little people!

Purchased for my daughter to wear as school runners. She loves them for the soft pink detail- subtle enough to wear at school. She also reports they are comfy! Too early to comment on durability/wear, but so far so good!

Insoles and very comfortable shoes for my daughter. She loves the suttle color and the comfort. Apart from this the price at Myer was so reasonable that we didn't think twice before buying it. Very happy with the purchase
This is the third pair of Contend ive bought for my daughter. She wears them to school and has never found any other trainer she likes so much. Great quality trainer. Goes through washing machine easily.
I bought the Contend 7 Grade School and Pre-school for my kids new school shoes. On the very first day of wear, the logos in the soles rubbed off and stained their brand new socks on both pairs. It happened again on the second and third day again on brand new socks. Clearly not a fluke since it happened on both pairs.I messages Asics to let them know there may be a quality control issue. Their response was that either the shoes were not cleaned properly or it was leftover bleach on the socks. These were brand new socks so they were never bleached. These were brand new shoes, so they were never cleaned.Long story short, wear with dark socks.
My son has been wearing these as his main shoes for about a month now. They look great on and they're holding up really well. They also don't seem to make his feet sweaty nearly as often as many other shoes. The fit seems to be narrow around the heel with a wider toe box. He's happy with them and finds them comfortable, though he finds the laces a bit slippery to tie.
Main purpose of buying this was to find a sneaker that relieved my son's heel pain. These did not do the job. His heels would be in pain all day at school. He currently has heel inflammation (Severs disease)due to his feet growing. I do not recommend for anyone dealing with heal pain but maybe it would be fine for those without foot issues.
For little feet these shoes would fit into, it would be nice if they weren’t using shoe laces. Kids at this age still doesn’t know how to tie their shoes efficiently. So it always take forever for them to get out of the doors. Otherwise, they are felt in terms of fit and comfort. Love the colors also (navy blue and red).
