The EX89 sneaker combines the classic style of the GEL-EXTREME basketball shoe from 1989 with contemporary comfort features. Designed by Toshikazu Kayano in the late 1980s as his inaugural project with ASICS, it now boasts modern cushioning. This version stands out with its colourful accents, using multicoloured scraps of IMABARI towel threads in the shoelace and webbing.
