Enjoy superior comfort and advanced support with the Gel-Kayano 27 running shoe. The redesigned mesh upper keeps your feet feeling cool, while a more flexible sole makes the rolling phase of your motion more natural. This process begins in the heel, where additional flex grooves absorb the force of the initial impact, making your stride softer and smoother. Halfway through the movement, the inward rotation of the foot transitions to an outward rotation, which makes for a high efficiency of your toe-off. This shoe also features Dynamic Duomax technology, which supports the foot and increases stability for runners whose feet tilt inward too much (overpronation). The midsole features Space Trusstic technology, which provides stability and reduces overall weight, making the transition from strike to push-off easier. This added stability is complemented by deeper flex grooves in the forefoot, which also provide a smoother roll-off and toe-off, allowing the shoe to better adapt to the natural movement of the foot. Finally, the visibility of runners in low-light conditions is increased by a large number of reflective materials in the rearfoot area. The Gel-Kayano 27 model is an excellent choice for both competitive and recreational runners looking for an everyday running shoe with a combination of comfort and support.

Excellent as always from a performance and looks point of view. I had a reconstructed ACL, having run marathons before in my Kayanos. Getting back into jogging was uncomfortable with my other non-aasics runners but these let me go the distance with a good bit more stabilisation and cushioning. My only knock on these are that 2 artificial creases are created in the fabric of the toe box which fold in on my toes when I walk and look odd, but don't bother me when I run. I have worn the same size for years so it is not a sizing issue for me, probably just a slight flaw in the shoe manufacture but overall, I still swear by my Aasics Kayanos. Been a fan since thee Gel Kayano 15 derivation and I always go back. Great shoe.

I'm so pleased that I ordered these, they're the most comfortable trainer that I've ever owned. The fit around the midfoot is so snug that it feels like my foot is perfectly supported. I take a UK 5.5, this was the size that I went for and the length and width is spot on, I literally feel as though they were custom made for me! The cushioning is incredible, very bouncy, great for speed walking. Also running in these is a complete joy, they support my 'push-off perfectly, it feels like the trainer is doing the majority of the work and I literally feel as though I could take off into the clouds! I didn't know which to go for at first as I was unsure of what my push-off type was but I soon realised that I have a slight over-pronation and tend to push-off on my toes and ... MoreI'm so pleased that I ordered these, they're the most comfortable trainer that I've ever owned. A great all-rounder for road running. A great choice of colours too, I went for the French Blue/Digital Aqua, I've had lots of compliments on them, they look absolutely stunning. Extremely happy, thank you Asics!

Del Kayanos normally run like a dream (have run in them for nearly 20yrs), but the 27s have far too narrow a toe box, and are much shorter than they used to be. Would need to go up 1.5 sizing and to D minimum width. I have narrow heels but my toe alignment is healing/straightening after a year mostly without shoes in lockdown. Regardless, the 27s pinched my toe/feet bones nearly on top of each other, which the 26s don't do at all. However, I recently found out also that my last set of Del Kayanos (26s) eventually gave me an allergy to colophony/rosin, which rubbed off the label inside the tongue and off the brand name print on the top side of the insole. This means I have a square-ish rash on the front of each ankle the exact size and placement of those labels ... MoreDel Kayanos normally run like a dream (have run in them for nearly 20yrs), but the 27s have far too narrow a toe box, and are much shorter than they used to be. This means I have a square-ish rash on the front of each ankle the exact size and placement of those labels which I'm struggling to heal. This also means I can barely wear ANY shoes now of ANY make/model (ever again) - I'm having a very hard time finding any that are safe (and that makes me also now allergic to most toilet paper, newsprint, books, wrapping paper, magazines, dental floss, etc etc.). Apparently the 27s include even more colophony/rosin in their construction than the 26s, so are even less safe, so I had to return them.Love the Del Kayano legacy, but the model is definitely taking a turn for the worse fit wise, and the Asics Restricted Substance List limitations just aren't remotely safe enough. Currently around 1% of the general population are allergic to colophony rosin like I am. Del Kayanos might well be increasing that percentage.

I have had several pairs of Gel Kayanos - primarily 19s and 23s but it finally reached the point where I couldn't get the older models in my size (womens UK 10/EU 44.5) so I had to get the latest ones. The fit is not as good for me - there is space down the side of my heel that wasn't there in previous models so I have to use the odd extra lace hole to stop heel slip. I always seem to have to retie the right shoe - I just can't get it tight enough first time. There is also an annoying fold/dip on either side of the toe which shows the break between 2 more rigid bits under the surface - not a functional issue but it looks odd. They are absolutely fine for running once I get the lacing right - I just wish they were as brilliant as the 23s for look and fit.
I loved the shoes when they arrived lovely design, great colours combo, nice cushioning on the heel tab & cuff. All very positive. 3 months into using them (5k x 3/week) and the knit tore on the outer part of the upper unit in both runners. It's as if the knit vamp part is not strong enough to sustain the rubbing against the more rigid structure of the toe box as both tears are along the toe box line. Way to early for the €180 pair to disintegrate.. What is worse is that I emailed the Customer Service and they haven't even responded.. I've been a loyal asics customer for almost 15 years now and gone through many asics runners, but this is by far the worst quality I've experienced to date. Very disappointed...
My last pair were the 25 version of this runner and I really loved them. These are also amazing - with slight tweaks - and I was not disappointed. I'm a huge fan of this shoe because I have super flat feet and jogging was always too painful for me. Now I'm able to run pretty much pain-free due to the support they offer. The 27 version in particular has excellent support and it takes some getting used to. They basically keep my lower body from doing anything inefficient or risky so I can just concentrate on trying to run faster and longer. That's what a good pair of runners is all about! I will never buy any other shoe.
I went onto ASICS for a good pair of trainers for starting at the gym as the next part of my rehabilitation from several spinal surgeries. I had spent several days looking at recommendation websites and ASICS often scored top 5 on multiple of these for comfort, support and movement. Upon deciding on ASICS, I visited their website and found their recommendation quiz to try and it gave me the GEL-KAYANO 27 trainers. If I had more time, I would have liked to visit an ASICS store to be helped in person but all things considered this quiz gave me a good match. I got a 10% student discount through StudentBeans and I went through with ordering. I ordered a size 5 in French Blue/Champagne color for the Women's Gel Kayano 27. Shipping took longer than expected but I assume and understand this to be due to covid. The shoes arrived and were true to size. I noticed a very snug feeling and a different feel due to actually being supported. I have narrow feet with very high arches, I also tend to walk with overpronation and very flat-footedly. So far, I have not walked far in these shoes but have worn them as indoor shoes for the gym. I noticed to start with that my feet/soles would get quite hot after 20-30 mins doing mostly cardio activities, but I feel this is just an adjustment on my part from not having done exercise like that in years. I haven't had the shoes long, but so far I really like their look, I feel very supported in my feet and less likely to fall over (which I am also very good at). If my opinion changes in future or I experience any difficulties I would be happy to review my statement here.
These shoes were recommended to me by my Personal Trainer when I began running - before that I had been running in my old trainers. There was no comparison! They are legitimately like running on air. They have improved my confidence and ability. I use them for road, trail and off-trail running and they grip and hold well. The wicking at the front of the shoe means that although your foot may get wet, it warms up really quickly, and you don't notice it being wet.I also want to add that the customer service with this company is second to none. When my toes started to come through in my left shoe, I sent photographic evidence of this and they refunded me and I was advised to keep the shoes. Just amazing. I recommend these shoes to everyone who asks me about running ... MoreThese shoes were recommended to me by my Personal Trainer when I began running - before that I had been running in my old trainers. I bought these as I read they were good for Over pronation, which I need maximum support for. I went up half a size but I wish I went up a whole size , they are a small fit length wise. One of the laces pulled within 2 weeks, very poor quality .Since running with these my knee started to hurt . I decided to keep wearing to break them in , however I found my feet aching really bad after running in these. Very little ankle support which I was shocked at . Overall I am so disappointed, I was expecting a really supportive trainer but I can’t say I’ve had that . I previously used Nike Zoom structure & I wish I had bought a new pair of them instead. I did yesterday run in the shoes again as I had a break from using them for a week & went back to my Nike’s but within 15 ... MoreI bought these as I read they were good for Over pronation, which I need maximum support for. I have been wearing ASICS daily for 3 years now, and these are by far the worst pair I've had so far. They are very, very thin, the glue is visible on the outside of the shoe where the fabric joins the base, and when exercising it felt as though the join was going to give even the first time I wore them. Furthermore the insole kept sliding underneath my foot, eventually causing me to hurt my ankle. They were also very narrow (about 1.5cm narrower than my previous pair. The customer service has been utterly abysmal. I have no idea what on Earth is going on at ASICS, but they need to get a grip; taking over 2 weeks to respond to an email while there is also no phone service is entirely unacceptable. I only got a response when I threatened to call my credit card ... MoreI have been wearing ASICS daily for 3 years now, and these are by far the worst pair I've had so far. I am prepared to try one more pair of shoes from ASICS when the return for these goes through, but based on all the warnings on their site, and the complaints in other reviews, who knows when I will receive my replacement pair.
