Ten years ago, I was sent by my doctor to a runners' store for Asics. I had painful plantar faucitis. I was given size 11 4E. I had been wearing 9.5 D. Yeah, that's a pretty dramatic change - and it was wrong. They were expensive, so wore them. Really helped my feet even if the fit was loose. My current shoe is 10.5 2E. These 29's are great. Light and supportive.

I never write reviews but happy to do so for these running shoes. My usual street shoe size is women’s 41 wide so I initially bought the women’s 42 standard, which fit but were uncomfortable. So went for the men’s 43 wide fit. I’ve been for several runs and they are a pleasure to run in, and I have had no knee problems as I did with my previous runners. Please provide a women’s wide fit range too though!

As always, this pair of shoes outdoes the rest! It's light, flexible, and tight construction. It has enough cushion and is pleasant to wear on my hour long walks with the dogs on pavement and dirt ditches here in NM. I have a right big toe that made a hole in all four pair of Hoka One One's shoes. In contrast, I have had no problem with that issue with the Gel-Kayano 29 Wide.Getting a half size bigger and wide has really helped with this shoe.I would recommend this shoe to everyone! It fits perfectly. The width is just right. It's extremely comfortable. This shoe, like all of Asics shoes is of perfect quality. I'm a 52 year old male who lives and breathes in New Mexico. I'm a walker every day of the week walking my two dogs.

This is my 10th pair of Kayanos and no doubt not my last. I do a lot of walking and from my first pair to these they continue to support me in my fitness efforts. They are comfortable from day one and require very little break in. They're true to size and in 30 years of wearing ASICS I've been able to wear the same size US 15. My Kayano 28s were a good shoe but the segmented sole seemed, in areas, to lift away from the foam sole which is unfortunate as this has never happened before (maybe a glue issue?). So far my 29s have been fault free.
I had them delivered a week ago great shoes. Previously I had 27 4E's for almost 2 years (a little too long), which I now know were too wide for me.There is nothing like a new pair of Kayano's but this time the heel support and fit is even better and the foam absorbsion and energy return is awesome.I feel each time I buy theses shoes they fit and perform better and better.Always used Asics Gel shoe I did try NB once same price but they didn't compare.When your on a good thing that is continually improving, stick to it.I also do like the 75% recycled material, if this true and not a marketing ploy then another tick in the box.
I do not like the new design. It is too tight around the toes and is creating a sore spot on small toe knuckle. Like never before these new designs no longer suit my foot . Been buying same shoe for about 20years. I prefer the old design. I now need to revisit the store for a new sizing and look for appropriate fitting shoe.
I read the reviews on the ASICS before purchasing. I have worn another brand historically. Several reviews stated the shoes are hot and I do find that to be true. I changed the insole. The one included in the shoe was very cushioning but I prefer my own. I try to walk about 30-45 minutes a day and the ASICS are comfortable and have good foot support. Of note the ASICS have good toe cushion. This may be of more importance to runners vs walkers. Overall I am very satisfied with these shoes.
I have been buying this style shoe from ASICS for 20 years. My last two pairs had tears at the toe within a month of wearing them. I decided to take a chance on these anyways. That was a mistake. Within a month, the foam padding at the top lip of the right shoe collapsed and folded down. Because it did this under the layer of fabric on top, I can’t reach in to unfold it. Now there is an uncomfortable lump on the back of my heel when I wear them. Per their customer service, I submitted a warranty claim, which they rejected. They claimed I didn’t know how to put my shoes on correctly. This is my last pair of ASICS. The quality and customer service are not worth it.

This is a hard one for me to review but here is the reason for the 1 star. Firstly the price was great and the service very friendly. However I had a fit done and was recommended the Kayano, according to their foot scan this would be the correct shoe for me. I do think it is a very well made shoe but it doesn't suit my running or feet at at all and gives me severe knee pain because the over-pronation stability is far to intrusive. So the foot scan was really worthless and I am left with an expensive pair of shoes that I cant use. I have since bought the Asics 2000 series with less pronation control and have no knee pain with these. I think the whole foot scan thing is a bit of a con.
