Best stability shoe I've tried!

A stability shoe that does not feel like a stability shoe! Many stability shoes I've tried are bulky, uncomfortable and heavy. This shoe is completely the opposite! Feels light on
the foot and gives a comfortable and bouncy ride. I have flat feet and overpronate slightly, usually I run in neutral shoes but I really like this shoe because it feels very smooth
even though it gives good stability and support. I would pick it for a daily or long run on the road or light trail. However, it is a very allround shoe, I could also use Gel Kayano
for strength training or crossfit since it keeps you stable on the ground. The shoe fits perfectly and is true to size for me.

Highly cushioned running shoe
11 August 2023
Every runner will have their own preference for shoes, dependent on their running style and the type of running they do - so for context, I usually go for Brooks Launch for road running, which has minimal cushioning and is very light. The Asics Gel-Kayano has a lot of cushioning in the sole and I found the heel height quite weird. The back of the shoe also has a lot of cushioning around your heel but I found this pushed my foot forward. I got this in my usual running shoe size (one size bigger than other shoes) but because of the forward tilting heel, my toes felt forced into the end - perhaps need to go 1.5-2 sizes up. The sole itself didn't seem very flexible, perhaps because of all the foam, so running felt quite flat footed and not very springy. After trying these on a few 10k runs, mostly on pavement, I went back to my old Brooks, which make running for me more comfortable. The Asics are fine for walking, though I think the bulky sole looks a bit weird. The colours on the shoes are nice though, I particularly like the blue on the foam at the front.... Show more

Highly cushioned, supportive although sole a little bulky
23 August 2023
I really loved the colourway on these trainers, they are pretty versatile so will go with most colour outfits. The upper is black with a subtle yellow & purple, there is lovely splash of colour along the sole, in a bright rich cobalt blue running along in an ombre effect to turquoise/aqua. The underneath is white/yellow.These trainers feel and look great quality, they are super comfortable and your foot feels well cushioned and supported. I've managed a few 5ks in these without any issues although would say the heel is a little on the bulky side compared to my other trainers (Nike Pegasus 40), however I think you'd get used to this.I would say they come up a little on the small size so would recommend going up half a size.... Love 'em!
11 August 2023
I waited until I had some miles on my 30's to write a review. This spring, I was told by our local running store staff that Asics was changing the Kayano to be similar to the Hoka. His words were, "It's what the Hoka wishes it would be." Truth be told, I was a runner since 1979 of all distances including marathons until 2011 when I had to make changes and switch to hiking, walking, and other types of physical activities. I still wore my Kayanos but needed more stability and cushion. So I switched to Brooks Ariels. I like Brooks Ariels, but were difficult to find in my size (11B or D) and a light color. So I thought it best to try another brand. A couple of times I tried Hokas but the pain in my feet, knee and especially my hip from the shoes was unbearable. That's when the guy at the running store recommended I wait until the new Kayano 30 was released. When they were released, I went in, tried them on with my orthotics, and from Day 1 they have once again become my go-to shoe. Yes. I'm older. Yes. I have aches and pains here and there. But these shoes have once again made walking, doing intervals, and just plain wearing them and being comfortable a delight. Size Women's 11W with orthotics... Show more

👟 My Feedback: The Perfect Pair of Sneakers! 👟

Hey fellow sneaker enthusiasts! I just had to share my recent find with all of you. I've been on the hunt for a pair of well-supported and comfortable sneakers for a while now, and I finally stumbled upon the holy grail: the Asics Gel Kayano 30!Let me start by saying how impressed I am with the support these sneakers offer. As someone who is on their feet constantly for work, having proper support for my feet is crucial, and these sneakers deliver! They have excellent arch support and cushioning, which has made my work and dreaded long stroll back and forth from the work carpark feel like a breeze. No more sore feet or achy joints after long hours on my feet! The comfort level is off the charts! No more sore feet or achy joints after long hours on my feet! The comfort level is off the charts! The moment I slipped my feet into these shoes, I felt like I was walking on clouds. The interior is so plush, and the materials used are top-notch. Plus, they have a perfect fit, which is something I always struggle with as I have slightly wider feet.I've been wearing them for a couple weeks now, and the durability has been outstanding. The soles show minimal signs of wear and tear, even after putting them through some rigorous activities. It's great to know that I won't have to replace them anytime soon. The style is a winner too! They come in various color options, and I received so many compliments on how sleek and stylish they look. Not only are they great for work, but I've found myself wearing them casually as well.Lastly, the breathability is worth mentioning. My feet tend to get sweaty, especially during intense work days, but these sneakers have excellent ventilation, keeping my feet cool and dry throughout. In conclusion, if you're on the lookout for a pair of sneakers that offer top-notch support, incredible comfort, durability, and style, look no further than the Asics Gel Kayano 30. I can't recommend them enough! Happy stepping! 😊🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️... Show more

Premium cushioned running shoe
15 August 2023
First time running in ASICS and I'm impressed. Having read that earlier iterations of this shoe tended to come up small, especially in the toe box, I was a little worried, but this new designed model seems to have overcome that obstacle - I had no issue with my usual running shoe size (being a size up from dress/casual shoes)The shoes have a premium look and feel, matching the price tag, which is noticeable as soon as they are on your feet. Cushiony soft with a comfortable upper that holds your foot securely. These are definitely a shoe for longer, slow runs - the weight prevents them from being used for speedier workouts or tempo runs. Think long Sunday recovery run - this however makes them a tad expensive compared to other shoes in the same bucket.Overall, ... MoreFirst time running in ASICS and I'm impressed. Top tier running trainer
27 August 2023
Asisc have been my preferred running shoe for a number of years and I was excited to see how the latest edition of the Kayanos measured up. My first impression of the trainers is that they looked premium, the base of the shoe seemed bulky but I quickly got used to it and it did not feel bulky whilst running. I really like the bouncy sole and extra cushioning it provides. The trainers feel lightweight and breathable, and provide great comfort and stability even during longer trail runs. The foam and gel cushioning absorbed impact well and assisted in softer and smoother landings. This is an extremely supportive and comfortable trainer, and really delivered mile after mile. Wanting to love these but…
30 July 2023
Upgraded my Kayano 28s to the 30s in Gris Blue. Overall the cushioning is incredible and feels like you are running on a cloud. I had started experiencing some joint pain in my previous shoes which disappeared as soon as I switched to these. Also love how the shoe is higher around the ankle than in previous models, minimising any heel slippage. Unfortunately the toe/mid foot area feels far too wide for my foot, particularly on the left, which makes the shoe feel unstable. I thought this sensation would improve after a few runs but it has not. I also prefer the upper material of the platinum models. I would recommend these for the cushioning but not for the fit....
