Does not help with flat foot. Caused MORE pain
I've worn Gel Kayano's 27, 28, and now 30. The 20's were effective in aiding my flat foot. The new 30 model purchased showed lack of support after initial use. I immediately contacted Asics customer service and said I cannot process the return since I've worn it. After first use, my feet were in pain, now I can't return? #falseadvertisement... Show more

Do not recommend. Read the return policy
The cushioning is comfortable. I like the colors. The width is comfortable. My foot slides forward in the shoe and presses against the front of the toe box when I walk which makes it feel too small. When I stop and scoot my foot backward in the shoe, there is sufficient room. The sole of one shoe is very stiff and causes my foot to slap against the ground with each step and makes the stride of that one foot feel off balance. I could not return the shoes because the return policy specifically states that you cannot return worn or washed shoes. I'm not sure how I would know if I wanted to return the shoe without wearing it first. This pair now just takes up space in my closet.... Show more

Gel Kayano 30 Not A Fan!
Gel-Kayano 30 did not fit as well as previous Kayano. I am a RN and I also love to walk, workout and travel. I was in Italy walking over 10,000 steps a day and the support and comfort did not feel like previous Kayano I have worn for many years. Gel Kayano has shears be my top sneaker. I am really disappointed with the fit, narrower tie box, fit and comfort. I plan on returning them. Not my favorite Gel-Kayano. Sorry ASICS.... Show more

Great Sneaker for Arch Support
The shoe runs small. Had to get 1/2 size bigger. Toe box is a little small even with wide width. Its a snug fit but comfortable. Excellent arch support. Best arch support I have found. Wish they were tieless. Overall very comfortable sneaker and well made.... Show more

Happy Feet Forever now.
These shoes are fantastic. They have helped so much with my foot and let pain. I will be buying another pair soon in a different colour so that I have 2 pair to pick which ones to wear each day. I could not be happier with this purchase. The staff member was such a great help in picking the right shoes for my feet. My feet have never been happier. I have recommended these shoes to so many people since getting them.... Show more

Hopefully the 31s will be better?
I've been wearing kayanos exclusively for almost a decade and these just don't hit the mark. They wore through on the ankle within two months of light walking and chasing my toddler. It's just not as durable as the 29s. Now I have to actually think about buying shoes again (prematurely) and now I actually have to *think* about buying shoes again instead of just blindly grabbing the new kayanos.... Show more

How to get the most wear from your asics.
I have shin splints & Plantar fashiitis. I'm a nurse so I'm on my feet for long hours. These are the absolute best shoes! I won't wear anything else to work. I buy 2 pairs at a time so I can swap them out each day and give them time to air out & decompress. They seem to last longer this way. They usually last about 18 months. If I only buy 1 pair at a time then they last about 6 months.... Show more

Maximum cushion, minimal support
I’ve worn Kayano’s for years. I have flat feet and flare ups of plantar fasciitis. The new design of the 30 is a real disappointment. Initially, they feel great. They have a lots of cushioning and I recently learned if you have a flat foot you should buy a wide shoe. I did that and thought I found the perfect shoe. But then I put some walking miles on them and noticed my midsoles were in a lot of pain. Then my heel pain started to flare up. And my arches were killing me. All of the arch support that were in previous versions is gone. I don’t think this whole ‘maximum cushioning’ trend is the greatest thing for people with flat feet. We need some cushioning, but we also need some support. I’m going to try Brooks adrenaline. I hope they work. My feet are killing me.... Show more

The best sneakers out there
I have been wearing ASICS gel kayanos for over 20 years. I tried a few other brands in between and I was always disappointed. I recently switched to wider width ASICS, which felt like a dream. I absolutely love them. I have flat feet with arthritis in my ankles. These shoes provide excellent comfort, cushion and more importantly stability. I highly recommend.... Show more

Wonderful purchase worth ever penny
I bought these for a trip to Europe where I would be doing a large amount of walking. I am also a nurse and am on my feet 12 hours a day. I know about quality shoes. And these are it! They were perfect for my trip and this particular color looked great with my outfits even if I was dressing business casual. I would definitely recommend them. My feet never hurt once on the trip, they were tired but didn’t hurt. Win win win!... Show more
