Amazing new upgrade! The stretch fabric and added grip were great. I stand and am doing stairs all day and the cushion and stability on these kept me feeling good. I did need to go a half size up.

One of my absolute favorite shoes for running and for standing on my feet all day. It has the cushion to keep you comfy, but enough stability so it doesn't wear out as fast as other, more marshmallow style shoes do. I have my entire family wearing them!

Had these shoes recommended to me by The Athletes Foot, along with a high insole. I was getting plantar pain when running in them. That has subsided considerably. Still getting use to the shoes being a bit spongier than my previous shoes, but so far I’m happy with them!

At the advice of my podiatrist, I needed to find a more supportive shoe...these are so comfy and supportive and great to wear for long hours at a time. Also, the bright colors are really fun! Highly recommend!
Really like how much cushioning and stability these shoes give. I bought them for running but they’ve quickly become my all rounder gym shoe. I feel like it gives me good support through the knee when I do things like single leg RDL’s or other exercises that require balance. I am really blister prone and find these don’t rub on the back of my foot either - which is good if you’re a millennial and not doing the longer sock thing!

Purchased a pair of these for work shoes as I have been wearing them for years, in the previous models, as running/ gym shoes. They have been great for my flat feet with the addition of my orthotics and were my go to shoe to wear if my feet were having a bad day.The 31’s aren’t as good as the ones of the past. They are chunkier, heat my feet up and feel and look like a cheaper product. I have noticed in the past models those made in Vietnam have a better feel and look to them than those made in Indonesia. The 31’s in black are made in Indonesia and have that same feel of cheapness to them which is disappointing given the price paid for them.Please go back to the design of the 29’s and please look into why they are so different when made in different counties. These shoes are comfortable, but they are not good if you like running or walking or doing incline work on the treadmill. They are very squishy, slippery. They are not good for long distance work on the treadmill.
I run daily 3- 6 miles a day and have tried to break these sneakers in for the last two weeks. Running with them has caused my right knees and left upper foot area to hurt.I've compared them with other sneakers and have written a Log to ensure it is the new sneakers. It is the new sneakers. Footbed is wider than normal. Not as cushioned as past models.
The shoes have a very awkward and uncomfortable fit; the heel is curved in and causes pain even on a gentle walk. My ankles are bruised now. Meanwhile, the toe box is angled strangely so your feet are splayed out and a lot of pressure is put on your little toes. Overall, the gel-kayano 31 is heavy and stiff, causes pain and weighs you down while running. Not worth the price, very disappointing.
