I bought these and they run small very tight on the top of my toes were they go numb when running. I keep trying thinking they need stretch- no luck. My daughter was able to wear them and she wears a 6.5 mine were 8. I have other asics and love, I wear 8 no issues other asics. Again the cushion in them was the bomb just wish I could have ran in them first I did go local store and try on fit fine but not sure what happened and no returns if you wear. After my first run I noticed issue tried different socks still no improvement. Very light shoe also.

I power walk (5 mph) for at least 5 to 7 miles per day. For years ASICS gel nimbus has been my fist choice in running shoes. Sadly, I skipped out on the gel nimbus 21 and gel nimbus 22. These versions did not fit me as well as the gel nimbus 20. The toe box/shoe felt too wide in the 21 and 22 versions. I even tried to size down to a 7.5, but this didn’t help. I was eager to try the gel nimbus 23 after reading about the design changes. I bought a pair as soon as they were available for purchase. I bought my usual size, 8. The shoes run true to size. The cushioning seemed to just mold to my foot. These shoes aren’t as wide as previous versions and my feet didn’t slide off of the sides of the shoes. The shoes are lighter and the back of the shoe doesn’t come up as high as the earlier versions. After wearing the shoes for a couple of days, I couldn’t wait to tell my sisters how much I liked the new gel nimbus 23. I bought my sisters each a pair for Christmas!! I highly recommend these shoes! Thank you Asics for releasing one of the best versions of the gel nimbus!

For a decade and more, Asics Gel Nimbus provided me comfortable cushioning for plantar fasciitis relief. The gel insole flexibility is recommended by podiatrists to manage these very painful symptoms. Although I prefer the old-style Gel Nimbus 16 and prior, the 23 still helps. The difference is that the Gel Nimbus 23 heal counter is very narrow requiring you to force the heal of your foot into the sneaker. It is very tight to secure the heal recommending going up one size. Other style changes to cut manufacturing costs eliminates the tongue loop to secure laces to prevent the tongue from sliding. A miniscule cost savings, but significant important feature eliminated that is noticeable from the tongue. My pair of Asics Gel Nimbus 23 maybe my last pair unless Asics ... MoreFor a decade and more, Asics Gel Nimbus provided me comfortable cushioning for plantar fasciitis relief. The most comfortable shoes I’ve worn in forever, so i bought a second pair. Gel bottoms made for great cushioning and protection of my old, wary feet. They fit well. They work well. I don’t expect them to last long, however. The materials don’t seem built to last, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and i wear them very happily. They also look very snappy . By the way, I have wide feet and bunions and plantar fasciitis. So pleased. Female, size 10-1/2.
I developed awful plantar fasciitis after buying a pair of memory foam shoes from another brand that had no structure to them. These were recommended to me as a good shoe for people with PF.The upside is that they've worked miracles for my foot and heel pain, which is amazing. So much so that I went and bought a second pair of them.. But after wearing both pairs off and on for about a month, the left shoe on BOTH pairs has started making a popping noise with EVERY step I take. It seems to be coming from the forefoot area, and it doesn't happen until after I've worn the shoe for a couple of hours on any given occasion, but once it starts, it doesn't stop until they've been sitting again for a while. At first I thought maybe it was the tread sticking to the floor, but now it does it even on carpet...I love the way these shoes fit and feel, and how much they've helped the PF pain I had, but I have never had any sneaker do this, let alone two different pairs. Maybe it's something to do with my particular stride, but I don't feel it should even be a thought for something that costs this much. Unfortunately I've had both pairs for too long to return them. Now I just have to keep wearing them and hope it eventually goes away..
These 23's are my favorite style of Asics! Sadly Asics changed some features on the newer Nimbus 24. Which I'm passing on. (The tongue is not padded like the 23 style. Less cushion imo.) I work in health care and spend upwards of 18 hrs a day on my feet. Never any pain or rubbing. No break in time; fits well right out of the box. I will not be buying the newer 24 style. Wish Asics would stop trying to "improve" each newer model of a style. They already have a loyal following.
As soon as I put these shoes on, I was impressed by the cushioning, especially under the arch and the heel, plus the tongue of the shoe is padded as well as the collar around the back of the shoe (which helps provide ankle support). The outer sole of the shoe feels springy too.I usually remove the insole that comes in running shoes and replace it with my own inserts. But in this shoe, the inserts that came with the shoe were actually even softer than my own inserts. There's not enough room for both the shoe inserts and my own so I went with the soft Asics insoles.I ran 3 miles right out of the box and loved them. The only possible negative is that I think the shoe runs a little short because my big toes were a bit sore after my run. I usually wear a size 8 running shoe and have never worn anything larger than that. But this time I might order half a size bigger (an 8-1/2) to see if that's better.Otherwise, these shoes are great and I'd highly recommend them. Btw, if it's helpful, I am 73 years young, run 3 miles 2-3 times a week, walk 2 miles every morning with my husband, and often extend the walk to cover 4-5 miles on my own. I also do online workouts and cycling, and I wear my running shoes for all of these activities.
I have suffered with plantar fasciitis for several years. The first athletic shoe purchase I made just after seeing my podiatrist was a pair of ASICS Gel Foundations. I still wear them years later, they are still supportive and comfortable, although beginning to look worn. They no longer make the same model and it was suggested that the Gel Nimbus was a comparable replacement. Comfortable and supportive right out of the box! Love the new design overall, breathable material, great look!
I have tried many styles and versions of Asic shoes and I have to honestly say these are not my favorite. I have worn these now for about a month and can give an opinion on wearing these outside on pavement and concrete as well as in a gym setting. When initially putting them on they are very comfortable and light. I usually walk outside on pavement and concrete for 5 to 6 miles 3 to 4 times a week. These shoes were very comfortable and caused no issues with my plantar faceitis. The toe box feels wide and my toes never feel crowded. However, my heel constantly slips in these shoes and eventually my socks invariably end up in the middle of my foot. This becomes frustrating. I use the top lace hole as a heel lock as directed but they still slip. Also, when wearing in the gym on the elliptical machine, these shoes cause a burning throughout my foot when exercising for my usual 60 minutes. I have worn the Cumulus on the elliptical for many years and never had the issue. Sad to say these shoes are a miss for me and I regret buying them. Hope this helps!
I don't have the greatest feet and comfortable shoes are at times difficult for me to find. ASICS have been one of my go to brands over the years. This style is very comfortable, does not squeeze my toes or the sides of my feet while working out. Great heel support and cushion with classic styling.I love 'em. I work out on an elliptical machine 6-7 days a week. Medium weight I'd say due to the amount of cushion, but very breathable and supportive. I would buy this style again.
