Excellent Running Shoes & Manufacturer
I've been running in Gel-Nimbus 24 shoes for 12 months since I had a total hip replacement. The cushioning and stability has really suited my recovery which has gone extremely well. Half Marathon in three weeks time. Wondering if I could still buy some 24's since they have been superceeded, I checked on ASICS Outlet Shop Website and there they were in Safety Yellow. Second pair just as good as the first pair. Incidentally the first pair are still performing well after 550 Kms with good grip and still adequate cushioning. ASICS Outlet Shop is very easy to buy from. I ordered (at a great price) on a Saturday and they were delivered free by Yodel on Tuesday morning. Excellent service and product. Highly recommended.... Fantastic upgrade to an old favourite!
I have been a fan of the Gel-Nimbus series for a long time and have always loved them as my standard running shoe. Each version of the series I wonder what could improve but am always pleasantly surprised - the Nimbus-24 is no exception! In fact, this time I was more surprised than ever. This version is more light weight than others, yet packs in more cushioning and comfort than previous versions. The fit and comfort with this range of shoes is always excellent and predictable from version to version. It will remain my 'go to' high quality running show for future replacements and I would highly recommend it.... Great shoe for an older citizen
I just received your "you have probably been busy" review reminder. Yes, I've been busy putting my new Gel-Nimbus 24 thru quite the test. I took my shoes to Panama City, the Amazon, Rio , and Sao Paulo. I am past the age of running (mid 70's) but also at a point in life where I am seeking stability and security in my walking. The shoe was incredible. Comfortable and responsive whether walking in the rain forest, the cobble stone streets of the old city in Panama, Climing through a Rio Favela or just walking and shopping in Sao Paulo. They held up completely and still are clean and ready for more steps.... Show more

Like walking on clouds
I have been an avid Asics shoe wear for the past 10 years, have been through 4 series of Nimbus and 2 Kayanos, and these new Nimbus models are great. I have the 23 last years one as well and have noticed a significant difference. These new ones are more cushioned, the shoe lip is changed from a large thick pad to a thin one, they feel much lighter and the toe box feels more roomy. I also noticed around the ankle it feels more snug. These are like walking on air. I have used max cushioning shoes from other brands like Brooks and Nike, but Asics is the highest cushioning which I noticed as I have plantar fasciitis and with these I am pain free. The cushioning is comparable to only Sketchers maybe. Overall a huge improvement with some great changes compared to last ... Long time Nimbus wearer, very disappointed
I typically wear these for light running < 20 miles per week. I've had just about every version of gel nimbus from the beginning. The soles and cushioning just didn't hold up and were worn out at least two times faster than the gel nimbus 23s. On top of it the construction of the shoe is terrible, the quality is lacking. The heal cup is so sharp that it cuts through the padding and scars it blisters my ankles. I've never experienced this before even when I was running several marathons and half marathons a year. The old nimbus models held up to 60-70 miles a week and didn't have any of these issues.... Show more

Probably just a few mm weider than the normal
Although it's a Wide product it's probably just a few mm wider compared to the normal version. A bit better but still not enough. I fit just perfect in the industry's standards but this time Asics did something wrong with the new Nimbus 24 and Nimus 24 Wide.I used to wear in the last 12 years only Asics and starting from the cheap models (50 Euro) this one is the most expensive and is squeezing my toes. Nimbus 24 does it like hell. I put both version side by side and i can't find any difference. The rest of the Asics quality it's still there.... Show more

So impressed I bought 8 Pairs!
I was so impressed by the feel and fit of this shoe that I ended up buying 8 pairs!I have extremely flat feet that have slowly caused issues with my knees over the years. Extended walks and standing for long periods of time have always been an issue no matter the brand of shoe until now. I recently purchased and took a pair of Gel Nimbus 24 on a trip with me to Oaxaca Mexico. We walked and hiked 6 to 7 hours a day for 7 days. Not once did I feel any discomfort whatsoever! This was such a profound experience that I jumped online while in Oaxaca and ordered another 7 pairs. The ergonomics are so spot on that they feel like you're not wearing anything! No pressure points whatsoever! The cushioning is superbly balanced, responsive, rediculously comfortable and shock ... The best Nimbus yet…
This is my 3rd pair of Nimbus shoes. 19 - were great; 22 - meh; 24 - I was a little wary of these after my experience with the 22s, but after trying various Nike runners and a couple of Brooks runners (all returned for various reasons), I decided to try these on at a local Asics store. Within a minute, I was convinced these were exactly what I was looking for.The shoes are really comfortable without being too squishy. While I am not a runner and I don’t specifically need bounce and energy feedback, the shoes feel great for my walking. I walk between 6-12 km a day, depending on where I am working on the day and these shoes are perfect for allergies day wear. The upper and socky, gusseted tongue just enhance the comfort.Only negatives I can think of.. the plastic ... Doesn’t affect the grippy sole but makes me doubt the longevity of the outsole.... Show more

Tongue in cheek!
These are the most comfortable trainers with great cushioning over the whole of the sole. I have worn ASICS gel nimbus for many years and as a senior distance runner they keep all the associated aches and pains to a minimum. I particularly love the elastic aged tongue - so good for helping the tendinitis on the dorsum of my left foot. I can get the right balance of tying the laces tight enough but preventing them from aggravating my injury. Such a plus that I’ve bought 2 pairs! My only criticism and reason for 4 not 5 stars is the heel tab height. Sometimes it’s hard to open the shoe enough when you’re in a hurry and one of my shoes has lost the support at the back. I have to really open wide the shoe for this not to happen and as I wear very short socks ... MoreThese are the most comfortable trainers with great cushioning over the whole of the sole. I have to really open wide the shoe for this not to happen and as I wear very short socks (socklettes) the sock can chafe down and need readjusting during my run. I used to love it when your shoes had the Achilles dip in the heel tab but that’s history, I get it!!Otherwise, perfect trainers.... Show more
