Great stability, solid lockdown and good cushioning. However, the sizing was a little off, as we had to go up a size to find the correct fit (this is for women's, can't comment on men's ASICS shoes). There isn't much break in time needed, as any stiffness seemed to be a from the 'cage' of protection around the upper.

The Clay is specifically for Clay courts. I bought this pair for outdoor PickleBall and the help center told me before purchase that If the shoe said “Clay” it was for for all outdoor courts and if it didn’t say Clay, it is meant for indoor courts. This is wrong. The Clay is for Clay courts Only and the majority of outdoor PickleBall courts are hard surface or concrete. You can tell the Clay shoes apart from other shows because they have a herringbone pattern on the bottom of the shoe. ASICS order desk, do better! It’s your shoes! I had to have a second party explain this to me. Your order desk needs training.

These basics are a perfect fit, excellent quality plus beautiful shoes. I have been wearing them around the house all week pretending to break them in but actually it's because they are comfortable and gorgeous. Love them!
Love the look and feel of these shoes. They are different than any other ASICS I have purchased. They have no cloth on them and look like they should stay clean and be easily cleanable. They are comfortable- not as narrow as some of my other ASICS. Wearing them as a nurse for 12+ hours a day.
Good shoe. 4 stars only because the inner stitch / fabric cut through my foot on the first 3 wears with and without socks. But as the shoe got worn down the discomfort settled. Overall nice supporting shoe.
I’m not one to purchase and return things. So I did a lot of research and I decided on these Bc I’m an avid pickleball player and needed a good grip. The grip was great but the over all comfort gets nothing. The tongue is sewed to the line of the shoe. There are four spots to two bilateral area where friction from material causes me irritation. I’m disappointed Bc I was hoping to buy more of these shoes if it was comfortable.
Maybe I ordered the wrong size, but the bottom of the nail bed of my right big toe is scraping against the top of the shoe. The footbed seems unusually shallow compared to earlier versions of the Gel Res 8. I switched to KSwiss during the pandemic because I could not find any ASICS, which are by far the best and my most favorite tennis shoe. I always wore them until I couldn’t find them. So when I saw these for sale recently, I pounced!!! And am really disappointed.Also, I dislike the tongue of the shoe — it’s sewn in and doesn’t move. Sorry.
You have NON in stock in sizes 8-8 1/2 in ANY style of Tennis shoe. NONE.Not at your website not in any store and even on line at other venues.You need to figure out how to get people like me informed when they first come out.I am now getting your emails but to me they are a waste of my time because you have NOTHING except size 5.
I have been wearing Gel Resolutions for years, just get the next years model every time.. The newest model is very comfortable, but I hate the addition of the non stretchy criss cross straps over the laces. Doesn’t seem to bother my friends but I have 2 pairs of these and have cut that off both pairs.
