Hi. I love asic running shoes and currently have nimbus 26 and gel-kayano 30. As I’m heading overseas shortly I wanted an all round jogger so I went for all black ASICS - GEL-TRABUCO 12 G-TX which is a gortex running shoe. Love the shoe, support and comfort.

The only pair of sneakers I own. The all black colour is just about smart enough for work. They’re waterproof so suitable for living in UK where it’s wet all seasons. The base is comfy and supportive. Only thing I’d say is it’s not very breathable but that’s the trade off with waterproof shoes.

I have been using these in the winter/early season on Mount Rainier, doing everything from snowshoeing, to hiking in deep snow, to descending wet and icy and steep mountainous terrain (think rocks, tree roots, etc.) and these shoes have done amazingly well in all of these conditions.As long as I have had gaiters on, these shoes have kept my feet nice and dry the entire time. The grip is also incredible, giving me the confidence to descend steep and wet mountainous terrain without any worries.

Shoe was comfortable at first, but needed a little break in. After the break in, the fit is even better. Gortex lining works great and feet are nice and dry. Much lighter and easier to wear than my other duty boots. Definitely recommend for a work style shoe!
I convinced hubby to try ASICS for walking the dog. I also convinced him to size up. He has a foot injury and these have worked a treat. Also water resistant for muddy fields and puddles. He loves them. I have converted him!
A generally comfortable and supportive shoe, but with an annoying design flaw that might just be specific to the shape of my feet on top of orthotics and/or maybe I just had a defective pair. The material of the over the toe box was quite stiff and plasticy, and when going onto the balls of my feet with each stride when walking, this part of the shoe would bunch up and then snap back with an annoying sensation over the top of my feet. I am huge fan of ASICS shoes and this is first time I've had an issue like this. Fortunately the Athlete's Foot staff were very helpful and understanding and were happy for me to return the shoes. I landed up getting the similar (and cheaper) Gel Sonoma GTX 7 and am happy with them.
Fantastic shoes for running on roads, tracks and paths - uphill and down. They shrug off rain and splash through even deep puddles keeping socks dry. Lots of cushioning for roads and support for uneven tracks. I use them every day in the winter. Brilliant!
I feel the trabuco 10 is the best of the rest in the trabuco range/series it just ticks all the right boxes regarding a Gortex trainer looks amazing has the best comfort level, has the best breathable and stretchable material as well a deep grip for all terrain.It wins by a comfortable margin against the world's best so-called Gortex brands such as Nike, Adidas, North Face etc
Was replacing like for like with these having completely worn out my old trabucos. Overall these are good but the lacing set up is different and I don’t like the newer one all, wish I’d noticed the difference in the pictures before ordering as I might have made a different choice. Hopefully they will hold up as well as the old pair.
I've in the the GEL-TRABUCO since version 8 and they just get better and better. I have two pairs of these 12s which I alternate because they invariably get wet on the trails so I have a dry pair on hand. I've done lots of longer runs (40km +) and they're proper workhorses. Love them!
