ASICS comfort from day one! I have wide feet and a bunion on one foot! ASICS toe box is perfect for me. Straight out of the box and on holiday walking around 10 miles every day for two weeks over varied terrain. Highly recommend.

These are terrific trail running shoes. I wear these a couple of times a week hiking and running forest trails in the North-East. They handle everything - uneven terrain, mud, slippery sticks and stones - amazing. The only thing these almost-miracle shoes can’t protect you from is black ice - let’s face it, they’re trail shoes, not ice-skates. And if you step in a snow mound your feet will still get a little wet, she says speaking from experience. Asics are my favorite brand of running shoes, and these are arguably my favorite pair.

With recent purchases the frame of the trainer is short as thought I have inadvertently purchased a child’s size. By short I mean the sides and back which protects the ankle are not as high as they should be aa once were. This makes you feel as though the shoe is too small and it looses the strength and support around the ankles. Have to question whether this is a cost saving because it is not a good design feature. Btw I have osteochondral defects in both ankles so support is vital

Disappointed
7 April 2021

Was very excited to buy this shoe, but after wearing it twice the sole is already coming loose and some of the front toe grip is becoming brittle/starting to tear off. I am a 7 and bought a 7, but often find my toes squeeshing in the front. There is an uncomfortable amount of friction between the inner sole and the pad of my foot. It is definitely not a heavy shoe though, which is great. My previous asics shoe was the gel-pulse 9, loved this shoe, wore it for 3 years hiking and running on all terrains - it is what motivated me to go for asics again.Maybe my expectations were just too high for the gel trabuco terra?

Needed to order a bigger size.
16 April 2024

I ordered these in my usual size (regular running shoe: asics). These were just slightly too small. Unfortunately I had to return and ordered in a bigger size. Otherwise, they felt great on. Can't wait for my next pair...

Outdoor trail trainers, excellent in the wet
16 April 2023

Very comfortable and true to size, great on uneven surfaces and the wet. Great grip on the soles. Put them on and away you go. Feet are snug no blisters or rubbing. Just exactually what you need for outdoor footwear.

Using these for crossfit
1 February 2023

I bought these for gym shoes. I usually do weight training, throwin some burpees or weight jumping jacks before walking on the inclined treadmill for 30 minutes. These shoes are hard in the toe area. Most shoes for athletics have to be supportive. Not having any negative outcomes using these shoes. I have not really ever had a bad pair of ASICS.

very hard
25 September 2024

These are the narrowest and stiffest sneakers I've ever owned. I don’t think they cushion anything. I had Asics that were much cheaper than these, but much softer. It fits very close to the heel, narrow in this place. I didn’t think at all that it was possible to make a narrow heel and not enough soft material on the sides of the heel. The toe is also narrow. My leg is tolerant, but closer to narrow.
