Asics GT-1000 11
I've used Asics GT 1000 or 2000 for my running shoe requirements for years as I need a good running shoe with some mild support. So anywhere I can find them (online) at the right price I know they will do the job! These ones are no exception, feel like all the others (comfortable, the right mild support, some cushioning, good ventilation). The price I paid this time unbelievable! £61 direct from Asics, really can't complain as I struggle to get my size usually (mens 6.5, 40.5 eur size). Bought these shoes this time as my second shoes as I bought a pair of Asics Novablast 4 a few weeks ago, which I want to keep clean. As I say at the price really can't complain and know what I was getting. Only thing colours not too attractive (Black/Cilantro), but don't mind as I've ... Awesome shoe! Shipping needs to be better.
A co-worker referred me to ASICS so I gave it a try.. I usually buy the Adidas and Nike but I decided to buy these shoes for work and they did not disappoint me! I was able to break them in two days and are super comfortable! They are comparable to the Ultra boosts from Adidas but made better (my opinion) and I got them for half the price! Can’t beat that!My only gripe is ASICS could do better on the shipping. From notification too the buyer ( I had to make too many phone inquiries about where my shoes were) To making the shipping a little cheaper.... Show more

Comfortable
Sneaker is comfortable with a generous amount of cushion. 2nd pair owned. Would buy again, but only in store, not online. One star taken away because although DSW advertises promotions on the page for this sneaker, none of the promotions actually apply to the sneaker. In cart, an error message appears saying the sneaker is excluded from all promotions. A second star was lost because the shoe arrived in a smashed generic clearance box with no tags or packaging and the toe-box has several deeply indented creases. This is a consistent problem with DSW when online shopping in my experience.... Show more

Excellent Shoe
My favorite shoe ! Having owned a few pairs my feet, back, and knees love them.Great hot weather shoe, very breathable too.Laces stay tied also.....(I have owned many that do not)Seem to be long lasting as well, using as a work shoe, which involves ,ladder climbing, lots of walking etc...some stomping. Not so good for wet situations as stated very breathable which also equals wet feet in puddles, wet grass etc. But I wear a different shoe for those known situations, snow, cold wet etc. Also they stand behind their product !!!I had a pair fall apart with in a couple months of purchasing, unstitching etc. from the little toe area. (both shoes) I usually don't see my toes poking out for at least 6-9 months depending on my work.It was a slight pain contacting them as any ... MoreMy favorite shoe ! Good shoe with some minor gripes.
The shoe is super comfortable and I’ve already put about 70 miles on them. I’m still breaking them in, but the heel back seems short, that is, it hits my Achilles tendon lower than my other ASICS. Not a deal breaker but feels awkward. The other thing is, the gel doesn’t go all the way around the shoe but stops midway…at least aesthetically. Other than that, the shoe is lightweight and comfortable. I’d be interested to try the new model and see if it compares. Maybe they will send me some to review. (Size 10). I’ve been running in ASICS ever since high school, can’t seems to be brave enough to switch to a different manufacturer.... Show more

My “Go To” shoe!
I’m rebuilding my body post 4 spine surgeries including fusions with Hardware and at 3.5 years post-op, I Bosu… the rounded side down to work my core & balance cooldown.I need the best grip I can buy!I’m solid on either leg, or both and because I never wear the same pair on consecutive gym days, I own multiple pairs of ASICS running & training shoes. At age 67, with a fixed minimalist “income” and “Disabled,” although I prefer Uniquely Restructured,I no longer bounce like a kid, so I’m about the sole & grip along with construction. That said, I’m also stylish and I won’t wear just anything on this Multi-Million Dollar “Jacked” body!ASICS is my brand of work shoe 2+ hours, 5 days per week because of solid construction, sure-grip soles, varying styles, plus ... My Sole Mate
I'm not concerned about branding, but this particular shoe is a perfect fit and provides maximum comfort while running. I love that the insole cushion wraps up the heel instead of being cut flat. It's a minor difference, but it prevents callus buildup. The only problem I seem to have is my big toenail wearing the fabric out above it. Not much of an issue since that's about the time I need to replace the shoes from active use.... Show more

Poort fit
This is one of the worst fitting pair of shoes I have ever bought. I need shoes with a wide toe-box, and usually order extra-wide for good measure (even though the measuring device says my foot width is normal). I have a really tough time finding shoes that fit comfortably. New Balance M560s were great, but in their infinite wisdom New balance stopped making them.I saw the GT-1000 reviewed as having a wide toe-box, so I bought a pair, with great hope. That hope was dashed the first time i wore them. I ordered a length 1/2 size up, and the X-wide. These shoes are still pretty tight in the toe-box. Even worse, they dug into my heel. After just a mile walking in them to try them out, they had rubbed away the skin on my heels. I had to take them off.Why can't shoe ... Really great trainer. Great value too.
These are a replacement for a pair of ASICS that had lasted me for many years of regular use. Similar model and equally as comfortable, supportive, lightweight and flexible. Hopefully as durable too. Great that ASICS continue to make their shoes in the larger sizes. Also very good value. Nike are more than twice the price for an equivalent trainer.... Show more

Surprisingly Good Running Shoe
I bought these shoes on July 2023, and I've ran over 300 miles in them and they still have a while to go. I used them for my cross country season, and though they were not meant for that they were surprisingly good. They have perfect comfort, and excellent durability. However, I noticed that they don't have a lot of support when it comes to heels. I started having pain in my heels, and it led me to have more stability exercise, but then I found out the shoe was the problem. It is a minor inconvenience, but I definitely recommend this shoe for anyone who is looking for affordable and durable running shoes.... Show more
