I brought the ASICS GT-1000 SL2 for my son as they best fit his orthotics. After 2 months the stitching has come away from the toe piece. The internal threads are long and not tied down inside the shoe, leading to it getting caught on his toes and uncomfortable. Im sorry to say the synthetic leather also started to crack at the 3 month mark. Im hoping its just that shoe as previously brought ASICS have lasted longer.

Great shoes this is the third pair we have purchased as they keep growing out of them. Only improvement would be if the toe end was a little firmer as our son always ends up wearing through the end even with the double layer but he is usually needing the next size by the time he does this.

My 7-yo has slight ankle pronation and the Asics GT-1000 was prescribed by the podiatrist to help support my child's gait better. The shoes are a very comfortable fit, very durable and the last pair I bought him is still in great condition even after 3 terms of wearing it to school everyday. Only bought a new one this year as he has outgrown his last pair. Buying it from Shoes & Sox during a sale also means you get the best prices and service.
Like the title says… Great shoes, great value! I always like to buy quality school shoes for my kids and Myer always has the best back to school sales. I. Oils find a pair of ASICS locally for under $100 unless it was an old style or didn’t meet the school requirements. Every year Myer comes through with the goods and had multiple options for under $100!
I bought these shoes for my child to wear in school. After 3 months of wear, the material around the toe of each shoe is peeling off. I have requested a refund or replacement, but Shoes and Sox claim this is normal wear and tear. So on that basis, if you are looking for a pair of $100+ shoes, and only want them to last the first term at school, then these are for you. If not, stay away, and buy something else.
These sneakers are very comfortable, supportive and a great style. Not too chunky and not too plain. Although they’re a ‘girls’ sneaker, the sizing goes quite high and will fit women’s small to average sizes as well!
I brought this for school. At the start, it was nice it was quite comfy but after. During mid term to end of the term, it lost all its comfort and my foot was hurting after wearing it after sport. i would not really recommended this shoe. For me, it should go for around 70-80 dollars but $110 is a bust.
Unfortunately despite these shoes being highly recommended, and durable, the sole started separating at the toe end of the shoe within 1 week. The salesperson at Rebel was awesome and agreed they were faulty and offered a swap, or a refund. We’re on the second pair despite this, so hopefully it was a one off.
This is my daughter's second pair, she used these as her daily school shoe. She walks to and from school, uses them for PE, athletics carnivals, PE, etc. She finds them comfortable and the first pair lasted quite a long time until she outgrew them. She was happy to go the same again. She has a separate pair of Asics netburners for netball that she loves too.
