Asics nailed it!
The GT-2000 v12 is perfection! Soft, stable, and lightweight. I tried the Kayano 30 but it was too soft, and clunky. This is a good alternative to any Kayano fans that do not like the new revamping of the shoe. I have been dealing with a mild post tib tendonitis and plantar fasciitis, and the GT-2000 did not aggravate any of these conditions while running in them.... Show more

Fantastic Updates to a Fantastic Shoe
I have been running in the GT-2000 series exclusively since 2015. I pretty much stopped running for the past couple years, but picked it up again about 6 months ago with a new pair of GT-2000 10s. Dealt with some nagging shin issues, and I thought I may have started back too fast so I tried taking a break and coming back very slowly but the same thing happened. Then I thought maybe it was the shoes, and maybe I just needed something with more cushion now. So I went to my local running store to try out a bunch of different shoes and WOW, the GT-2000 has certainly changed. The 12 immediately felt much more cushioned than the 10, but still felt light, and the stability features are much more natural-feeling. I never would've thought that I would want a big change to a shoe I had been so loyal to for so long, but the updates have made them even more comfortable and more fun to run in. I've only taken them on a couple runs so far, but they felt great on both an easy run and a tempo run, and my shin issues were non-existent on both. Big fan of the GT-2000 12 and the updates they made.... Show more

Great sneaker!
I have purchased many Asics Gel Nimbus in the past. I always get a size 9.5 every year. This year the outer sole has a high platform and a noticeable slant at the toe which I believe is meant to give you more propulsion forward when running. The new platform is not necessary for my daily activities such as walking, HIIT, strength training, rope jumping. I returned the Nimbus and ordered the GT-2000 12 Running Shoe and it seems like what I was used to with the previous Nimbus models (maybe not as much gel cushion as a Gel Nimbus but the outer sole is similar in thickness and that’s what I like).... GT 2000 replacement runners
GT2000 bought for running, only worn x2, provides good ankle cushioning and arch support for high arch. Good cushioned sole support on contact with ground less stress on feet & calf muscles during longer run. Colours a bonus too good alternative to black would recommend for shorter and longer runs (up to 20k) on tarmac & harder surfaces.... Show more

Just ok
I have 150+ miles on these shoes and at this point just looking forward to their retirement. They fit true, good lockdown, no blisters or hotspots, but the midsole is just so blah. Perhaps because it’s a stability shoe and the FF Blast+ formula is different (I dont know this to be the case) but it feels unforgiving and dead. I thought maybe a break in period would make these shoes better, but after over 150 miles I’ve concluded they’re duds. Just get yourself a pair of the Novablast 4’s.... Show more

Love ASICS
Bought these in the sale. I like ASICS trainers - had a pair of 4.5s that were comfy but so snug I had to wear them barefoot. Then I bought a pair of size 5 from another store and they are a bit big! So went back to size 4.5 this time and I think ASICS might have got a little more generous in sizing from my first pair? Anyway they seem perfect though I haven’t used them much yet as I’m wearing out the size 5s first.... Show more

My feet feel great in these !
To be so honest these shoes are great ! Better than Hokas. I had to return two pairs of Hokas before I bought these shoes and the GT-2000 have worked absolutely amazing for my feet and ankles. I have flat feet yet the shoes does miracles for my feet especially when it comes to running. Awesome find and I hope this review helps someone else looking for a comfortable running shoes and looking to buy a shoe other than Hoka shoes. Buy these instead honestly.... Show more

Solid Shoe
I’ve been wearing GT 2000’s for 10+ years. I’ve never really felt or noticed a difference in any of the updates until the 12. I do notice the increased cushion and it’s a really light shoe. The soles of the base of the shoe slightly wider, so if you’re an ankle kicker like me, you will feel the wider base. It’s been a good reminder for me to pick up my feet and straighten my feet as a run and don’t let them drift inward. All the positive changes in this show outweigh my increased ankle kicking 🫠... Tongue Edge irritates ankle
Went back to Asics after several years with Brooks. I always run in low or no show socks. New tongue design has unfinished neoprene edge. Test run on treadmill noticed irritation of tongue against instep. Adjust tongue and resume test. Stopped in less than mile as tongue has drawn blood across instep. Had no such issues with earlier models with the padded tongue edge. Would not recommend with no show socks.... Show more
