I bought these shoes a few weeks ago to replace a pair of sneakers that I owned for almost 15 years. I didn't wear the old sneakers very often, but I got these and have been wearing them almost everyday. I chose these because of the muted black-on-black color (I didn't want a flashy multi-colored shoe), and the price was right. Most sneakers are more than $100. These were closer to $65. I don't run these days, so I'm mostly walking in them. I wear them all day and they feel really good. They are light, breathable and really comfortable. We'll see how they hold up, but I like them so far.

Sizing is right on, width length etc. I have run 10 times so far in these and have no complaints. I was worried that since I found them on a super sale they would be cheap or not built to last but I wouldn’t have been upset paying full price for these (I wouldn’t have, but I wouldn’t be mad if I did lol). Cushion is good, not great, but I’m not big into those mega cushion sneakers that are becoming popular, so I’ll have to say that these are perfect for me. Nice and light weight, I can’t currently think of a complaint about these shoes, based on what I expected with the purchase. I’d recommend to anyone walker or runner. They look nice and stylish too. Tons of colors to choose from which is helpful!

Having been wearing a pair of ASICS for some time as an everyday shoe/trainer, it made sense to purchase a pair for running in place of my Brooks. Gel contender 7 looked good and had good reviews in many publications. After purchasing, the shoes were delivered quickly and efficiently. On arrival when trying on, the left shoe fit well, very comfortable. The right shoe felt different, not so comfortable, when walking the left shoe was very comfortable but the right shoe rubbed the heel and felt as if the ball of the foot did not fit the insert. When running the same was found and gave blisters. Hopefully in a short timeframe the right shoe will become comfortable.

The shoes were cheap $(50AUD), so thought I’d give them a try. They are not very good.The soles are hard! They feel like compressed, hard foam, they don’t take on the shape of your foot over time, it’s almost like wearing cheap work boots or something. I remember owning ASICS gel shoes when I was younger, and they weren’t like these at all. I have an old pair of adidas shoes, they’re about 8-9 years old now, and they are slightly more comfortable and still feel a lot feel more supportive than these brand new ASICS gel shoes.Not recommend.
I usually wear 9 men shoe size but I read the reviews before I ordered the shoe and the majority recommended a one size over your normal wear; so I did order 91/2 instead of my normal 9… Surprisingly; even 91/2 size wasn’t big enough for me and the Wide Width they claim is NOT there !!!!!! The ONLY positive thing about this shoe is the comfort but sizing is all out of wack !!!! They most definitely dropped the ball on this particular shoe. if you are still interested in this shoe; I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU ORDER A WHOLE SIZE OVER YOUR NORMAL SIZE; that’s if you wear size 9 men ; I recommend you order size 10….Still at this PRICE; the shoe is well worth it but be careful with the size…Best of Luck !!!
I like the look and general feel, but like many other shoes Ive looked at lately they have ZERO arch support. Companies are going to some kind of memory foam insole and these are like those. Flat insole when I need extra arch support loses some stars. I read reviews saying it had good support, but that isnt the case. Looking inside the shoe and its flat.

Good value for the price point for a solid basic running shoe. More comfortable than expected, and gave me a very good impression of Asics. (My preferred brand is Saucony. Been an Asics fan for many years, and their shoes continue to be fantastic! These seem to run a little narower than my past experience -- so, at a size 10, I had to go to a "Wide" width (actually, "Extra Wide" as listed on the DSW page). Otherwise, the 10-Extra Wide are extremely comfortable, with lots of footbed cushioning, great tread, great heel and ankle support. Should be a great walking-, running-, and general-use fitness shoe!
i’ve been buying asics lower-mid range shoes for years. always found them great for the gym, running errands, work around the house, etc. loved the gel contend 6 and wore down multiple pairs.but somethings really wrong with these shoes. the toe box is TINY, way tight around the middle of the shoe, ankle is out of wack, and worst of all it looks and feels cheaply made. these don’t feel like asics, they feel like a different brand of cheap shoe i was trying to avoid. really disappointed, i always found that a $60 pair of asics were a great investment that i couldn’t get a lot of use out of.i’ll be hesitant to buy asics again in the future.
