I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the Gel Nimbus 23 and ASICS Customer Service! I have been a loyal ASICS running footwear customer for about 25 years, and Gel Nimbus specifically for 10 years. I bought 2 pairs in December '22 and started to use them in February '23 which brought on problems with my right foot. Turns out these shoes are smaller than the Nimbus 21s I previously used. Customer Service said they changed their manufacturer during the pandemic, and their sizing specs were evidently modified... Too late to exchange or return these now! They now recommend going a half-size larger... Would have been nice to post that on their website prior to ordering in December! Buyers beware of the new ASICS sizing specs... Moreover, this is NOT the way a world class ... MoreI am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the Gel Nimbus 23 and ASICS Customer Service! I absolutely love these! They're extremely light, flexible, breathable, and unique. There's no popping at all like with other Asics and there was little to no break-in period. Even the shoelaces are awesome - they're very thin and not plushy or bulky, so you get a nice, tight bow when you tie them. I usually run about 3-4 miles and not once have they come loose on a basic single-knot bow. One thing to note is that since it's a knit, the design is different from standard shoes. This shoe doesn't have an independent tongue and instead the tongue section is part of the shoe itself. Also, the opening and back of the shoe hugs your ankle nicely. I'd recommend wearing ankle-high socks. I tried using these shoes while wearing no-show socks and the back part of the shoe ... MoreI absolutely love these! They're extremely light, flexible, breathable, and unique. I'm not one to normally post reviews on products, but after purchasing my first pair of Asics shoes in almost two decades, I am incredibly impressed with my new shoes. These shoes are by far some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I mostly walk with these shoes (with occasional running), and my feet feel great! The sole is very soft and provides the perfect amount of support around my heel. I can't recommend them enough! I've purchased shoes from many different brands over the past couple of years, and my Asics are by far the best!

Bought a pair of Nimbus 23 2E fitting to replace my Kayano 27 the soles of which had worn out after 12 months. To relieve the soreness, and not being a pronator, I opted for the extra cushioning of Nimbus. The fit felt good in the store and the first two times I went on 8km runs the cushioning worked fine & my feet were much less sore. But by the third/fourth outing the issue of support or lack thereof became apparent especially in the heel. I will continue to run in them but my next pair will not be Nimbus. Also, I have noticed with my current Nimbus and previous two pairs of Kayanos my feet get very hot after 1-2 kms, even with thin socks. I wonder whether this has to do with the uppers of all three, the fabric and parts of the sole and moulding being - I don’t ... MoreBought a pair of Nimbus 23 2E fitting to replace my Kayano 27 the soles of which had worn out after 12 months. Unfortunately the 2E fitting only came in black. Why the obsession with black?
I did a lot of research before buying my Nimbus 23 shoes, with runners at the local harriers and online. I've always had problems getting shoes to fit my wide feet and not many shops supply half sizes. Also I've got a lot of miles on the clock and feel it on my knees, shins and feet when sprinting. So I wanted good fit and good shock absorption- research done I chose the N23s.The web site is straight forward and pretty informative in helping you choose the right shoes and set up.Delivery (from Germany) was fine. Upon opening the box I spotted the size and it was not what I ordered!I tried them on as I thought it was only a size out I might get lucky?Since trying them on I've done about 60 miles running and sprinting in them and I totally love them. No more sore knees/ feet. No blisters or chafing during breaking in period! In fact there was no breaking in period.Turns out I ordered in UK size and of course the shoes arrived in Eu measurement written on the shoes. I knew what is assumed to be the equivalent and thought they were wrong.Reading some info regards Eu/Uk sizes, turns out they are not directly comparable. Asics had worked out from the info I gave them (wide feet etc) and got it spot on.Maybe only people who really struggle to get correctly fitting shoes will appreciate what it means to get a 100% fit. It's actually very painful putting up with something that's just quite close.
Good neutral comfortable running shoe. Been running in Asics Gel Nimbus for several years, they run small and narrow. I wear a 9-Wide street shoe, and 9.5 Extra Wide works best for my feet, without pinched toes. Good support and get 5months (500miles) wear running mainly flat gravel and blacktop surface, 5miles daily at joggers pace (6mph). Being in the 4th quarter of running career, need comfortable shoe that does not pinch toes or aggravate sore joints. Shoes only used for running, though get another 6months daily wear once retired from running.
I bought these shoes specifically to try a slightly wider shoe. I enjoy the Gel Nimbus, but it always just feels a little too tight. I measure my foot and it appears to be about 1/8” wider than recommended for the standard shoe. I purchased these shoes to see if the slight increase was noticeable. It was like night and day. Now I own a comfortable shoe that I do not like the looks of, but it helped solve the width issue. The downsize, ASIC really doesn’t support wider feet. Yes they have a few, but they are very limited within their line. How about just making your shoes a smig wider and have everyone just pull their laces a little tighter? Otherwise, the shoes are comfortable, balanced and feel more solid and cushioned than the previous version.
This shoe looks very cool on the picture but when worn, it is very painful. I LOVE previous Gel Nimbus shoes (Nimbus is my go-to favorite) but this particular knit version is not well designed. The knit upper opening is very tight and constantly pushes down on the top of my ankle and foot so much so, it cuts of the circulation to my foot and it gets tingly and painful. Also with all the pressure from the tight, knit opening, the bottom of my feet and especially toes hurt from being forced onto the bottom of the shoe. The back liner of the shoe opening is also very tight. There is a piece of thick fabric that curls in, towards my achillies tendon, so every time I push off with my toes and my foot plantar flexes, the material scratches my skin and leaves the back of ... MoreThis shoe looks very cool on the picture but when worn, it is very painful. There is a piece of thick fabric that curls in, towards my achillies tendon, so every time I push off with my toes and my foot plantar flexes, the material scratches my skin and leaves the back of my ankle with a cut, unless I wear long calf socks vs ankle socks. As for the cushion, I like all the previous Nimbus models because of the gel in the forefoot and heel. Im not sure if the Nimbus 23 knit has different cushion than the regular Nimbus, but the knit version's cushion is pretty hard. It maybe feels like this because of how much the knit upper pushes down on my foot. To relieve the pressure from the tight knit upper pushing down on my foot, I had to cut slits to form a "tongue" like effect as this shoes does not have a tongue. All in all, I purchesed these shoes because I liked the knit color design and LOVE GEL NIMBUS, but this particular knit design was not thought out and very painful. Im sure anyone who wears this shoe would suffer the same pains of a very tight knit upper (so tight the shoe laces are not neccessary), cuts off foot circulation, squishes feet into the bottom of the shoe, and cuts the back of the ankle with the knit sock liner opening.
You might be wondering what I mean by walking shoes? Yes, I had a motorcycle crash off-road this summer. I managed to fracture my pelvis in 3 spots, break a few ribs and generally did a number on myself. Once I was off crutches to rehabilitate, I started walking.I realized that none of my shoes were up to the task of keeping my feet comfortable over long distances, and I'd come home in pain after a long walk. The strange thing is, I can find shoes for just about any sport imaginable, including pickleball, whatever that is.I can't find a website that lists walking shoes as a viable category. I find it incredibly strange as it's an exercise every single one of us engages in, whether we think of it as exercise or not.I went down a deep rabbit hole, looking for ... MoreYou might be wondering what I mean by walking shoes? I find it incredibly strange as it's an exercise every single one of us engages in, whether we think of it as exercise or not.I went down a deep rabbit hole, looking for something that would cover the distance. I wanted something comfortable and not do any more damage to my body. I had zero luck online, only more questions. Luckily, I walked into a local Atmosphere store, and this lanky young salesman suggested these running shoes. He got it absolutely right in hindsight. However, they didn't have any in stock at the time, so I took a chance on AS and picked them up.I will stop in and thank him the next time I'm in the mall. These shoes are plush, and I've never owned any footwear this comfortable. I may or may not suffer from plantar fasciitis, but it doesn't matter with these shoes. I have no pain after 6-10km of walking. I can't speak to their usefulness in running as I'm not a runner. Still, if you experience any foot pain, I'd highly recommend these shoes. I looked into getting custom insoles etc., but the cost is ridiculous, and the reviews for my local shops are a mixed bag. These shoes are true to size (size 11). They have no issues accommodating my relatively wide feet (I purchased the regular width).I've put a couple of hundred kilometres on them so far, and there doesn't seem to be any discernable wear yet. Let's see if they hold up over time.
Im always sceptical about buying footwear online, especially being a size 15 (UK) as you never get the chance to try before you buy.I saw theese trainers in offer and needed a good pair to train and run a marathon in. So far these trainers are beyond my expectations. I completed two 5K training runs to wear in the trainers and only had a few sore spots however, I quickly realised I didn't lock my laces in causing heel rub. This has quickly been rectified and they are the comfiest, lightweight trainers I have ever worn. The trainers have ample support for my feet and are perfect for my under pronation and neutral pronation would also benefit from these trainers.Whilst running, the trainers are lightweight and are airy to enable quick drying from the sweat. I have no doubts these trainers will get me through training and the marathon itself. The delivery time was spot on and the trainers came within 7 days from date of order. I was provided with a tracking number to enable me to track my order. If you're questioning to buy these trainers, do it, you wont regret it.
