A great addition to the GT 2000 range!
My first ever ASICS shoes were GT2000s so I was very much looking forward to trying the new model! They don't disappoint! I love the fit, they feel really bouncy to run in, and I'm a fan of the colours too! I look forward to many happy miles in these shoes... Show more

Go down a half size
Was disappointed and worried when the gt2000 10s were discontinued as I loved that shoe! Bought the 11s to try them, getting the same size as my 10s and found they were too big and slipping on me, even with a lace lock. Swopped them for a half size smaller and they seem to fit better. Used them on runs up to 13k (but not my long runs yet) and I think they're ok so far.Overall a fee negative are emerging but I'd still buy them as they'rePOSITIVES: seem lighter than 10s (not sure if they are but they feel it.)Seem to have good enough supportComfortable enough ride in themGood cushioning. No major pain running in them - some minor aches and redness on legs/heels that I can't work out if it's the shoes or something else. Once sized down, decent enough fit. ... MoreWas disappointed and worried when the gt2000 10s were discontinued as I loved that shoe! Good wide toe box which I needCons: sizing of the shoe has changed.Feel there's less grip and my foot can slip on the ground a bit in rainy weather or running over manhole covers, I don't feel completely secure running on certain surfaces wearing themSome aches in legs after running in them but this may have been due to other contributing factorsModification has been made to the tongue/lacing which takes a while to get used to and may not suit everyone... GT 2000 11 fairly average
Disappointed. Have had previous models which were good. This shoe have me bliters even after trying them for 3 weeks on and off. Will stick to pursue next time... Show more

Not A Stability Shoe Anymore
Ignore the hype about the foam midsoles and "guardrails". For a second year, Asics has decided to make this model TOO MUSHY and TOO SOFT to be a true stability shoe anymore. Also, no longer is there an external "bridge" piece embedded in the midsole. (Sounds like cost-cutting to me). So, what is a traditional series GT 2000 wearer to do? Look elsewhere, of course! Find a Version 9 somewhere if you can but AVOID the versions 10 and 11.... Show more

Not what they used to be
I bought these ASICS a week ago and have to say that over the years the feel, fit and functionality of these have diminished for me. Older models were more robust, springy underfoot and better fitting. Although I bought exactly the same size as my old 2000-7 these already do not feel wide enough and are restrictive in the fitting. Also they don’t feel as springy underfoot. Great delivery time and simple order process however.... Show more

Really great and stable road running shoe!
I have been running in ASICS GT 2000 the last 5 years, and I love this version even more. It is supportive, stable, bouncy and helps me with my overpronation. I also really enjoy walking in GT-2000 11. In addition, I have a Gore-Tex version of this shoe, for my snowy and rainy winter runs. True to size!... Show more

Stable and comfortable
Nice light weight trainer. Was looking for a stable shoe as over pronate when running. I would have liked a little more cushion but have done a few longer runs in these and good comfort and pace so far... Show more

Supportive and comfortable
Great shoe, comfortable and supportive. Have tried other styles but always come back to these. Other running shoes can be quite tight around my mid foot, but these are perfect. Only wish they came in other colours!... Show more
