I bought these with my son after trying on 10 different pairs of velcro sneakers. This pair finally had a velcro strap long enough to actually stay closed at the ankle, but not by much. I also needed to buy him a size 3Y even though he measures between a size 1-1.5Y. If I hadn't had him with me actually trying these shoes on I would have had to return yet another pair of sneakers.

Our son loves these shoes, they are wonderful for wider feet and have seen extensive use and activity! They usually last around six months for us and given his age and growth we are happy with that. The shoes themselves offer great support and are easy to clean in either washing machine, by hand or with deodoriser spray. I would highly recommend for any child especially one that is constantly on the move.

We bought my 6 year old son this same pair but in white and neon green for this new school year, in the past 3 months, my son loves them so much he wears them to school everyday. They are very comfortable and durable. The velcro makes it so easy for him to put on and off by himself. I just recently got this second pair in green because I think my son would definitely love to have another pair in different color.
Bought these for my son. They’re worn every day. Not only does he love them, they go with everything. He now refuses to go outside without them.They are true to size, a good width and a solid shoe! I will definitely be buying ASICS again!
I really wish there was a “measuring guide” like there used to be. How to measure your kids foot, and finding your size after measuring. The guide they provide now does not accurately give you a size, rather you’re just guessing by your child’s age. My daughter has a narrow foot, so the width isn’t a problem. She does, however, always seems to skip a size, bc she’s growing fast. So, just going by age to find a shoe size doesn’t work for us. These will be going back.
Looks like a great ASICS shoe. Ordered a size up for my 7 yr old and he couldn’t even get his foot in. Length ok- a little small still , but the depth was so shallow that the Velcro and tongue didn’t even come close to closing. So weird. Didn’t expect that off of a fit from ASICS.
My 4 yo son picked these out and has worn them every day for 2 weeks. Love the easy slip on / velcro closure & super sturdy construction. He says "they make me run really fast." I was also surprised when he was easily putting them on the right foot - he said "because of the whale inside" - the image matches up when placed correctly, a bonus!
We ordered online and were very pleased with the product when it arrived. These trainers look great, are great quality & the sizing was accurate. My six year old son says they are very comfortable. We’ve always found ASICS to be durable & comfortable.
Great supportive shoes for my little guy. They fit his orthotics well and have a sturdy heel cup. They are a much better price here than other specialty kids shoe shops.
