The ASICS Superblast is a neutral all-round running shoe that is perfect for your daily run. This shoe is not only ideal for daily runs, but is also excellent for tempo and interval training due to the fast nature of the shoe. Get the most out of every step with this all-round running shoe! Midsole The midsole of this shoe consists of two materials. The top layer consists of FF BLAST TURBO cushioning and not only offers great comfort but also provides a lot of energy return. The energy return with every step you take gives you a trampoline effect, good bounce and you save energy yourself. The bottom layer consists of FF BLAST PLUS foam and provides lightweight shock absorption. Upper Thanks to the jacquard mesh upper with textured yarns, the shoe is highly breathable and allows sweat to escape, keeping your feet cool while running. Because the mesh follows every shape of the foot, it provides comfort and support. With this shoe, the bottom of the heel is reinforced while the top is flexible, soft and comfortable. This will not put pressure on your heel bone. Outsole The shoe has an AHARPLUS outsole. This material has excellent wear resistance. This property was improved by adding rubber materials that are also used in car tires. The outsole is not only three times more durable than a conventional rubber outsole, but also provides excellent traction and grip on both dry and wet surfaces. Get the most out of your run with the ASICS Superblast!

Beautiful Runners

SuperBlast are my first ever pair of ASICS and they are an amazing runner. I am a US11 and they fit true to size perfectly for me. Instant comfort, my first run was super smooth, stable and soft. The return has great bounce for me although I wouldn’t say spring for me, however the combination of soft, nice bounce and smooth transition make this shoe pretty close to perfect. My rotation is Alphafly and Bondi 8. The Superblast has way more stability than the Alpha’s and now my Bondi’s feel like hiking boots. I’ve encouraged anyway who asks to get themselves are pair. Beautiful runners as per the headline.

Just coming up to 50 miles on these and I have to say I am impressed with their do it all versatility. Probably feel best at cruising pace but work at all paces easy to hard stable and comfortable underfoot brilliant shock absorption. My only gripe is the fit isn’t quite perfect for me, it’s by no means uncomfortable, but I do get some minor irritation on my right big toe occasionally/ I feel a half size up would be too big and this could be my foot shape so not necessarily the shoes fault. The other con, and me being picky perhaps although it is light it always feels to me like I have a big shoe on foot and takes me 5 or so minutes to get into a comfortable rhythm running with it. I only point out this minor points as this is a premium priced shoe and for some it ... MoreJust coming up to 50 miles on these and I have to say I am impressed with their do it all versatility. The moment I put these on, I fell in love. Not only are they gorgeous (mineral/beige, seriously the design execution is a 10/10), but the stack height and feel is perfect. I wouldn't hate more stack height, even (I want to be taller haha). It feels slightly tight near the "knuckles" of my toes, but I suspect they will probably loosen up a bit. Adding some more flex to the upper may be a good idea for the next version.Otherwise, DO NOT CHANGE A THING!!! I don't want these to every not be available for purchase.I may buy a second pair just to have a stash in my closet when the first pair is all worn out.

Great shoe but not for beginners
29 November 2023

If you are a beginner don't buy this shoe. The shoes don't make the runner any faster than their attire does. Your training is what makes you fast. As a tool this shoe is excellent and gives a bouncy ride with some cushioning. The cushioning, however, is not like pillows on your feet and far from cloud-like. It's a healthy balance of lightweight and sturdy. This shoe was what I expected and needed from a daily runner (aside from how narrow it actually is). Once again, this shoe is not for beginners. The $200 price is a prohibitive reminder for many runners. If you want to treat yourself then go ahead and buy this shoe. If not, then I recommend going for a cheaper shoe.

Great shoe, with a minor flaw
14 August 2023

Quite a revolutionary shoe: I have tried loads of high cushion maximalist shoes, but the Superblast is a different beast. It really works for a variety of paces, including recovery and tempo and it is super kind on tired legs. None of the other max cushion shoes I tried leave the legs so fresh, they either feel mushy and provide no energy return or unstable at very slow pace, leaving my inside ankle hurting for a few hours after the run, which defeat the original purpose of a recovery run.The midsole in the Superblast is firm enough to make the ride stable and responsive without being harsh. And it achieves this without a plate.I only wished for a better lockdown, especially in the midfoot area. It's not a concern and probably due to my very narrow feet. It's ... MoreQuite a revolutionary shoe: I have tried loads of high cushion maximalist shoes, but the Superblast is a different beast. My shoe of the year
26 September 2023

This is hands down my favorite running shoe of all time. I owned 5 pairs of Nike running shoes and returned some and sold some because of this shoe. It has replaced about 2-3 pairs in my running shoe rotation and literally owned all Asics now. The price is justified due to how versatile it is. I am so shocked how light this shoe felt with such a high stack. I actually consider this a supershoe. From recovery, easy, short and long tempos, 200m-1000m reps and from 10k- marathons, this shoe can do it all. The ride is quite fun and bouncy but not squishy like ZoomX which gave me knee pain and my arches collapsed in long runs as fatigue kicked in. The Superblast keeps its foam integrity in long runs which keeps my foot from collapsing inward. My legs aren't toast the ... MoreThis is hands down my favorite running shoe of all time. This is flat foot friendly because of its wide platform from a neutral shoe. Don't change a thing ASICS, please!

Not as Advertised

I waited months to have this shoe shipped to me. Safe to say I was excited when I finally got them. What an absolute disappointment. This shoe (unless mine was defective) has zero cushion - contrary to the specs shown on the website. My brooks ghost, which are rated as above the standard cushion amount but not the most, offer more comfort. I can honestly say walking in these felt like I was walking on piles of home depot cardboard. When I reached out to customer service to see if perhaps the shoe delivered to me was defective or if they can be returned I was told "wearing the shoe for longer than 2 minutes deems the shoe worn and will not be returned". So if you wear the shoe for 3 minutes you are stuck with it. When I questioned the legality of that statement I was informed that the if the shoe is returned the experts will know I wore them (apparently Asics trains their employees to determine if a shoe has been worn for 2 minutes vs 3). I was then asked if I had any other questions and end of conversation. Terrible overall service. As someone who has purchased Asics in the past I will take this interaction and this terrible shoe into consideration when purchasing my next running shoe.

Uber sports sedan of Asics running shoes
12 June 2023

I have been training with different Asics shoes including the Novablast 3, the Nimbus 25 and the metaspeed Edge+; I find the Superblast to be a magical combination of all of these three shoes. It manages to be extraordinarily comfortable and yet gives the ability to pick up the tempo without feeling squishy or spongy. It is surprisingly light for all that magical material stuffed into it. Very stable, very good looking, very comfortable. Possibly the best all around running shoe from Asics or anyone else. I prefer it to the Metaspeed because it is so much more comfortable. It's like a very capable sports sedan without the disadvantages of being a hyper focused and therefore less than comfortable sports car. A+++

Works for my flat feet
22 July 2023

I previously used the now discontinued DS Trainers for about 21 years before switching to the Novablast 2. They were great but offered little no stability for my ultra-flat feet. Fast forward and the Superblast was released. After watching some shoe vlogger's talk about the shoes, they sounded to be more stable than the Novablast, despite the higher stack. As a pretty severe over pronator, I can say they have worked well for me (currently have 145 miles logged). Speed work, long runs, recovery. Very, very versatile shoe. Not to say this will work for all overpronators but they've worked well for me and are fun to run in. Can't say that about most shoes.

light, stable, and well cushioned

After years of running in Brooks I've switched to Asics. I regularly run in Novablast 3's and alternate into Metaspeed Sky+ and Edge+ when I want a different experience (I'm at ~300 miles across them all so far).I'm just 20 miles into the Superblast and so far I'm really enjoying them. To me they feel quite similar to the Novablast 3, but lighter. I actually need to take both out with me for an upcoming run to switch pairs after a few miles to get a better back to back experience. The only issue I've found is they tend to run a tad large. I've typically always run in men's 9.5 in Brooks, Nike, etc. For Asics in general I feel like they're all .5 size larger. In the Novablast it's not a big deal as the upper is semi thick which takes up some room. In the ... MoreAfter years of running in Brooks I've switched to Asics. I've actually ordered another pair in men's 9 to see if that feels better (especially when using thinner socks).
