Based on the runner silhouette Asics GEL-1130, designers from Kiko Kostadinov Studio have designed this UB4-S GEL-1130, as a homage to the GEL-1000 running series. The silhouette has been updated with interesting materials and new aesthetic measures, seen above in the dark red/yellow colorway ‘Demitasse / Fir Green’. The dark brown, breathable mesh upper covers the yellow Asics tiger stripes, adding a futuristic look. Synthetic, streamlined white and yellow overlays sneak around the heel and while transparent yellow overlays have been added to the upper, adding to an enhanced 00's runner aesthetic. The innovative, impact-absorbing GEL technology in the midsole provides soft comfort, while the visible TRUSSTIC support system of the midsole contributes to the responsive performance. The UB4-S GEL-1130 is completed with a soft collar of dark brown lining and dark red laces in a shiny finish. At least 50% of the upper is made from recycled materials.
