Unfortunately can’t recommend this shoe. ASICS have just gone downhill last few years. Wore Kayanos for 20years then sizing issues made me try the gel nimbus. Had Nimbus 23 and they were ok after I had to get half size up but once worn in I had an issue with the arch support. So I decided to go back to a size 9 for this Nimbus 24. Hoping they had finally stopped mucking round with the toe box. That’s ASICS big problem they narrow it and then peoples show sizes are out. So many people complain on line about sizing and blisters. Soooo, I’ve given up. This Nimbus not only gave me numb toes on both feet, it wasn’t even a particularly stable shoe at all. I was very surprised at that. If you are a person who only buys the same brand then I would really suggest you go in and check your sizing before purchase. I was loyal to Asics for over 20 yrs but sorry they’ve lost me now.

I love the style of these shoes and how light weight they are, the cushion is great everywhere except the ankle where it rubs against the heel. They run a 1/2 size smaller also and if you get into a walk and realize they are too small one step too late, you’re stuck with them. I contacted customer service because after one short walk, my toes were tingling and I knew they were too small, even though they felt great when I tried them on pre walk. In my experience, you can’t be sure a walking shoe will fit right until you walk in it. Customer service basically just said sorry, they can’t be exchanged and now I’m stuck with them. So beware… be absolutely positive they are the right size when you first get them (somehow), or you will have no option to exchange them. I ... 1st off, I have big feet, size 12 womens.A few months ago, I found a pair of the Nimbus 24 on the clearance rack, in kind of a funky color in my opinion. I tried them on and fell in love, it;s like walking on a springy cloud. I decided I didn't care what color they were I was buying them. I have worn them every day since and any signs of plantar fasciitis have disappeared.I can be on my feet all day and it feels great! I've even had a few sincere compliments on my cool shoes( the color). HA!Anyway, I have kind of a narrower foot so the stretchiness of the fabric assist in the shoes fitting like a glove, in a very good way. The regular width fits perfect.The way the shoe is made also provides for a somewhat deeper toe bed , which litterally cradles my feet and ... I have been buying Asics for welll over 10 years, and I can say, with no hesitation, I've never hated an Asics Nimbus out of the box. Until now. Used to put on a pair of Nimbus and walk on air for weeks. Not these. The cushioning-gone. The cushy tongue-gone. The stability gotten from the all around the cushioning - gone. My feet were aching within the hour of just walking around.I despise the new thin tongue. It's rough, even through standard socks and frankly, it makes the entire shoe feel cheap. What were your designers thinking? Now this appears to be the standard - thin rough cheap feeling tongues that probably saves Asics money but does little for the comfort of the shoe.Here's an idea - instead of throwing out a good solid design, offer the old school ... This is one of the rare "clothing" products I can buy online without trying on in the store. Each pair I buy fits perfectly. This is the ONLY brand I can wear comfortably. I hope they never change this shoe. The color combinations are also important to me since these shoes are my full-time, go-to shoe. Sad to say, I'm unable to wear the beautiful sandals and heels other women wear to match their outfits. Instead, I have several different colors in these shoes to coordinate with my outfits. Needless to say, I don't like the wild, crazy, outlandish colors that were once the only ones being sold. Thankfully, Asics has gone back to very nice, stylish colors. I need to use orthotics which slip in and out of these shoes with ease.

The shoe is lighter than any other running shoe I’ve tried. Great colour options. However, I was disappointed overall. I’ve worn a number of iterations of the gel nimbus and after this pair, it’s clear I need to find a new favorite running shoe. There is very little support in the front of the shoe and my foot felt like it was slipping inside the shoe. To get them to feel snug, I laced them a little tighter, but because the tongue on this shoe was very thin, the laces felt like they cut into my feet. Lastly, the sole of the shoe seemed to have a seam down the middle so I felt like the two sides of each foot were uneven.

My wife and I have been wearing Asics Nimbus for almost 2 decades, and Asics keeps making slight changes here and there. This version (#24) is quite a change - I'm not sure we like it yet. The upper construction is more like a sock now (many shoe companies have gone in this design direction), and we found the fit is more snug than before. It's not nearly as soft and padded inside as in previous versions; however, the sock-like fit conforms to the foot more than before, and is comfortable. We needed to wear thicker socks for this new version. Lot's of reflective points for visibility at night. I personally feel the #24 shoe is manufactured more cheaply than the previous versions, but the selling price is still as high. This doesn't mean it's not as good, but it has ... These are the most comfortable trainers with great cushioning over the whole of the sole. I have worn ASICS gel nimbus for many years and as a senior distance runner they keep all the associated aches and pains to a minimum. I particularly love the elastic aged tongue - so good for helping the tendinitis on the dorsum of my left foot. I can get the right balance of tying the laces tight enough but preventing them from aggravating my injury. Such a plus that I’ve bought 2 pairs! My only criticism and reason for 4 not 5 stars is the heel tab height. Sometimes it’s hard to open the shoe enough when you’re in a hurry and one of my shoes has lost the support at the back.
