I'll be actively discouraging people I know from buying Asics shoes, especially directly from the Asics website. Asics has decided they'd rather capitalize on one-time purchases than creating repeat customers and building brand loyalty. Disappointing, and honestly embarassing.... Show more

Nimbus 26 IS BETTER THAN the Nimbus 25!!!

Overall, I am a complete convert to ASICS! 55 yo marathon runner who just ran her 18th marathon at Disney World (Dopey Challenge) in the Nimbus 25 after wearing Hokas for years. ASICS Nimbus are the superior shoe. They are not clunky at all and I feel faster when I run in them. I al also a physician and I wear them for overnight shifts. My feet feel fantastic in this shoes. The Nimbus-26 are an improvement from the Nimbus-25. Same amazing support without the pillowy, slightly bouncy feel of the Nimbus-25. The 26’s are incredibly comfortable and I feel even faster in them without sacrificing the comfort of a more supportive shoe. Did a 15 miler along Boston’s Heartbreak Hills two days ago in the Nimbus-26. PHENOMENAL SHOE! I hope ASICS will over more colors in the ASICS Nimbus Wide 26. I have broad metatarsals but an otherwise slender foot. The Nimbus -26 wide is an improvement from the Nimbus-25 wide. Plenty of room across my metatarsals without looking bullky. In summary I highly recommend the ASICS Nimbus 26 for distance runners and for all healthcare workers who work long shifts. You won’t think about your feet at all! They are truly amazing and a substantial improvement from the 25! Thank you ASICS!!!.... Show more

Not a great update

Ugh. So sad about the changes made to the Nimbus. The 25’s were perfect and I actually ran my first marathon in them just last month. Since I loved them so much, I went ahead and bought the 26’s and they’re… not good. For me at least. I’ve worn them on three runs so far and on all three my pinky toes have gone numb in the first two miles. It’s not a size issue. The length and width are perfect and the same as the 25’s. If anything, the 26’s are a touch bigger in length. But I believe the problem is either the new lacing structure or the firmness in the forefoot or a combination of the two. The new lacing structure puts added pressure onto the top of the foot and no matter how loose I make the laces, I can feel the laces on the top of the foot. I’ve never even given ... MoreUgh. I’ve never even given any thought to the laces on the 25’s. You couldn’t feel them at all. And yes, the 26’s are firmer which isn’t necessarily bad, but there’s some very firm areas in the forefoot that just plain hurt once you’re running. Wish ASICS had a better return policy because I would definitely return them if I could. It’s hard to know if a shoe is going to work until you’ve run in it at least a few times, but then you can’t return them, so it’s frustrating. I’m definitely going to be sticking up on the 25’s and keeping my fingers crossed that next year’s version goes back to the previous lacing system and back to the soft cushion in the forefoot.... Not a Neutral Shoe
9 September 2024
I need a comfortable shoe for working on concrete floors 10 hours a day. Nimbus 26 cushioning felt great on my feet. However, I underpronate, i.e. supinate, so the outer edges of my heels and outer balls of my feet hit first while running or walking. I purchased the Nimbus 26 based upon Asics’ website recommendation for underpronation. I expected my feet to feel neutral in the shoe while standing such that the inner and outer edges of my feet are level. However, while standing in these shoes, the inner part of my feet (the arches) were tipping upward at an angle rather than sitting level. The fact that my arches are tipping upward exacerbates underpronation, rather than provide needed support. OK Walking Shoe
23 October 2024
I originally ordered this sneaker back in May 2024. Within 2 months my big toe on each foot had made a hole in the top of the sneakers. I was very unhappy given I had only worn them for 2 months! I have never had this happen before with either HOKA or NIKE brand sneakers. I complained, sent in a Warranty form and I was able to get credit from ASICS for another pair of these sneakers (for free). While that was OK, I think ASICS needs to improve the material they use on these shoes. I continue to wear the original pair but I had to spend more money and buy shoe armor patches so that the holes in the sneakers would not get bigger. I will put these patches in the new sneakers once I start wearing them. Until ASICS improves their materials, I will not purchase these ... MoreI originally ordered this sneaker back in May 2024. [Rewarded Review] The ‘running forever feeling’ shoe
19 January 2024
The first thing that caught my eye about this shoe was the stunning, summery colour that it came with. I was also very impressed when I held them for the first time, and as bulky as they initially looked, they were super light! To carry on with my initial impressions, I didn’t want to believe that they could be any comfier or softer than the previous model, and to my surprise, they really were. After running around 60km with them, I have found a few major changes to this shoe in comparison to the Gel-Nimbus 25, although overall they’re very similar. As a neutral shoe, aimed for longer jogs, the Nimbus 26 pretty much guarantees max cushioning and comfort for miles on end, whilst keeping the bouncy and comfort. With both shoes having the Pure Gel in the heel area, there’s plenty of comfort and a super enjoyable landing for anyone running with a more heel pronounce technique. The upper mesh and knit tongue are an absolute highlight of this shoe, and I am very glad they kept using this feature; it provides comfort whilst still allowing breathability. The addition of rubber to the outsole seems to be adding durability and grip, with a very minimal weight gain. The most noticeable change is that the bottom of the lace throat loses the “W” shape and is now a “V,” the lacing system gets more built up with wider straps over the arch. I find this extremely helpful as my ankles tend to become unstable after a few hours of running, so this new, simple feature has been welcomed. The most significant changes are the firmer midsole, helping them become considerably more responsive than the Nimbus 25, but also keeping a very similar soft feeling.Apart from those improvements, overall, it’s a very similar shoe from the Gel-Nimbus 25, and if you enjoyed the previous model, you will certainly enjoy this one. It feels good to run in and it’s a much firmer shoe and up there as one of my top pics for longer runs.... Show more

I'm new to running and the Gel Nimbus 26 is my first real performance running shoe and I could not be happier! I didn't know that to expect from a shoe of this caliber and I can say it is completely worth the price I paid for them. As a heavier runner, the cushion provided is perfect for me for training and recovery runs and leaves my feet, knees, and hips with a noticeably less fatigued feeling compared to the other shoes I was running in before these. I love the heel cushioning and the gel construction is perfect for this. The midsole cushion and easy transition from heel to toe motion is excellent, especially as a beginner when my running form is still a work in progress. I could go on and on all day about what an amazing shoe this is and what an impact on my quality of running and even everyday comfort level, and I am going to be recommending this shoe to literally everyone who asks! The fit is true to size and has a narrow appearance, but still has plenty of room in the toe box. The knit upper is breathable, stretchy, and feels great with an almost sock like feel to it. The new outsole has plenty of grip in wet weather, as well as gravel like paths. One of my favorite features is the integrated tongue that stays put, and the heel cup with cushion and great material usage that will not rub or create any friction points. 10/10 would recommend this shoe to literally anyone and everyone! If I could have one pair of shoes for the rest of my life, it would be the Gel Nimbus 26 hands down, and I can't wait to get one in every color!... Show more

Too warm for summer and..
23 May 2024
Obviously some shoes don't work for some people and this shoe definitely did not work for me. I'm a new runner training for a first mara. Was running in ON cloudrunner and knees figured out real quick they were way too firm. I decided on these for extra cushion and first impressions is they were definitely that. Very comfy but also stable. However I did not do my research about the breathability. It's summer here now and even just wearing these casually they are wayyy too warm. Would definitely be a winter shoe for me..however. today I ran a 10k and right before 5k I started to feel a hot spot under my left toes. It continued to build to the point I was wincing and curling my toes to try and stop the stabbing pain.
