With this being the "budget" version of the ASRock offering there are some elements that are not of the bleeding edge. Wifi 5, and the single m.2 slot are core "cutbacks". But these are very easy to cope with and it is a solid quality board, throughout.There was a sole element that has it losing a star, as it wasn't present on ASRock's website or in the docs, or even made known to the PC Case Gear crew via ASRock - was that my use of a APU (5600G) made the PCI-e slot useless for a GPU.Thankfully ASRock were aware of this and could fix, but it did involve them sending a "custom" BIOS, to allow the function. This may be fixed on the support website now, but at the time it wasn't.Even so, this is a solid mITX, at a good price too.

What a great little set-up this is! So very happy with this combo. Built this machine on Win11 and runs a dream. Upgraded from an fx8350 with 16g ram. This is a huge improvement. More efficient and processing power is amazing. Few things to note make sure you are in thr market for an ITX motherboard. Has everything I needed minus a second USB 2.0 bus. Also 5600X doesn't support on-board graphics do you will need a GPU to make this kit work. Very happy

It seems ASRock has a few B550 models with similar bluetooth defects. Initially Bluetooth works. You'll get a message saying "The last usb device you plugged in could not be recognized." Bluetooth won't work anymore.Rebooted, Driver installs, enable, disable in BIOS.Time to RMA. ASRock is not responsive on their support forums compared to ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte.Support recommended a return. Frustrating, luck of the draw. This seems to be a common failure with this part if you google the issue.

motherboard was having issues from a couple of weeks in with random stuttering taking place after running programs. it would continue until the computer was placed in sleep mode and woken up. Also present were issues where OS features and functions icons would regularly go missing, still fundamentally there there but their icons would disappear or have errors. This mobo was an upgrade and every single part of the pc was known to be working ahead of time with none of these issues present. I believed it was a ram issue initially but when i replaced the ram, the system never powered on again. CPU fan spin but no signs of life from the GPU and no display on the screen. I tried clearing the CMOS but that did nothing to help. I bought this motherboard because it was the cheapest of its type. It still manages to fit perfectly with my high-end setup.It comes with Wi-Fi built in, has on m.2 ssd slot, and is pcie 4th gen. Most people will only ever need this board if they are building a mini itx pc. i only use one m.2 ssd while the others are sata. Only downfall maybe is that it doesnt have the usb-c port that a lot of cases use for usb c front io. But it has one on the motherboard at least It may not have the best cooling options or a built in io sheild, and its not as jam packed as some more expensive gamer boards. But it doesn't let down with what it does have. For the bare minimum, its really nice. the Best cheapest board out there.
Has everything you need with a few quirks.Quirks so far: Signal Issues - Replace stock antennas with a gigabyte or asus motherboard antenna for $10-$20 on ebay. Hwinfo64 - Reports underpower delivery when chip is running fine. It's a minor ASRock issue with minePros: B550 so it can run gen3 or gen4 NVMe as primary drive. Has just enough IO. Has everything you need with nothing fancy. Price for ITX you cannot beat!Runs my 3800x that I had lying around just fine and it can do XMP/DOCP with most kits
Well the motherboard looks good set up, the ASROCK POST logo is nice and not as gawdy as other brands logos. the M.2 SSD heatsink is nice and fits well, I paired this motherboard with a inwin b1 case and it actually blew away the person I was building it for on what a moden office PC could be. ASROCK makes OEM boards so they are good quality. this motherboard came with a rebate program and after I filled out the paperwork I realised that I don't qualify anymore because they were so slow with the shipping and I have job so I couln't get to it immediatly and you have only like 1 or 2 days to get that done. the best way to get a rebate on this motherboard if from other venders that offer instant rebates.
I got this motherboard because I was building a PC in an NZXT h200. The motherboard is obviously a great fit, looks nice and has everything I needed and more. It has just enough usb ports, and even has an m.2 slot for my SSD. I use ethernet, but it has wifi+bluetooth built in if that's a need. Also, it has ARGB and RGB headers which I used for my water cooler fans. The PC Looks amazing with this motherboard which was perfect for the build.
So, I have this board and it's great aside from the Bluetooth disappearing every once in a while. After searching for months and even purchasing an external Bluetooth adapter, I found a fix! Simply disconnect everything from the back of your PC and hold the power button down for 30 seconds and boom, fixed.
The Booting from the M.2 slot sold me on this MoBo. I expected the build quality and so on for the price. I installed the PCIe graphics card and had to remove it because something did not connect. When I was in the process of the removal, I could not hit the release bar. I had to use a very small screw driver due to lack of easy access. When I did this, I think the plastic bar cracked. But when I replaced the graphics card, I held with no issues and booted up right away. I continued to update the drivers and Windows. Did some stress testing and called it a night. The next night I started to watch a couple videos and tried a couple of games. Turns out the sound card is not processing voices. Hoping it's a software issue and will be fixed via an update in the near future. However, as mentioned above, if you have a graphics card and are using HDMI, your audio will be processed through your graphics, if you can plus a speaker cord into your monitor. All that and I still give it a 5 star because of the gen 4 M.2 booting. I am using a 3700X chip with a gen 4, 1 tb SSD and it took me less than 10 minutes to install Win 10 and every boot up after has been 8 secs for the ASRock logo to pop up and 4 more to fully boot.
