Am really enjoying the free roaming aspect of game. Keeps you gripped from taking over forts, to hunting wild animals and travelling roof top to roof top to find a treasure or lost collectable. Plus having guards come and chase you is great! This port has alot of flaws however! In docked mode especially, you notice the dialogue sounds of characters is hit and miss at best. The graphics is pretty poor too. For best experience have to play this in hand held mode, which is very disappointing. But a very good game despite this. Hope future assassin's creed ports to switch are better than this one! I feel 3 stars maybe a little harsh. And 4 stars is abit too generous.. Would of said 3 and half but can't do half a star ;-)

The games are obviously very good but in terms of shipping and quality of the games, it was amazing. It shipped almost a week early and the discs are in near perfect condition, there were zero scratches! I bought AC2, AC Brotherhood, AC Revelations, AC3, and AC 4, all of which were in great condition.

If you are looking for a game that suits your need to assassinate people while dual wielding a tomahawk and a dagger, this is your game. Or if you just want to fight in open battle against multiple opponents with a giant Naval Boarding Axe, you can do that as well. This game offers many different aspects, side quests, side missions, and side stories, and it took me almost 2 weeks to beat(I was sick at the time so I no lifed it) (May contain Spoilers) I decided to buy this game for myself for Christmas, I had seen some trailers and other things after I got Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 from someone else as an early Christmas Present. I beat them both before I bought this. 1 was alright, 2 was better, but this one beat them both, in sheer size and gameplay, but not only ... MoreIf you are looking for a game that suits your need to assassinate people while dual wielding a tomahawk and a dagger, this is your game. I beat them both before I bought this. 1 was alright, 2 was better, but this one beat them both, in sheer size and gameplay, but not only that. I greatly enjoyed the Frontier and the hunting aspect of the game, which was not overly difficult. Now however there were some aspects I was not as impressed with, in one of the trailers it shows Connor running the Patriots camp, then running across the battlefield avoiding the Redcoat firing lines, then he busts through their lines, raising morale for the Patriots, who push forward, as he continues to cut through toward a man sitting on a horse. In the end Connor jumps up and shoots him with his bow while in mid air. He finally comes up to the dying man, and it turns out he is a Templar. Anyway, I digress, you cannot actually attack a firing line head on like that, nor are there really any battles like that you can actually participate in, save for one. Except you have to go around the lines, not look like an army killer cutting through the lines. That was one part of the game that bothered me, so if you have watched the same trailer and was amazed by that, I am sorry to say that it wont actually happen. There are many amazing aspects though, the actual combat is pretty amazing, you are able to use a tomahawk and a knife dual wielding to kill an enemy, and you are able to use tools such as a snare to choke an enemy after you block, pressing Y to use a tool, which allows you to perform a finisher with a pistol as well. This game could have been so much better, but it still quite an amazing game, as the storyline is, as it always has been for the AC series, amazing. (Spoiler) You are also able to pilot your own ship to do some Naval missions, which are quite entertaining(Though they are nothing compared to AC4, but that is another review) and worthwhile, but incredibly difficult at times. The Homestead missions were entertaining and showed the softer side of Connor, not the side you see out there killing people. I highly suggest this game and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation in theory is a very impressive game. It’s a handheld title that rivals its console brethren on most levels, namely sound, graphics and content. If you’ve played an Assassin’s Creed game before, this experience is not far different from games in the past and you’ll quickly find yourself running, traversing and assassinating enemies with the familiar tools of the trade. For brief sections, this game is a lot of fun and exactly what an Assassin’s Creed fan would want from a handheld Assassin’s Creed game.Unfortunately, the development team behind Liberation found it necessary to fill the game with Vita-specific gimmicks that aren’t intuitive enough or don’t work as well as they should in concept. These include tilting and turning the system to complete various puzzles, rubbing two fingers across both touch screens similar to ripping open an envelope and holding the camera up to a light source to reveal mission-specific secrets. These moments will quickly sour your experience because they are light on instructions, tricky to master, and often don’t work. With the number of times you’ll have to restart sections or redo certain puzzles, you’ll begin to question whether this shortcoming is an issue with the Vita’s hardware or sloppy tech poorly implemented by Ubisoft.Besides the newly introduced mechanics, Liberation does find itself with the same issues that previous Assassin’s Creed games have had as well. The parkour elements of the game (running, climbing, jumping from rooftop to rooftop) are all there in their same glitchy glory and are just as infuriating and frustrating as their console counterparts. In short, there are multiple 5 to 10 minute sections of Liberation that feel great, are quick and responsive and work just like you would expect them to. Sadly, though, there are even more elongated sections of this game that will make you want to turn your system off and never turn it back on again.
Assassin's Creed III Liberation, for Playstation Vita, is a good game, but has flaws as you play. You run around killing bad guys on your quest of obtaining an object to keep people from knowing a certain truth about the world. You play a female Assassin, Avelon, who pretty much does everything like the other male assassin's like in any other game. The only difference is you have three personas to pick from such as Asssassin, Slave, or Lady. As for the flaws, it can actually affect you game as you play or just be an annoyance as you play. Even after the updates, there are errors in sounds, animation glitches, and I have a random glitch where she will pick up a weapon, dropped by a soilder, and shoot a random [innocent] person without being targeted without want. Even after the updates, there are errors in sounds, animation glitches, and I have a random glitch where she will pick up a weapon, dropped by a soilder, and shoot a random [innocent] person without being targeted without want. The noriety levels are annoying and should be removed. Looting with the circle button is a hassle (which also is the same button to pick up items) which means she loots and constanlty picks up an wanted weapons (which is the same for that unwanted occasional glitch). I also do not like the personas since being in the "Lady" persona is annoying. Walking with the persona causes guys to grab her and is frustrating when you cannot defend when it happens (making you choose to attack raising the noriety level). The last thing that bothers me is that you have 4 different areas to play at. 3 areas are open to be played in, but 2 are full maps. The 3rd one is small and not enjoyable to mess around in. The 4th map is not really playable at all, it's just part of the mission with the main character in Assassin's Creed III. If the developers would update the game and completely rid the game with these errors, then I would say that this game was a good game.
The game itself is great, the usual from the Assassin's Creed collection. But the big disappointment for me was that it's still has bugs. The game has crashed a few times whilst playing, also I jumped into the back of a cart and managed to go into the ground and not being able to get out of the cart. which resulted in me having to fast travel to another location to get going again. I've also got stuck in a wall as well. But it's a cheap enough game and there are hours of entertainment there so I'm marking down for bugs but overall great game
Context is key when looking at this game. It was released in 2012 and references the Mayan Apocalypse that was "supposed" to happen in 2012 (dating its framing story). It was the third game made in the less than a year schedule like Brotherhood and Revelations. It was supposed to finish off the framing story concerning the series' secondary protagonist, Desmond Miles. The game has many missteps, first is the story. This is the first game to take place outside of Europe and the Middle East, and occurs during the Revolutionary War. Unfortunately the game does not take advantage of the setting, there are a few instances of stealth on the battlefield that works extremely well, the mission during the Battle of Bunker Hill which ends in the assassination of British ... MoreContext is key when looking at this game. This is the first game to take place outside of Europe and the Middle East, and occurs during the Revolutionary War. Unfortunately the game does not take advantage of the setting, there are a few instances of stealth on the battlefield that works extremely well, the mission during the Battle of Bunker Hill which ends in the assassination of British General John Pitcairn, being a prime example with both avoiding being killed on the front line and sneaking past the redcoats to finish off their commanding officer. Unfortunately, the story neglects the other parts of the war that would fit within the context of a stealth game, such as the Culper Spy Ring (a group of colonists that were an ealry intelligence gathering group for the Americans during the war, with one member being part of the Assassin Brotherhood).Game play is a bit underwhelming. This is also the first game to drop the mainly urban setting of the prior games, and brings the wilderness of colonial America as part of the game's platforming and setting. The wilderness areas blend together (not surprising, but disappointing none the least). The urban centers in the game such as Boston and New York, do not make up for the blandness of the wilderness, but add to it, in there small size and lack of any kind of distinguishing architecture from each other. The lone bright spot and new addition to the game, is the ship combat. It is fun, fast, responsive, and comes the closest to reaching the scope that the game's setting would leave the player to expect. In the end Assassin's Creed 3 is full of promise but fails to act on it in any capacity, minus the naval combat, and a few bright spots in the campaign. This makes it hard to recommend this game to anyone, even to those who toughed out Revelations.
Assassin's Creed III is a huge and well written game, the graphics are gorgeous and realistic. Dialogue and plotting are quite impressive. There are lots of side missions, mini games, places to explore, hunting challenges and hidden treasures, as well. Such a great game is a must-have and it deserves to be part of anyone's Wii U library! :)
So I always wanted to play this game, I was a hard core fan from the original Diablo on PC, played through many hours of Diablo II in LAN parties and so on... This game is GREAT up until ACT 3, when it becomes repetitive and boring. Scenes of ACT 1 and ACT 2 are VAST compared to ACT 3 and ACT 4. Story line is boring, it all looks like a Baldurs Gate II game. It has only 3 or so story related videos (unlike movie-like story telling in Diablo II), other scenes (most of them) are in-game animations... looking funny. Gameplay is good - for a 5 year old! Everything heals you, you will end up having 200 healing potions, and using only 1 when you are killing the Reaper. Everything heals you, you will end up having 200 healing potions, and using only 1 when you are killing the Reaper. You somehow get the teleport power (not more buying portal scrolls), magical items do not have to be re-charged, you do not have to repair stuff for long, damaged equipment doesn't cause less damage, it's all simplified, and you only need to pick up you controller and go kill demons... without any thinking, strategy, hoarding potions and so on. Stash is BAD! It is account bound, so if you do not know this, your second character will have no space left for it's items. You will never use gray, white and blue items - EVER.
The scenery is stunning. The story line is compelling. The naval combat a total gasser. An outstanding effort overall. The ONLY thing that I felt could have been much better was the inability to save at more convenient places. Having to start missions over and over and over and over again until you finally get it right was, at times, infuriating.
