I bought this rower on a Black Friday deal, it was the best steal of my life, no doubt. My first rower ever, although not the first Assault Fitness product, I had a bike but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I am 57 years old, super overweight and have several medical conditions that affect my metabolism but ever since i bought this rower i have lost 20 pounds in one month, i use it every single day. One does not need to be fit to be able to use it, i can honestly say that it is the best cardio machine that i've ever had, i love everything about, the look, the seat stopper feature, the black color, the seat height, the ultra confortable seat, the monitor neck ability to hide out, you name it. The best cardio machine for seniors out there, second to none .

A joy to use, but when is the app coming to android!

This is a beautiful machine, smooth pull, and the noise is almost non-existent through a closed door (or so I have been told at least). Setup was very intuitive, and shipping was fast. Also feels very solid, and is easily stood on end after workouts. The locking seat is a nice feature as well. With the bluetooth connectivity however, an android version of the app would be nice to log workouts. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Awesome and easy to use. Very affordable and flexible payment plans. Rower is durable and easy to set up, love the materials. Workouts are great and user friendly. The rower looks tough and warranty is great, I might not need it but is good to have. My next purchase will be the bike. Assault fitness products are the real deal in the fitness world. I’m a happy customer!!

Awesome device!

This rower has been a great alternative to the concept2. My only complaint is that the lcd screen does not have a backlight. Sometimes I workout in a darker environment making it difficult to see. But the machine itself is Amazon and I love the lockout feature of the seat for a different training setup. Very happy with my purchase

Good quality but you’d probably be better off with C2

I got this used, so the warranty doesn’t carryover to me. It had a really bad rumble/imbalance in the fan when I go above 28 spm. AF was good at trying to help me diagnose the issue but I knew the issue was an improperly balanced fan. I fixed it by adding weights to the fan blade. A lot of weights. For same price new, I’d get a C2. Used, I’d still choose C2. Good resale value. Fan hopper for varying fitness levels for instance doing an Apple fitness class and following the trainer, I would be able to keep up but at the same “resistance” my wife wouldn’t be able to and I feel the C2 would be better for that reason. Horrible backlight, I can’t see it unless it’s under perfect lighting condition. C2 computer is better and easier to use, more functionality. I am Very Pleased with this Rower. I've used Concept 2 since 2010. I've Also used Hydro Rowers (which I just don't like)The Assault Pro ranks right up there with the Concept 2. It's Solid Well Built and a Serious Workout Indeed.I Absolutely Love Mine.Great Work Assault Fitness.Oh Yes I'm testing the EXR Rower App with and so far It's Great.

Great quality rower

Solid rower. Need to get used to not having a damper, otherwise quality seems equal to, or even exceeds C2 rower.Other review stated fan is noisy, that's not my experience. It's about same noise level as fan on C2 rower.Maybe C2 monitor is slightly easier to read, and C2 rowing community has active forum. However, I use rower for mixed workouts and monitor has everything I need (meters, calories, time, split time, rowing cadence).

Solid

I'm very familiar with c2 rowers. I've been doing Crossfit for about 7 years on one of those. This is very comparable. This rower feels more solid. Like this thing is beefy. It sits a little higher than the regular C2. I was used to rowing between 6 & 7 on C2 damper and this one feels a little more difficult to accumulate cals and meters than the c2, but pretty comparable. Hopefully that means the open will feel easy this year. The monitor is pretty good. It will take some getting used to and it doesn't do the rollover cals/meters near as much as a c2. Anyways, you will not find a rower of this quality (especially new) for under $700. What a deal! Maybe someday I can get the assault runner!

Was skeptical but am impressed

I was worried about the difference between the concept 2 and the air rower, but because of a sale I figured we would try it out. This has been fantastic for our home gym and it’s built very well. We love it and anyone who’s arguing with their conscious about but it’s not a concept 2, I was there and my wife and I are more than happy with our Assault Rower, half the price and 2x the quality. It sits higher which some may not like but all in all, for the you are getting a quality machine for the price you’re paying. Nice job Assault Firness, thanks for bringing the community a good alternative at an affordable price.

Worth the wait? Think so.

Ordered during Black Friday sales at a great price, but took an excessively long time (6 weeks) to be delivered. Once arrived, the monitor screen was damaged during shipping. However, customer service was great in getting a replacement console to me in about a week. It's been about a month using it and so far everything has been great. My only recommendation thus far would be to have a backlight on the console.
