The first thing I want to say about the ASTRO A10 Gaming Headset Gen 2 Wired Headset is how lightweight it is despite its size – and comfortable to wear. Due to an injury several years ago I have to be careful with both weight and tightness of anything on my head but even that wasn't a problem while wearing this headset. I wore it for 3 or 4 hours straight and after awhile I hardly even noticed I was wearing it anymore. The ear pieces fit my ears perfectly and were so well padded that between them and the also well padded adjustable headband I was totally impressed. I will note that both headband and ear cushions are replaceable but I haven't needed to do so yet. The flip-up mic is so weird but it works great! Flip-to-mute or drop it down and bend it to fit your needs easy as pie. The in-line volume control is handy and has a decent range of sound. The contents of the box include the headphones with attached mic, a detachable 3.5 double ended cable with in-line volume control, a 65mm PC splitter cable, and a sheet of safety/compliance/warranty information in English/French/Spanish/Portuguese. Note that this headset is wired ONLY and NOT bluetooth compatible. I am by no means a gaming expert and actually wanted the ASTRO A10 Gaming Headset Gen 2 Wired Headset because of the wide compatibility range including; PC/Mac, PS4/PS5, Xbox series XIS, Switch, and mobile phone. I've mostly used this headset with a Windows 7 and a Windows 10 laptop and my Samsung S10E smartphone and it has worked very well with all of it. Sound is a trifle low for phone calls but the other end heard me just fine through the mic. However, the sound for phone apps like Pandora, Youtube, and games is clear and quite good. There are things that I've liked better about both Gens of the ASTRO A10 Gaming Headset Wired Headset but I can say that this Gen 2 set is probably the one that I'll use the most due to its lightweight and comfortable wear for hours at a time. Whether you are a gamer or just a fan of headphones the ASTRO A10 Gaming Headset Gen 2 Wired Headset is the affordable set to check out...

The ear cushions and headband pad are replaceable if they ever wear out. - The A10 is very comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions. They are so lightweight that I barely notice them, and there is almost no pressure on my head from the headband or earcups. - The microphone is attached to the left earcup and is very easy to flip up or down as needed. The microphone mutes itself as soon as you flip it up. Microphone quality is pretty good and doesn't seem to pick up any background noise. It's perfect for chatting in games, Discord, Twitch, etc. - The cord is roughly 6 feet long and has an integrated volume dial that rests near your shoulder. Be sure to double-check which end of the cable you plug into the headset and which end you plug into your controller/console. One of the connectors is slightly longer than the other -- the longer one goes into the headset on the left earcup. - Audio quality is very good, with strong low-frequency performance and very crisp vocals and mids. I enabled Dolby Atmos using the Dolby Access app on my PC and the surround effect in games is very convincing. CONS: - The openings on the earcups are pretty small, you if you have large ears, the Astro A10 might not be the best choice. - The headband slides up and down so you can adjust the fit and amount of pressure on your head, but there aren't many levels of adjustment. - The microphone cannot be removed. Not a big deal, but if you're like me and have no use for the microphone, you'll just have to leave it flipped in the "up" position. OVERALL: There's not much to complain about with the Astro A10. It is an excellent gaming headset for its price with strong audio performance and superior comfort. These will absolutely suit the needs of most casual gamers. Those who want integrated RGB or other flashy features should obviously look elsewhere. But I fully expect the A10 to last a very long time and handle most of my gaming needs.

Upon removing the headset from the box you can see it's built well. It's very flexible and light with a 3.5" jack to plug into your controller (I run ps5). The memory foam in the headset and around the ears feels like it's well made and comfortable. The earcups are removable but I'm not sure they offer replacements (more on that later). The earpieces rotate up and down but don't swivel around although I don't see that as such a big deal since with the weight of these they rest nicely on you head. I am happy to see the pads are removable as the size of the ear holes is pretty small. I'm a grown man with regular sized ears and they do not fit all the way inside the hole. They rest on top of my ears. Not super uncomfortable but I'm used to headsets that swallow my ears. Thats really my only negative of the headset. It's not a huge deal breaker and I never experienced any fatigue from wearing these. Maybe they will create newer, larger pads. The volume control rests on the cable, not on the headset but works well where it is. The sound you get from these is decent, not earth shattering and not bottom of the line. I feel that the bass is well balanced and I got good sensitivity when playing COD. The depth might be where these are lacking compared to more high dollar headsets. You won't be able to grab sound from far off in the landscape, but when sound is closer they do fine. All in all, for the cost these are a good buy. You won't have to worry about babying them and taking it easy on them since they're relatively affordable yet really flexible and twist and turn easily while bouncing back in to shape. Astro offers these in 5 colors so there's something for everyone. With only a few negatives (ear cup size and sound depth) I recommend these for those just starting out gaming or trying to save a few bucks yet take advantage of a mid tier quality headset. If you're a big time gamer that spends hours and hours on honing in your FPS skills, these likely aren't going to provide the quality you want.

Here comes the boom! Awesome bass Great comfort!
4 May 2022

Right out of the box these look awesome, great styling and look! Comes with a long 3.5 cable with volume controls so you don't have to fumble with the ear muffs trying to find buttons to adjust while you're gaming like on other headsets I've owned. They're easily adjustable even for the bigger head people like myself haha. These rest pressed against your ears, they do not cup your ear like some so not considered "over the ear". The cushion is covered in a soft fabric which was comfortable with a thick foam underneath. Which to me is another plus, I've had other headsets that had a pleather material covering the muffs and over time they deteriorate and peel little pieces of black stuff all over the place. Another difference and plus with these is the fact that you can detach them foam ear muff and the padded band that goes across the top of your head as well in case you wanted to clean them or need to replace them if they get damaged or dirty. There's a boom mic that flips down while you're gaming and picks up great without sounding like your heavy breathing on the mic and does a good job with limiting background noise as well. One of the cooler features is that if you need to mute the mic all you have to do is flip the boom back up for privacy. Battery life is excellent I play for a few hours at a time and never had a problem with them dying in a game session. Great for first person shooters! All in all I'd recommend these to others

I Was Constantly Surprised By The Quality
4 May 2022

BUILD QUALITY/AESTHETICS/COMFORT: It has an over-the-ear design with soft memory foam earpads with a breathable material. The squish to firmness ratio is good making them extremely comfortable IF they fit. Which is one of the biggest cons. As these house 32 mm drivers (compared to the usual 40 - 50 mm) making the earcups kid. I found they just barely fit medium sized ears, may fit large ears with rubbing, and will become an on-ear headset for those with extra-large ears. (Actual numbers for this headset are 1.5 inch width w/ 1.75 inch height compared to at least 1.5 inch width w/ 2 inch height or more on the other headsets I own) Clamping force is just right by being snug-loose. (Actual numbers for this headset are 1.5 inch width w/ 1.75 inch height compared to at least 1.5 inch width w/ 2 inch height or more on the other headsets I own) Clamping force is just right by being snug-loose. Due to the ear cup material and closed back design they can get warm after prolonged usage for you ear sweaters out there. The headband pad is made from the same material as the earcups with a large surface area making it so I didn’t experience any discomfort or pain on the top of my head. Both the earpad cushions and headband pad can be replaced when they wear down. The headband is adjustable with movement being smooth throughout. There are notches on the side for those perfectionists out there. They go from baby sized (seriously it’s tiny) to large but not extra-large having about an inch difference between both extremes. These things are also incredibly durable where you can twist the headband all over the place and be just fine. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat your products poorly. The weight is on the lighter side of average at 246 grams. The removeable cable is excellent. As it is the right length at 2 meters, the rubber is soft and feels high quality, and it is extremely malleable. The inline volume control wheel doesn’t wobble, is moderately stiff to ensure it stays in place and is very smooth with a defined maximum and minimum. But there is no MUTE button on it like some of their headsets as that is done by flipping the microphone up. More on that later. SOUND QUALITY: Sound quality is very subjective. These come with 32 mm neodymium drivers and for the PRICE these are fantastic, and I strongly believe that most will enjoy them. I break sound into four tiers Single Player Gaming, Multiplayer Gaming, Media, and Music. This headset does a great job at Single Player Gaming, Media, and Music and a good/solid job at Multiplayer gaming. I found it to be relatively balanced but with a fun tuning meaning everything is relatively the same volume but instead of being flat it has some color to it. Making it so highs come across a clear without being sharp, mids are full, and bass booms while being slightly bloated without being overbearing. Sound stage is small. Imaging is good where I can easily tell different parts of sound apart. Directional audio is adequate. Where I can tell general locations but not exact location. But it seems like there is a limiter/compressor on it where the very tops and very bottoms of everything seem to be cut off preventing me from fully experiencing the sound to the fullest. I also found that the volume in my left earcup is ever so slightly louder than my right despite the cables being fully plugged in. Which can affect directional audio accuracy and maybe even limit the top and bottom end. This also means that Astro’s QA continues to be poor. As at this point, I’ve tried three headsets from them and all three of them have had some type of defect. Which is disappointing. For media/single player gaming I really enjoyed it as I was able to get lost in the world. They are closed back over open back meaning that you can’t hear much sound in the room you’re in while also limiting overall soundstage. This allows you to really hyper focus on what you are watching as the real-world kind of disappears around you, which is what I prefer. You can easily hear people talk and the nuances/emotion in their speech. Along with picking apart different sounds going on at the same time in the background of movies/games. While having nice bass and treble response for reloads, explosions, gunshots, cars, etc… What makes it not as good for multiplayer gaming is that footsteps are hard to hear. Directional quality just lets me know general location. So, I know someone is coming from my right, but not how far, close, or exact location. With the soundstage being small I can only hear things going on relatively close to me. I do think that with my left earcup being louder than my right that this will affect overall locational accuracy and could be better if that were equal in both. I am unsure if this is a defect or not. But all the parts that make it good for media and single player gaming still holds giving you an advantage over others. MICROPHONE QUALITY: It comes with a 6 mm non-removeable uni-directional microphone that supports flip to mute. I find that the microphone is very flexible making it easy to get in the ideal position. While also being very smooth and having a dedicated click that you can feel once you go past the threshold to mute it. When this happens, you don’t really hear anything but your teammates/stream will be able to hear it. But it’s very mild and not something you’d need to worry about. Microphones are also Astro’s kryptonite as the flip to mute tends to break and their microphones like to go MIA by not being registered as being there even though you can clearly see it is still attached to the headset. I think most of this comes down to user error. As I had to bring up Realtek Audio Console and make sure it was being seen as a headset despite it being plugged in for it to actually play sound through the headset and register the mic as being plugged in. As for the sound? I think it sounds great. Seriously I was genuinely surprised yet again at the quality. I found that my voice was very accurate with good lows, mids, and highs (good overall body) and I was very clear. It was also able to get plenty loud. CONCLUSION: This is a very easy recommendation. It does everything above average and I was constantly surprised at how good it was. Due to that I’m giving it 5 stars. However, it does have some glaring negatives such as the small earcups, small headband adjustment, and continued QA issues. You’ll also want to make sure the 3.5 mm cord is plugged completely into the headset as there were several times that I thought it was fully plugged in when it wasn’t. It got to the point I would physically look when I plugged in it to make sure it was flush. But other than that I really can't think of any negatives.

Incredible sound quality! Blown away !

We are a gaming family, my 12 year old, in particular, is a massive Minecraft fan and to save me listening to him blowing up creepers and chatting to his online friends a headset is essential! There are so many gaming headsets to choose from online, we needed a set that would cancel out background sounds, have excellent sound quality, be comfortable, durable as my children use it and stop sounds escaping. The Astro A10 from Logitech will change your gaming experience, its a fantastic gaming headset and myself and my children happily give it 10/10. The band is padded so it’s super comfortable as are the ear cushions which can be replaced if they get worn out. Ours are perfect, incredibly durable and are easily adjusted to change the band size from adult to children’s. We use ours in both the PS4 and PS5, quick to install, I love how versatile they are as they can be used across other gaming consoles so you don’t need to purchase a different set so amazing value for your money and in my opinion they far outweigh similar headsets which are considerably more expensive. For a gaming headset that delivers all that they promise you can’t beat the Astro A10!

Nice value and gets the job done

If you’re looking for an affordable option in an easy plug and play gaming headset then the Astro Gaming A10 Gen 2 Wired headset is one to consider. They provide a good value for those that want key features for a reasonable price. Consider these pros that the A10 headset has to offer. A big plus is that the headset is lightweight which makes them great for prolonged use. The materials are mainly plastic, but have a sturdy feel and are designed to last with replaceable ear cushions and headband pad. I found the head cushions to be comfortable over an extended period of use. The mic can be easily muted by flipping it up and down again for game communications. Clarity of the sound was pretty good as this headset features custom-tuned 32mm dynamic drivers. The removable headphone cable provides in-inline volume control for uninterrupted game play. The biggest negative for users in our family is that our head sizes tend to run bigger so I’d say if you have a larger head size you may find these to be a bit undersized. This Astro Gaming A10 Gen 2 headset may not come with all of the bells and whistles of some of the pricier gaming headsets out there, but this will provide a nice option for those beginner or casual gamers who are looking for a decent option at a reasonable price.

Not a bad entry/mid-level headset!

If you have tried the Astro Gaming A10 wired headset before, get ready for a new design with the Gen 2 model. Even though I've only seen pictures of the Gen 1 version, I do like the newer design, with how it has now been set up with the connection of the headband to the earphones. I don't have the biggest head around, but I did end up needing to extend both sides fully to get a more comfortable fit. The only issues with the design is with the size of the ear cushions. For me, even though I don't have really big ears, they are just barely big enough to fit around my ears. The padding and the fabric covers are soft, but after 30-45 minutes of wearing them the first time, I started to feel some discomfort. The padding and the fabric covers are soft, but after 30-45 minutes of wearing them the first time, I started to feel some discomfort. After a little readjusting, it did start feeling better and was able to continue for quite a while longer. One nice thing about the ear cushions is that they are removeable, and can be replaced. It would be nice if they were to come up with a larger set that can used to replace. The headband is comfortable. That, coupled with being fairly lightweight, the top of my head didn't mind wearing them longer (I actually like it somewhat better that a cousin brand Logitech headset we also have). At first, I had a little bit of an issue with getting the sound or mic working when connecting to my PC (using the included splitter cable). After re-seating the detachable cord a few times in the base of the headset and moving it just right, everything finally started working. While not the top of the line, the sound quality is pretty good, especially after adjusting some audio settings. From gameplay to listening to music, the output was pleasant enough, with just enough bass. The flip to mute works well and the mic itself is a little flexible if needing to bend it closer to the mouth. The volume control is a part of the cord, instead of be built into the headset. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, and can sometimes be quicker to access than reaching up to a control on the headset. If you are looking for a good headset on an budget, this may be the one for you.

Not bad, but also not wireless

So these headphones are exactly the same and the Astro headset geared towards Playstation. This ASTRO A10 Gaming Headset comes with the 32 mm driver connectors to plug into your devices. Same as any old headphone jack or mic port you could find on old PCs or phones. Once you figure out which end plugs into which device you can get the microphone working properly, (don't worry, it also comes with directions once you get frustrated as to why you can't hear anything, ask me how I know), and it has to be pushed in fully in order to get any response through the mic. It may look like it is completely engaged but you really have to make sure the end going into the headphone port is secured all the way, that was my mistake. It may look like it is completely engaged but you really have to make sure the end going into the headphone port is secured all the way, that was my mistake. The over the ear style is nice because I dont like to have earbuds shoved into my ears the entire time as it can get uncomfortable and I have tiny ears, but although these adjust I still experience some mild discomfort from the top head band where it rests on top of your head. I have to adjust it around every 30 minutes or so in order to avoid a sore head. The padding is decent but maybe the weight of the entire thing just hurts after awhile. One thing I really enjoy with this headphone set is the flip-to-mute microphone option. Instead of having to reach for a switch on the cord to turn it off you can just flip your mic all the way up until it clicks off. Useful for when you don't want to use the mic anyway, just push it out of the way and it'll stay off. Overall the quality of this headset is decent, not like a 200$ headset but I'm not a picky individual that has that kind of money to spend on a pair of headphones so these do exactly what I need. A good gift for anyone or for yourself, and I appreciate they do have a 32mm port so I can plug into my computer or controller (or phone if it still has a headphone port).

Need some quality gaming headphones that are comfortable and affordable at the same time... this is it. I have a couple wireless headphones that I use for gaming but they are never 100 percent reliable. So I opted for these wired Astro A10 headphones from logitech being that logitech is a reputable company for pc peripherals. I needed something that wouldn't break the bank but be comfortable and durable at the same time and figured I couldn't go wrong with these. So far I am very pleased. The headset came packaged very well which gave me the impression that the build of the headset would be just as formidable, and yes it is. The headset came packaged very well which gave me the impression that the build of the headset would be just as formidable, and yes it is. This headset is extremely well built for having an attached rotary/flip mic. Both the head band and mic have a very durable elasticity to them that allow free movement and comprising angles without getting damaged. The mic can form to pretty much any angle to get the perfect reception when speaking into it. The nice part about this mic is the quick privacy/mute setting with just a flip up. It has smooth motion when flipped up and does not produce any feedback when placed in the mute position. Perfect if using on meetings or work from home environments. I use it with Discord and other video platforms and it works well even then and allows your audience know that you are not engaged with them when the mic is up. The ear pads and headband are very comfortable and I can wear this headset for an extended period of time without any fatigue or anxiety. They do get a bit warm because of the thick cushioning but overall very comfortable. The sound is great. It almost feels like noise cancelling headphones but it blocks just enough ambient noise to get the full spectrum of sound from your games in a surround sound effect. The cable is a little shorter than I would like but the in line volume control is a plus. The wire connections to the ear pads have a retro look to them but are well protected and out of the way from damage. The ear pads are also easily adjustable with a smooth slide adjustment for comfort. Overall this is a great gaming headset that produces a full spectrum of sound that is very durable with exceptional comfort at a very affordable price for the budget minded consumer.
