Astro A50 x Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset + Base Station - White

Firstly "for Playstation 5" has a huge asterisk next to it. Secondly there appears to be zero quality control in Astro's refurb department. The first set I bought had 2 left ear cups. It's been over a week and Astro has decided they don't need to answer my emails so that's cool I guess. Ended up having to go into Best Buy to get them to initiate an exchange and ship another to me (since they aren't sold in most stores) got the new ones yesterday and good news! a right and left earcup! What a miracle.Unfortunately they won't turn on. After some searching I found out this is apparently a common problem even for brand new A50s. So it looks like I got some junkers that someone returned because they wouldn't turn on and Astro "refurbed" them...to also not turn on.

My first impression of the Astro A50 Wireless Headphones with Base Station ,when it arrived in the mail was the packaging. It came in two boxes with beautiful designs to give you a sense of something awesome. On the box it displayed all the features and diagram of where they were on the headset, inside the package as it was opened everything was well placed and with simple instructions inside.First step was the connection which was simple for my Xbox One X, as the headset comes with its own dock for charging and connection, cords are decently long but I placed it next to my Xbox One X. The headset has memory foam earpieces and top of head bar is also memory foam. The Astro A50 Wireless Headphones also have 360 degree adjustment with height and rotation is suitable for anyone including children. The microphone in the headset is also a great feature as when you're not wanting to talk you fold it up and it will turn off, and fold down it will turn on, it is placed a good distance from the mouth and it was a clear speech response for me and my friends.Finally, the playing time with the Astro A50 Wireless Headphones was a great experience as I could not hear anything but the games and my friends, with the noise cancelling feature and the crisp sound of the headset speakers, sounds as if you're in the game.

I love and dislike this headset at the same time.Pros:-The sound is amazing-Very comfortable and breathable-Long battery life, have never had them die.-Again the sound quality is just so good.Cons:-Very expensive and not worth the price-Not the best build quality, there is a foam piece connected to some plastic at the top of the head. The plastic piece is glued onto the rest of the headset and this glue has already separated. Have not dropped the headset at all and been very gentle with it. Now sometimes the plastic with the foam falls out when I am wearing them. Should not happen for this expensive of a headset.-You have to pay for adobe software for surround sound. I get it but like come on. Having a monthly subscription for surround sound is annoying.-The base station for charging is so touchy to actually set the headphones in correctly. Each time i set them in it it takes me around 30 seconds of wiggling it so it actually charges.Overall I would have expected much better for paying this amount.
