Asus AMD ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming Wifi Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard

To be clear, the mobo is perfect for what I needed and technically works perfectly fine. However, any amount of research will show you that loading times on the AM5 platform seems to be an issue currently. The delay in a bios to rectify this by ASUS is the reason for the 4* review.

I have paired this motherboard with a 7600X and I love its performance and features so far. The motherboard layout is good with everything on the sides, its got a separate chassis fan, cpu fan and aio pump headers. The ssd heatsink is not too high and so i was able to build it with a noctua l12s without it touching the cooler. The audio jacks have little colured leds in them so its easier to plug stuff into, no more using a flashlight to see the colour of the jacks!This is my first board with bluetooth and wifi and these work really well, the wifi connection speed is excellent at 800+ mbps. The bluetooth also works nicely. The only thing I found confusing in the Bios is that there is an easy and advanced CPU tuning option and I am not sure how they differ. But when you do tune it, it does seem to work, I have a limitation due to my cooler, but I can get my CPU upto 5.4ghz and when stressed out, it comes down to 4.8 ghz at 95 degrees.My only complaint is that the system takes 2-3 seconds to power up and start booting. But since this is my first board in a while, I dont know if this is normal behavior.I am hoping the board is durable and lasts long.

Runs perfectly well with my Ryzen 5 7600x and rog strix loki 750w. Fantastic service as always. Need to change GPU next

Very pricy but has all the features you could ask for on an itx platform. I do get very slight coil whine by the chipset area, that's only noticeable when there's no background noise.

Good product and have no issues so far. If you install your first Windows 11 then you need to somehow install LAN and WIFI drivers to allow for Windows 11 to get installed (a bit frustrating but worth googling to resolve it).I've underclocked my ITX build which means temperatures and power went down, but still getting the same performance.I was looking at Asrock and MSI ITX motherboards but picked Asus as slightly cheaper than Asrock and probably a brand sentiment plat apart.

A great ITX mobo for AM5

With AM5 and ITX builds being the latest craze and new platform, the ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I has good value for the quality the board has, many features squished in to the ITX board. As long as you update your BIOS, (some issues with the voltages with the RAM have cropped up recently), this MOBO will have no issues.

The board is quite high quality and the manufacturer provides a good guarantee. In reality, the board is very small and fits universally. But no one limits you in assembling a full-fledged PC on this board.

Great AM5 ITX Motherboard

Decided to upgrade to AM5 and downsize to ITX at the same time. This is the best motherboard for my needs and has all the features I wanted.The audio is okay for such a small mobo and will tie me over until I get a USB DAC.Aesthetically very pleasing and I prefer the black colourway of this motherboard to that of many others with garish colour.Some niggling problems like Expo profiles but hopefully that will be sorted with updates in the future.

Great board, but better without Armoury Crate

Great board, just remember to disable Asus Armoury Crate in the bios otherwise it will try and install it as soon as windows is installed. If only Asus’s software was as good as their hardware!

One of the easiest builds yet

Arrived on Wednesday, so decided to build my new ITX PC on Thursday, was up and running within an hour, simple and straight forward.Being building PC's for over 20 years now, wish they had all gone as easy as this. thanks ASUS for yet another great product
