This GPU throttles constantly. Will not work as specified in my new system no other bottle necks cpu, ram heat etc just runs at 15 - 20 percent of capacity giving me 14 FPS in game. Have tried everything reinstalled all drivers checked hardware installation. Everything else is brand new. I am not the only one with this problem. Buyer beware!

Driver problem proving difficult to overcome. Finding lots of similar stories online, with this card only working in Windows safe mode. Proving had to troubleshoot, and long asus response times making any progress slow. Doesn't seem to play well with other drivers, even with latest installed. Currently preparing to return.

I don't know if I got a dud or what's going on but I'm both happy and unhappy with this graphics card. To start things off I had to do a lot of driver installing, uninstalling, then installing again before it performed even slightly moderately. Not quite as plug and play and my previous GPUs. Once I got it working, it definitely updated my graphics but I'm not running max or ultra settings on any game. I do have a Ryzen 7 2700, which is not the newest and latest, but I'm also playing some games that are 10 years old, and even those I can't maxed out. Games like Elden Ring for instance looks extremely beautiful, this card does a great job rendering all the graphics, but I find myself lagging on regular basis while in the open world. Particularly when there's a lot of movement such as raining and wind. In Guild Wars 2 I had to limit a lot of of the character models before the game started to function smoothly. In all, my lower ratting is not so much for the results of this GPU by it self but in comparison to the 8 year old gpu I had before. My previous GPU ran smoothly so long long as everything was pretty much on medium settings, meanwhile this GPU is only running smoothly in a mix of medium/high settings. So basically I didn't even get a full step up, let alone 2 steps up to reach ultra settings. I'm sure if you have a newer processor you will likely get better results, but I personally still have to do a lot of twinkling to get to reach it's full potential.

I see the old reviews are gone now; mine included. I got this for my B-day when it was new 2 years ago.My system is a Ryzen 5 5600X with 16 gig. DDR4 and of course the RX6600.Older games like Dying Light and Fallout4 you can play at 1080p on highest graphic settings ! On the newest games you may have to use High-medium but they still look great. With 8 gig. video ram it can handle current games. And yes it can play VR games but I don't have a set up.The card can do ray tracing a bit. I think of it as "an introduction to ray tracing", this card is not for that. And under $400 I thinks it's a powerful card you can use for a couple more years easy.
I think this is the only factory overclocked RX 6600 which is great. Quite fan and good operating temperature. No rgb which is fine because i dont like rgb. It should be better if you keep the metal backplate design like the V1 and V2. Hoping that it is easy to contact warranty support if I encountered problems. But all in all everything is good. Thank you ASUS.
I am very impressed at how substantial of an upgrade this was from my RX590 (which was high end at the time). I went from 34fps in Cyberpunk on Ultra Preset to 70fps in the new benchmark. Playing ESO I went from 70-80fps in Solitude all the way up to 165+ which is the max my monitor can support with Freesync. And in Star Citizen I was finally able to break the 60fps barrier on medium settings in Microtech. This card is also incredibly quiet, it goes well with my liquid cooler. The only downside is Ray Tracing performance isn't up to par, that amazing 70fps on max settings in Cyberpunk got crushed down to 23fps with RT on. On a side note It had way too much plastic wrap all over every surface and a lot of it was stuck in all the screws and corners which took a lot of ... MoreI am very impressed at how substantial of an upgrade this was from my RX590 (which was high end at the time). On a side note It had way too much plastic wrap all over every surface and a lot of it was stuck in all the screws and corners which took a lot of extra picking at to get it off. (not the satisfying quick peel like the film over a new phone) This was also the first video card I've ever gotten that didn't include any cables or adapters so you'll need to buy those if you need them.
I needed to upgrade the previous passive Radeon I had in a Linux machine, for purely desktop usage with a 4K monitor at high refresh rate. I was concerned about a) noise, and b) power/temperature.To my surprise:* this worked in Linux with zero problems, just ensure you have the right drivers enabled (kernel and X)* the power consumption is really low - with just 2D, it shows 4-5W most of the time* the low power usage allows the card to work in purely passive mode - the fans turn off completely, and this while the temperaturs are 40-42°C, which is way lower than my previous "passive" Radeon (much older one, though)All in all, this is perfect video card for desktop use. I'm sure it would work even for light 3d, but I don't need that.
Terrible experience with this card, fails to power up 80% of the time. Replaced drivers, updated bios, just seems like it's not signaling through the DP port to the monitor and only displays a black screen. Confirmed other users having same experience for some time and no info on fix. Support was contacted and advise was to reinstall the drivers clean. Works for a couple days and right back to black screen. Returned card and replaced it with a competitor's and 0 problems. Even tried a different power connection and rail.
