There are very few 27 5k options right now, and the main big-brand alternatives are more than twice as expensive. This monitor is better than those despite the price. This monitor looks fantastic -- the main thing you care about when buying a monitor! -- and trades some pointless features like speakers and a webcam for multiple inputs and KVM.The only complaint I have is that switching inputs is a lot slower than other monitors I've used, which while annoying is hardly a big deal. I definitely wholeheartedly recommend this monitor.

Monitor's crisp 5k resolution is nice. No complaints. Only thing that was a con for me was the dynamic dimming but this can easily be turned off through the monitor's settings. Once this is done, the color becomes a lot more uniform across the monitor.

I bought this monitor to use with my Mac Mini M4. I was coming from an iMac with a 5K display and wanted to stay with 5K but didn’t want to spend the money for an Apple Studio Display. This ASUS 5K monitor had similar specs and is about half the price of the Apple. It has a matte finish as opposed to the glossy I was used to but overall, I’m very pleased with the image quality. The monitor comes factory calibrated. I set it to AdobeRGB and it basically looks the same as when I calibrated with my Spyder X.Pros: Great image quality at about half the price of the Apple Studio Display. Plenty of connection ports and works as a hub for both USB-C and USB-3.Cons: No webcam. Poor quality speakers.I’m willing to sacrifice the webcam and use my iPhone instead. At half the price of the Apple Studio Display, I’m thrilled with it.Also, one of the questions asked was whether you can daisy chain displays. The answer listed was no but I believe that’s incorrect. Here’s what is says in the manual:“To activate daisy chaining, you need to do the following: set Power Saving to Normal Level. Note: Input port will be fixed (no auto detection) when DP out cable is plugged.”So I believe it does support this function although I haven’t tried it. I have a second monitor but I have this connected by the HDMI port on my Mini.

This monitor leave out frills like speakers and a camera but the display quality is good and costs less than other 5K options. Color looks great out of the box. I use the monitor for design and Photoshop work on a MacBook Pro, no gaming. I do wish they had added ethernet but I can work around that. Happy with my purchase.
Fast shipping from B&H. Good build quality, but plastic everything. Height-adjustable stand with rotation. Color accuracy and screen brightness are exceptional. Physical OSD control buttons on the front of the display are convenient and easily accessible. The 'LuxPixel Technology' layer adds a significant amount of grain to the screen. Very annoying for a creative professional like myself. I want to see white and NOT a texture that's mostly white. It's almost a deal breaker for me. Great at reducing glare but diminishes the picture quality. It's apparent all the time, but especially when viewing alongside an Apple Studio Display or MacBook Pro (XDR).
Finally, there’s a viable alternative to Apple and LG’s overpriced 27” 5K monitors. As soon as I saw this was available, I purchased it. I’d been considering an Apple Studio Display but was put off by its high price, gimmicky features (speakers, webcam), large bezels, and underwhelming in-store experience. As a software engineer primarily using macOS, I’ve been relying on a Dell Ultrasharp 27” WQHD (1440p) display. While it offers great contrast and color accuracy, the pixelated and blurry text has been a constant annoyance. The display quality is excellent—though not quite on par with my MacBook Pro’s built-in screen. I’ve noticed some vignetting; it’s subtle but noticeable and could be a deal-breaker for some users, though it doesn’t affect my workflow significantly.Overall, I’m satisfied with the ProArt Display. However, I feel it should be priced closer to $500–$600, as its build quality and materials are a downgrade compared to Dell’s offerings.
Easy to set up, perfect color out of the box. The dual screens worked great with my M4 Mac Mini, using the USB C connections for both. Great alternative to the Apple display -- for half the cost. Also, the matte finish is amazing, I love it.
I needed a monitor for my new Macbook Pro 14 M4. I also wanted to go with a monitor designed for the Mac native resolution of 5K (5120 x 2880) to have the best clarity of the display. I watched several reviews of the new ASUS ProArt and it met all of my requirements. The performance is great! A very clear image with text that is super easy to read. Also the brightness is very good and the color accuracy is superior. The monitor also can act as a KVM so I can have my PC connected along with the Macbook and switch between them on the monitor.
This display works great paired with the new Mac mini. The resolution is completely similar to the iMac 27 display, and it is perfectly bright and uniform across the screen. The controls are not accessible from the keyboard, which is the main drawback, but for me those were never important.
I just got a new MAC Mini m4 chip, and have the ASUS attached by HDMI. I had no problem getting the ASUS to work. Note: There are 7-buttons on the lower-right of the bezel. The left-most button is the power switch, which you must turn on manually; the MAC Mini cannot turn the monitor power on. The right-most button brings up a menu of options; brightness, connection, etc. The MAC mini wants, and uses, the 5k resolution. Great color & resolution detail!
