Runs everything you can throw at it, with settings maxed out. Build quality is superb and it’s a burly card, so make sure your chassis is big enough to house it. Also make sure you have a PSU that can deliver power to the x3 8pin power connectors on the card.Fan headers are a nice touch and are able to sync connected fan speed with those on the GPU. This is a nice touch given that the GPU is likely to be the biggest dumper of heat into your chassis.Value for money is always a difficult one with cards like this. Given the supply shortages and high cost it all comes down to how much willing you are to pay for performance.

A Monster for a box

This card is definitely for gamers who want to play 4k games at comfortable frames. It is also very good at high fps in 1440p (but the 3080 would potentially be equal). I hit 180 fps regularly on games like warzone or r6 maxed out 100% resolution.But most importantly, I use blender (3d modeling and rendering software) daily and this has been the biggest upgrade I've ever made. Scenes that would have taken 8 days to complete are now below 8 hours.I would reccomend this to anyone who has the money and does more than gaming.It is also a masterpiece and really dominates within a case. Sprinkle in some ray tracing that again beats anything else currently on offer and then add DLSS and you have the best gpu money can buy at this time. Amazing performance and beautiful color!

I'm a 3D animator and using this card for work has been an absolute dream! The 24GB of video memory lets me easily navigate, load, and animate really dense and texture heavy scenes in my 3D programs. Playing games back on a 4k monitor has been smooth and pretty flawless. So happy I was able to get this in white because it matches the rest of my white custom-built PC. The RGB lighting is also really appealing and the card overall is nicely designed and easy to install.

Best of the Best

Great overall card that can take almost anything you throw at it. If you're looking for a 3090, this is the one to get. If you want a gaming beast of a card, then you will want a 3080. Yeah, price/performance is in the toilet, and the amount of reasons to get this card over a 3080 is quite few to say the least.The RGB on the card itself is fine, however, the software provided by ASUS is trash. The light scheme you see shown in marketing? The card can do that, but the software can't. So in the end, you get a choice of one single color that can blink at various speeds or not at all.But if have money to spend or can justify the increased memory for what you plan to use it for, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent card, chews at everything I throw at it!

Pros: This graphics card is simply beautiful. The lighting, the shroud, the overall design.I've upgraded from a 2080 Strix, and the jump in performance now allows me to max out CP77 at 3440x1440 with Ray Tracing (this was not possible with the 2080). TW3 is also maxed out and caps at 100fps.Cons: It does require a fair bit of power, and generates so much heat as a consequence. The VRAM tend to gets hot, which makes the fans ramp up even if the GPU stays cool. Very pricey for marginal performance improvement over the 3080.If you are a PC gaming enthusiast, have appropriate airflow in your case and a beefy PSU (as well as the cash to spare, as it is very pricey at £2k), get this card!

Long Time Coming...

Have been waiting for one of these since it's release and was finally able to buy one. Upgrading from a 2080ti and this thing is pretty stellar. Have been playing Infinite and Forza mostly and I am free impressed with this card on ultra settings. Have it paired with a tenth gen i7 and 32gb of memory on 490 board. Huge thanks to BH Photo for having these in stock. Almost impossible to get through Best Buy and New Egg.. and don't even get my started on the markups with the 3rd party sites. Paying MSRP was definitely a huge win on the purchase of this card.

Powerful GPU, downside is the GPU is powerful...

So I've had issues since installing the card, serious issues. Now I cant say if its the card that unveiled them or caused them but I've regretted the decision since.So my Motherboard is a year old now. and the BIOS version was fine with what i had. its a year old, and out of date i suppose but as the hardware hasnt changed, whatever.Installing the GPU, all was fine. then a few days later, it really wasnt.Long story short, BIOS issues/Mobo issues, RAM issues, Hard drive issues.The Mobo had to be replaced, seemingly bricked, and now one of my good Gskill RAM sticks is giving a POST error in the new motherboard.The only thing that changed was the GPU? I replaced the Mobo with the same model and it works.Asside from who knows what ever nightmare that was all about, the FANS. the fans are gonna troll you fiercely. my ASUS Strixx 1080ti stopped fans under 60c, which was anytime i wasnt gaming. my Rig is cool. The ASUS Strixx 3090 though has a wattage condition as well as temp, so running an 1440p ultrawide at 100hz just requires over the fixed 50watt threashold, even if under 50/60c so they always run at 53%. The GPU tweakII software doesnt seem to work at all with this card, give it up. My Motherboards AI Tweak 3 software (Asus) does seem to have impact on the cards behaviour though.Now this card has made my system far hotter overall, and to the heading of this review. Because the card is more powerful, my CPU has more room to work (AMD 5900x), so the CPU does more work. Overall this means everything is louder, hotter. Its not just more performance for the same cost, its more power draw, louder fans to deal with the cooling and a CPU that is doing more work so the CPUs fans are going at it more.I've had to redo my case fans curve, CPU curve and i'm still trying to balance the GPUs curve. it's prone to sudden temp spikes now which lead to a sudden high intensity fan session for 5-10seconds.Probably best you just get a 3080 folks.

How about Nvidia preparing to launch their 4000-series cards and you're still twiddling your thumbs with a 2080? Wait, you want more? How do you propose to battle the literal retail bot programs that run while you're sleeping or taking a dump to purchase these cards from all known vendors as soon as a stock notification pops up on your phone with an automated delivery system that probably goes ... MoreSure, I got scalped. It came in pristine condition, factory sealed. Holy hell, right out of the box, it's a heavy son of a gun. Once installed, it literally weighs on your PCI slot to your motherboard enough where if left unattended, it will bend the PCI connector downwards. Luckily, they sell $10.00 mounts.Performance? Unless I'm playing a PC game that's from a developer who doesn't know how to optimize their games, I'm locked in at 144 FPS. Star Wars: Battlefront II was the first game I wanted to test it on. DX12, Ultra'd out of my mind graphics, and with a 130% in-game resolution, it doesn't drop a frame from 144, even in intensive battles. Tried GTA V, roughly 100 FPS on maxed out settings while driving, 144 FPS indoors or when stopped. Red Dead Redemption 2 is roughly 110 - 120 FPS on high graphics. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla around 110 FPS maxed out. Disclaimer that you need more than a sweet GPU to get that type of performance (32GB DDR5 RAM, 5.2 GHZ CPU, light overclock, etc), but it's where most of it comes from.

I had a 0.001% of winning this card from Newegg Shuffle, so when I was notified that I was selected, I was speechless (probably just used up all the luck I had for the year on winning this card). When presented with an opportunity to buy an Asus Strix 3090 White Edition at near its MSRP, I took it. Now was it worth it to buy a $2.3K GPU? The short answer for me is "yes". Is it an overkill GPU for my use case? ... Way Overkill, but I love it regardless. The regular version of the Asus ROG Strix 3090 already looks amazing but this White Edition is perfect for my white color scheme. Even though the shroud is made mostly of plastic, the card itself looks and feels quite hefty and premium. I have no comments about its overclocking capabilities as I see no need for it to be overclocked as it's already one of the best GPU to use in its stock settings. The only con for me is that the price to performance. Paying over double MSRP for up to 10% more performance over the 3080 is not recommended. But personally I like to have the latest and greatest so this con is not a deal breaker for me. Overall, the ASUS ROG Strix 3090 White Edition is a champion among champion.
