I'll start off by saying, this monitor is the ultimate 4K HDR1400 144Hz Gsync monitor, the picture is absolutely amazing in games. If you are the type of individual like me who cranks every single setting to max in games to enjoy the graphics, this monitor is for you! I am driving this monitor with an RTX 4090 and is an amazing experience. Everything is butter smooth and my eyes have never been treated so well with PC gaming. This monitor can do 4K 144Hz @ 12-Bit Color with no compromises over display port (DSC is amazing). I play all kinds of games from fast based FPS games to slower simulation games, to average racing games, and everything looks amazing, response time is good, and I have not seen any ghosting. Also, I don't even hear the fans on this thing, but I also have the monitor version with the newest firmware (which also cuts brightness to 1400nits from 1600nits after a few seconds if it is full screen coverage) Pros: Unmatched HDR Quality, Amazing Colors, Responsive screen (don't believe the reviews online, I do not see any ghosting or issues at 144Hz in games, it's not OLED response times, but its more than acceptable and unless your eyes are professional cameras replaying in slow motion, you will never see any blur). 32" is the perfect size for a 4K monitor (not TV mind you). Also, design looks pretty nice, and I've come to enjoy the little screen at the bottom for displaying things like GPU and CPU temp. Honestly, I don't even notice it when gaming unless I actually look for it, but it can be turned off if that is not your thing. Cons: Here is the downside, ASUS QC is absolutely horrible. Do NOT buy this online, go into the store and buy it. It took THREE, yes, 3!!! monitors to get a working one out of the box with no issues. I'm not talking small issues like 1 or 2 dead pixels in a corner (which I have 0 and to be honest, at this price should not exist anyway), I'm talking the first monitor died after 1 hour of use. Legit starting flashing random colors and then died. I went back to the store to swap for another monitor. The second monitor (well the power supply to be exact) tripped my battery backup overload instantly. Even when not hooked up to the monitor, so the monitor may have been alright. Either way, come on ASUS, that's an easy test before ship. Finally, I exchanged for a THIRD monitor, which I am using to this day with 0 issues. But after all that, you bet I bought the extra no hassle MC warranty incase this thing goes down the road, I sure would not want to trust ASUS to fix it. So, I guess make sure your local MC has more than 1 of these, just in case! To sum up, easily the best gaming monitor I have ever owned and I plan to keep this monitor for a long time for gaming. But buyer beware of bad QC from ASUS and absolutely be prepared to exchange for a working one. At this price point, there should be absolutely 0 issues and 0 compromise when it comes to a monitor's quality. If not for ASUS QC, this would have been an easy 5 star review...

For 360Hz to work, you will need pc that can push to +360fps. I mainly play FPS so every fps and screen Hz that help me in gaming sessions I will buy anything. I have this product since 12/2020. After 1-2 years of usage the only problem I had with product is only screen color is abnormal or random jitter and I have to reset it through monitor setting menu. ASUS also have a support page to help anything and that's how I find out the solution for this problem. I would highly recommend to extend monitor arm for this, I didn't really like the feet it self because I don't have enough space for my mouse and keyboard. All I can say is... this thing is pricey but worth it!

I have nothing negative to say about this monitor as it gave me exactly what I wanted and more. I will note that I didn't understand the labeling and thought it was a Free Sync monitor, but it is only compatible meaning that an AMD GPU will use "Adaptive Sync Compatible" settings. This in NO WAY takes away from the magnificent picture quality in gaming, and the 144Hz display easily syncs for games that may drop in refresh rates. Aside from that, I'll say that the average gamer will never see the difference between gaming on this display vs a 4k display, and the loss of performance on a 4K display isn't worth the extra money. This display is awesome, and I highly recommend it.

So for reference, I bought 3 Acer XB323U GX monitors that are comparable to this Asus, but faster refresh and higher peak brightness in HDR. Each one of the Acers had issue with either the backlight flickering in zones, or dead pixels out of the box. So…. I returned all three of those and picked up this Asus PG329Q. It was fine out of the box with a minor pixel issue on the left side of the screen but it was liveable as I can barely notice it and I really have to look for it to find it. No big deal. This monitor has good enough HDR, good colors, very easy on the eyes as far as eye strain (I could not say the same with the xb323ugx). So I’ll likely keep this one. My 4080 with everything maxed out on modern aaa games, hits around 140-160fps so this is perfect. I have been waiting on this monitor since it was announced at CES 2021. After several delays, I was finally able to get one. I’ve had the monitor for a little over a week now and it’s been amazing. It compliments my high end PC and PS5 perfectly. Sure it’s not HDR1000+ or have FALD, but I’m not complaining since it cost 1/3 the price as the X model. Also, some people have been put off by certain reviewers saying the “rEsPoNsE tImEs ArE sLoW”… no. The monitors overdrive modes take care of that perfectly. The average gamer wont notice anyway and you would need a microscope to even see any ghosting. If your looking for a 32” 4K monitor that will also compliment your new console with HDMI 2.1, look no further. If your looking for a 32” 4K monitor that will also compliment your new console with HDMI 2.1, look no further. UPDATE: After over 3 months of use the monitor is still going strong. I haven’t had any major issues with it yet. I will say that the halo effect is VERY noticeable. So if your someone who really doesn’t like blooming around white or lighter objects or find it distracting, you might want to hold off for better 2.1 monitors to release. There are better options coming but the prices are going to be considerably more compared to this one.
I received a defective panel with a purple dot/led on the top left corner of the screen that was permanently on. There is also a ton of haloing and blooming due to the mini led panel which was a deal breaker for me and is why I chose to return it and did not get a replacement. The blooming is extremely unpleasant to look at and distracting. It's highly noticeable in both desktop use and while gaming. The response times are also relatively slow compared to other high end gaming monitors so there is a bit of motion blur and latency that is noticeable when playing competitive games. Excluding these issues, there is a lot to like about the monitor. The mini led panel allows the monitor to get incredibly bright while also having great contrast. 4K at 144hz with Gsync ... MoreI received a defective panel with a purple dot/led on the top left corner of the screen that was permanently on. If the blooming and haloing was not as bad as it was, I would have gotten a replacement for the defect and kept the monitor, but for me personally it was a deal breaker. There are just too many cons that do not just justify its price in my opinion.
Great when it works. However, I've tried multiple fixes between the GPU, power, and monitor itself, but keep having issues with screen flickering. Every 1.5 mins, the screen will go black for about 5 seconds, then flick back on. I've been having more and more cases where the screen glitches out completely. When everything shifts over to my 1440p BenQ monitor, it works fine. I'm only having problems with this Asus monitor. For the cost, I would expect it to work very well. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
Is it worth $3K?....NO! However, if that kind of money is no concern then get it ; ) This monitor will visually enhance everything from wallpaper to games. Your experience won't be, "Ya that's an improvement." It'll be the scene from Matrix when Morpheus tells Neo his eyes hurt because he's never used them before. Or it could be the 1400 nits... Owning the PG27UQ, I can honestly say 1152 zones of mini-LEDs make a dramatic difference over 384 standard LEDs. Especially with haloing in dark areas. However, the price was right on that one Bob. The mini-OLED screen is awesome and can have up to 5 system read-outs cycle, but the choices are basic. Temps, Fans, Voltage, and FPS. Also, Armoury Crate app is required. Please note it will install its own RGB lighting service and will cause issues with any others. There's some preset animations or you can upload your own black and white GIF. Also, there's 3 cheap ROG banners you can add your gamer tag too, but not worth it. 3rd party integration would've been nice. I do believe the min-LED technology is what you're truly paying for and for good reason. It does go toe to toe with my OLED in the picture quality arena. So, I think twice about getting an OLED gaming monitor as mini-LED, so far, provides almost equal image quality, but with no burn-in. And that's a big BUT. Lastly, don't forget to shortcut the screenshot folder before you game on this monitor!
I know this monitor came out a year or two ago but after reading the reviews I decided to purchase it. They rated it as the "Ultimate" monitor at the time. 4k, wide color gamut/accuracy, 144 hz, 1400 hdr certified, oled osd screen, mini led, g sync ultimate. I saw this drop by almost $900.00 online and Microcenter was more than happy to price match it so I picked it up. If you're not a competitive gamer and don't need 240 + mhz than this monitor is a dream. This screen looks amazing in both sdr & hdr. Highly recommend picking this up if you see it on sale anywhere. You are getting what you pay for.
I don’t do reviews on ANYTHING but if this helps anybody who’s out there going crazy trying to figure out what monitor to buy and spending their valuable time doing research and reading reviews look, I’ll keep it simple. If you’re upgrading to a 1440p and/or looking for a 32” monitor in general, THIS IS IT!!!! Forget all the other nonsense. People say “oh, the colors are just slightly this or that or you can get a better monitor at a cheaper price or” SHUT UP! Pick this one up, you won’t regret it, stop drowning yourself on YouTube videos of hardcore breakdowns of detailed info on specs that you most likely won’t even notice while you’re gaming or working.
