I really have to say, at first it was a bit weird making sure the true 7.1 speakers work. But after a few updates I will never go back to virtual Surround Sound. Gaming with these headset made everything sound like I'm there in the action. I was able to pin point every foot step on all my FPS Games. Games like planet coaster I heard sounds that I never heard before. I Highly recommend trying them out. The Build quality is premium and have a sturdy feel to them. I won't be switching back to the Asus Fusion 700 anytime soon. Although I miss the Bluetooth connection so I can talk to my GF while gaming. There is one downfall that may change your mind. The cable is thick and the headset is big but how else would you power up all 8 speakers. This headset for the money was disappointing, it's pretty big,if you are one of those who like to remove an ear cuff to listen to someone, this isn't the headset for you. I also experienced some horrible loud static at times when playing games, and was constantly having others say I was super quiet when talking on voice. I ended up sending this back as I was so disappointed with it. I may have just got unlucky with mine, but decided to switch back to Hyper X

Have had mine now for 6 months and the sound qualitiy is amazing. BUT THE HEAD ADJUSTER FELL APART, and scan have said that its my problem. I can put it back together and it works fine but for the cost of this its not worth it. the construction quality is poor.If you are looking to spend this amount of money by another product.If you want to be supported when the item fails BUY ELSEWHERE scan will leave you high and dry
Pros: Amazing sound quality and sound stage. In the beginning it doesn't sound very impressive, but after tweaking with the app and the equalizer, the sound is outstanding.Cons: The mic sound isn't awesome, but it's not bad either. The headphones are quite heavy, so if you're not used to such weight on your head, it might feel uncomfortable at first. Also, the cables are thick and somewhat stiff, so they may get in the way when you're playing.
This headset has an excellent sound quality except it has no noise reduction function. The ear cushions design of this headset makes me no longer feel sultry when using it in summer or some day with high temperature.To be honest, the microphone of this headset is not as well advertised. Even if I turn on the microphone noise reduction in the armoury crate, my friends can still hear the sound of me typing with a mechanical keyboard from my side. But overall this is still an excellent headset except the price is a little expensive.

These headphones are on the level of Bose and Sony in audio quality: clean, crisp, defined highs and medium bass. These have the same audio codec that comes built-in on higher end motherboards. Armoury Crate software is garbage though, I use them with just windows drivers. They are heavy, I would not use these for 3-4 hour gaming sessions or just take breaks every hour. Temperatures are decent, ears stay warm, but not extremely hot. There are better options in this price range, but these are very good if you are looking to combine very good music quality and good gaming audio.
this headset sounds great. however the plastic headband will break, even with light use and storing it on a headset stand the headset still broke
The headset is built well, but takes a lot of tinkering with the software to reach its full potential. I had to purchase additional software to make it sound better since the ROG software just does not fully utilize its capability. Knowing what I know now, it's better to buy a studio headset and an external apt. Sannheiser, creative, and schitt audio all make good stuff that are better than what you get for the price of this headset. It is also huge and feels very heavy on your head.
