Great gaming experiences are created by redefining the rules. The AMD-Radeon RX-5700 Series GPUs defy existing conventions and utilize brand-new 7nm technology with RDNA architecture specifically designed for a perfect 1440p gaming experience. More efficient computing power easily takes care of advanced 3D effects and 8GB high-speed GDDR6 VRAM offers more than enough space for detailed textures, grid models and graphic effects in modern games. Industry-leading software and frequent driver updates provide an even more immersive gaming experience with overclocking capabilities, gameplay recording and many more features. The Radeon RX-5700 Series GPUs are powered by the RDNA architecture, the heart of AMD's new 7nm technology. RDNA has up to 40 newly developed computing units that deliver incredible performance and offer up to 4x more instructions per cycle (IPC). The result is significantly improved performance for visual effects such as volumetric lighting, blur and depth of field. The architecture also supports DisplayPort 1.4 with Display Stream Compression (DSC), a technology that enables 4K gaming on compatible screens at extreme refresh rates and without chroma subsampling.

Excellent card performance-wise, terrible for temperature and noise. After an hour under 75% load the Thermal Junction was at 85C and the fan was quite intrusive, even with headphones on. This is with the stock Wattman settings for the fan too, so the fan was only running at 40% speed. Turn the fan to full and the noise is akin to switching on a vacuum cleaner (this is not an exaggeration, it's awful) and you'll only lose about 5C in heat. I found downclocking and downvolting the card was the only realistic way of getting bearable temperatures (8-10 cooler) with bearable noise levels. But that's the key word here; "Bearable". Don't spend the money on a reference 5700XT - it's not comfortable to live with, especially if you game next to your rig or your ambient room ... MoreExcellent card performance-wise, terrible for temperature and noise. I can however, vouch for the performance which trades blows with the GTX 1080ti and RTX 2070 Super - so if you find a partner card with an AIB cooler for a similar price to this, go for it.
