I upgraded to this router after my ISP supplied router was having problems with the wifi. I set up the IP details, Wireless details and NBN details before connecting it and it worked perfectly after doing so. I was amazed at the speed boost, which was about 8 times or more faster than I had before. The best feature for me is the smart switching of the wifi range. It picks the strongest connection, either 2.4 or 5ghz and uses that as needed. I have a range extender from another company and was able to set it up with WPS, although the wifi range with this ASUS router is excellent and much better than I had before. Easy setup although make sure to use the mobile app rather than the gateway.Easily handles 10+ devices on the network all through the house without any drop off, is only limited by modem and ISP so far
Using it as the main AiMesh router, which finally allows seeing 2.5Gbps out of 10, promised by Salt )Note that using any type of QoS surprisingly limits the speed (the whole WAN, not end devices!) to ~600Mbps. But since I don't have devices which physically can do >1Gbps in my home network, I simply turned the QoS off.
Pros: Using 160Hz on 5GHz, good range and fast. Better that previous routersCons: Would be good to have option for subnets on ports, but that is probably beyond scope of consumer router

Pros: Excellent features for the price. Strong WiFi performance and ability to really filter traffic and secure connected devices. 2.5Gbps wan port is also a worthy addition.Absolute steal for the price!
Pros: Very fast, lots of customisation options, 2.5Gbe port, firewall and VPN fusion make this a fully featured device.Cons: Range could be better, especially on AX protocol. Would recommend this device for small-medium apartments but consider an extender for anything else.
