In the end, if you have solid sound, This is a very decent monitor. 75hz is a nice step up from 60 or 65. Getting true 1080p is also sweet. If you have been waiting and are on a tight budget for your mega gaming, This might be a good fit for you. I will add, I came back and found the ASUS with speakers and got 2 of them. It looks like they will match this one on the stand, so having no sound on one wont be an issue.

We bought two of these, and are very pleased with the monitors. Beautiful display, colors are vibrant, and you can adjust the display to your eyes (whatever looks best to you), which is a huge plus. For the money, this monitor is a great buy, imho.

This monitor is a great deal! Is it the best monitor around? No, but is it amazing for the price? Absolutely. It does everything it claims to, as well as it claims to. The monitor pivots, but doesn't raise/lower. If that was a priority, I could have spent a bunch more money. The resolution is pretty good, but I didn't buy it for gaming, so pretty good is 100% of what I need. If I wanted phenomenal refresh, resolution, etc. I could've spent a bunch more money....but I didn't, so I didn't. Totally satisfied.
I thought that going this large on a 1080p screen would result in things being noticeably pixelated, but I was wrong. It looks great. Also, the color & viewing angles on this panel are great. If you're hoping to use GSync on this monitor though by taking advantage of recent nVidia support of FreeSynch, be aware that this nVidia feature only works with displayport, which this monitor does not have, so you'll be out of luck there. Other than that, this is a perfect monitor for work and everyday use, and gaming if you're not after the highest possible refresh rates.
I am not a gamer or streamer, but I do a lot of video editing and burning of discs. I am in the process of building a new, more powerful computer and needed a monitor to go with it. I am using a 22 inch monitor with my current computer and saw this larger monitor at a great price. I am an older person and my eyes are not what they used to be, so a larger screen is great for me. Also, I was getting headaches when using my old monitor for any length of time, and this has eye care, which should be easier on my eyes (haven't used enough yet to find out, but a previous reviewer said it worked for him). It is a beautiful picture. My only caveat is the power cord. It's shorter than the one with my old monitor, so I had to stretch it and it just made it to my power outlet ... This monitor easily replaced my old monitor. The VGA port on the monitor fits well with my KVM (keyboard video mouse) switch. The increased screen area makes it easier for me to experiment with the graphics program Blender. Instead of the monitor being up close I now have set it back on the far side of the desk leaving me some open table space for books and notes as I develop code. Overall it has been a very good change.

I use these monitors for day-to-day use and not for gaming. - I would recommend these monitors considering the price range I found them in, when searching for monitors on Newegg. Great value. - One thing I would change if I could: the lengths of the included cables. The power cables *just* reach the power strip on the floor; however, the power strip floats in the air when I raise the desk to standing height. The HDMI cable lengths work for the docking station that currently sits on my desk, but they will ... Great monitor, low price, didn't have to change any settings, took seconds to setup. Setup was really ez. No dead pixels. No issues. Shipped faster then expected. The base was bigger than the other asus monitors I've bought b4, would like to of seen a different base. Have had a lot of asus monitors and this has to be the biggest base I've seen but don't let this deter you from buying it. Just mean it will be more sturdy. Great addition to my other 2 monitors, adding more desktop real estate.
This monitor is sleek, modern, very clean-looking and simple to use. The materials that it's made out of are great quality. It connects to a PC/laptop very quickly with the HDMI cable that it came with. The stand for the monitor has an anti-slip bottom and is VERY EASY to assemble and disassemble. The screen is also adjustable to face slightly more upward or downward. The picture that it displays is good. I'm always paranoid about having fragile objects like electronics being shipped to my house, but this monitor came quickly and safely. Everything is mint condition and works properly. Definitely worth the money if this monitor fits your needs.
