As an older veteran certified ski professional I was looking for a boot that I could wear for long hours and were super comfortable and provided medium flex. Although I am
used to a racing style boot with many features so switching to this particular model the Hawks Prime turned out to exactly what I was looking for. Held up quite well on fast
steeps and GS turns on wide groomers.

The boot fits very good. The only thing I am not sure about are the power straps. We will see. I have been on them four days. They are a true 130 flex. My old boots were two
years old 130 flex but very soft flex. The Pro fit being foamed is very custom fit. Very happy with boots.

Great boots at an affordable price. We got these for my son, along with some new skis, and he loves them. Skis blacks and blues on resort. Warm and comfortable. Solid
choice. These will last him for years to come.

Every Bit as Good as Advertised
8 November 2018
It fits like a glove. More control and power than I've ever experienced in any boot. (I can't believe I waited this long to get a 130 stiffness boot.) Not saying there aren't other amazing boots. There are. This is easily a top 5 boot on evo. I didn't want to mess with custom heat molding. That was actually key in my decision to buy this boot. These boots mold to your foot automatically and I didn't want to mess with a molding process. I get it, some like it. If you want to skip that step, these are perfect. If you want to get it custom molded, you can do that too. I have a normal width to slightly narrower foot. I can understand why someone with a wide foot would not like these, but for everyone else, you can't go wrong. The comfort is unreal with this boot.... Show more

Good ski boots for intermediate skiers
20 January 2023
Needed to replace my ancient Salomon boots. They were so old the rubber heel inserts crumbled on me. I’m a 65 y/o intermediate level skier living in Vermont. I just wanted something comfortable to cruise the groomed slopes. After reading a lot about current boot technology I settled on these. They are as comfortable as new boots can be. I did have to put in the footbed insert that they came with to reduce them 1/2 size as they were a tad too loose without them. L9 had the best price on them that I could find anywhere. Happy my purchase.... Show more

Important to know about the foam kit
7 December 2021
Bought these new Pro Atomics thinking that I can foam at home. You appraently can't at least without the foam machine! So I check Atomic website and there are a couple Atomic boot authorized shops around. Called the closest two and they have no idea if they can actually foam these. Have not trkied them out yet. They seem similar to other hawxs I have rented so I expect they will be fine.... Show more

My experience
30 November 2022
My experience with purchasing these boots was pretty easy. I wanted to make sure I was getting the right size so I went to a local shop and got sized. These guys were great. I will definitely use them for tuning up my skis and any other of my equipment needs.I have not had the opportunity to use them yet. But the fit seems to be the same as in the store. So far so good.... Show more

Race Boot performance all day that won't kill your feet
31 March 2023
Great product! Upgraded from the Hawx 110 for better performance and NASTAR racing. Had The Ski Shoe in Deer Valley help me with the foam injection plus custom footbeds, etc. The firmness and response of a race boot that you can ski all day without killing your feet. The "Pro" strap seems a bit over worked but can be simplified. Totally recommend the boot. Got 8 great days at Deer Valley to try them out, crazy amount of snow. Can't wait for next season.... Really Good
13 January 2022
Quality build with easy instep, very light, strong, warm, and comfortable, but the bottom of the boot needs some thin insoles because the footbed is not comfortable at all. Feels like standing on bumpy plastic or bad concrete. It comes with insoles that go under the liner, but they reduce the size by a half size, which was too much for me. Flex and size are spot on.... Ski boots that does not have to be tight!
20 December 2018
What a relief to ski and actually filling my legs are alive while skiing and after!First of all, even though Atomic Hawx Prime can be fully customized (liner and shell thermo-molding) I only had to heat-fit the liner, so far.I have tried (3) different tension methods:1. top strap wraps around a leg tight (inside boot shell), then boot shall, both top clips are tight, both bottom clips are medium tight. Pros - phenomenal response and control. Cons - limited motion due to rigid uncle support / reduced elasticity, legs going to sleep after run or two.2. the straps going outside boot shell (norm.) still top boot clips and strap tight and bottom clips are medium tight. Pros - more flexibility, still great deal of the controll and responce. Cons - have to keep moving ... MoreWhat a relief to ski and actually filling my legs are alive while skiing and after!First of all, even though Atomic Hawx Prime can be fully customized (liner and shell thermo-molding) I only had to heat-fit the liner, so far.I have tried (3) different tension methods:1. top strap wraps around a leg tight (inside boot shell), then boot shall, both top clips are tight, both bottom clips are medium tight. Cons - have to keep moving your legs inside boots between the runs to keep the blood going, take a break from time to time.3. medium tension on the top section of the boot (norm.) and light pressure on the bottom. Pros - absolute comfort while skiing (to my surprise without compromising performance, versatility, and performance - go fast or just play around. Cons: feels a bit tight on my right foot toe (time to customize the shell)Hitting a deep powder or going near G on well-groomed condition is all good fun!I can't wait to try new XTDs, but maybe next season its about $1k upgrade now (with bindings)....
