This is great for record cleaning. It consists of a brush and a cleaning solution. It's amazing how much dust will come off a seemingly clean record. I've been disappointed by several new record cleaners including the latest version of the d***washer. I found the AT6012 at my stereo tech's shop. He was installing a new cartridge and tested it after using the AT6012 on the test record. I noticed how well it worked. We both complained about how poorly some of the available cleaning systems work. He thinks the AT6012 works because of the thick "nap" on the brush which is lacking in some leading cleaning systems. Can't tell you how glad I was to find the AT6012. It rocks!

Excellent product the brush does a great job cleaning, it's the right material and shape to do a very nice job getting dust out of the grooves. One thing though order yourself some cleaning solution because the kit comes with a smallish supply of liquid. This product is the best out of 3 major brands I tried.

Used this a few times on records that have been sitting for years. Does a good job cleaning, no streaks, doesn't scratch, soft cloth and easy to use. My only complaint is that I had no way to tell if the pad was getting overfilled. So the first time there was some overuse of the liquid. Solved that problem by just wetting the cloth part directly instead of filling the holes. It worked better for me. You don't want to know what we used to use back in the olden days. This is much better than that.

This is an excellent record care solution by Audio Technica. It has a really nice brush and cleaner system, as well as enough fluid for over a dozen uses. Each use of the fluid on the brush can clean a handful of records (about 4-5 12-inch LPs front and back) before it should be wiped. The blue strip cleaner will help remove particles gathered by the brush as you clean your records.
Bought this to match the brand of the turntable I bought. Only listen to records casually. Generally buy from secondhand or record stores. This product has helped clean quite a bit of 'gunk' off of the ilder records Ive found. To be honest, you can only clean off so much previous, caked ok residue before you have to actually get a little more pressure on the record. This product, though, can get the general grime and what not off of the record and helps shine it up. Disclaimer: i always take a soft cloth (or microfiber) to the record before to get the all of the loose hair and dust before using this product
Don't worry about the cleaning solution liquid, as many reviewers have said once it runs out, you can't buy replacement. This is something you can find on it's own from other brands. It's nothing special, but I do wish BB and AT would consider having the solution in stores for us. Having 4 BB's in a 10 mile radius makes me a loyal customer :-)This isn't the only device I use for cleaning records. I use the Audio Technica carbon fiber brush first, and then this to get more removed. Has worked well on dusty records, and I can tell a difference vs using the brush alone.
A litrle pricey in my opion but does the job.The instructions say to pour the cleaner into the 2 holes and wait 5 min to use. I tried this and did not feel the pad really being wet. Plus, only wanting to play a couple albums, I didnt want ro waste the cleaning solution. So, I decided ro just put a few drops of fluid on the face of the pad. Did the trick and didnt feel wastefull. Anyway, the cleaner does work. Nice to get my old LPs out and play them again. Nothing like the sound of vinyl LPs on a good sound system.
I recently purchased this to clean many of my old LP's that have been sitting in storage for the past 30+ years. The cleaning brush does a good job picking up dust and particles on my records.I probably use less of the cleaning solution then what they recommend but I haven't noticed any problems.I would recommend something like this to anything listening to vinyl.
I'm new to vinyl, and after seeing this kit demonstrated on YouTube a little while back, I decided to purchase this as it looked like a simple yet effective solution for cleaning records. I haven't been disappointed; it's easy to use, and quite effective in cleaning records with light to moderate dust and grime. My one gripe is a technical flaw with the design of the holes on the brush and the nozzle on the bottle. The holes are too small; the drops of solution tend to cling across each hole instead of falling into the body of the brush, with the surface tension of the solution then blocking the holes from accepting further drops. I ended up boring out the holes (carefully) with a small drill bit, and decanting the solution into a bottle with a smaller nozzle, and ... MoreI'm new to vinyl, and after seeing this kit demonstrated on YouTube a little while back, I decided to purchase this as it looked like a simple yet effective solution for cleaning records. Well, this over engineered. But it works. The design is to dump fluid into the brush. But I don't play vinyl often enough for that. So I just put a few drops on the brush and clean my LP. The fluid and brush work great for that. I think additional fluid is not carried in store.
