It just makes sense! This will be my second Audio- Technica stylus the first coming with the record player that I purchased during summer. I been listening to records old and new and this (needle) has stood up through playback of some of my scratched and dirty vinyl. A few of my records are scratched but I wanted to listen to them anyways because I they are music I listened to growing up. It played them perfectly fine and let me tell you it still does.. so 'it makes sense' to stick with what works! I bought this one to put away for when the stylus that came with my Audio-Technica player does go bad. It seems it very well may be a long time and if not I have this one ready to play the next hundreds and hundreds of hours of music enjoyment.

I bought this stylus a few weeks to replace the one installed on my turntable after it was accidentally damaged. The ATN3600L had been recommended to me as a cheap and easy to find replacement that was compatible with my turntable. The stylus was very easy to install and the sound quality was really good. I think it’s excellent value for money and I certainly would recommend it as an affordable stylus that’s easy to find and sounds great.

I decided on this Audio Technica Stylus to replace my Pioneer PZP1004 Stylus on Pioneer PL990 deck. They are compatible. I didn't want to buy one of the cheaper, readily available, brightly coloured replacements in case they were of lower quality & potentially damaging to my vinyl. This stylus was simple to fit and I'm quite impressed with the sound quality. Tracks well & nice clear signal through both channels. All good so far.

I noticed some distortion when playing my records about 6 months after purchasing my Audio Technical AT LP60X. This usually means the stylus is failing. So I looked up the replacement and ordered it from Best Buy.The new stylus arrived in less then a week. Replacing it was really easy. And I can play all my vinyl records again.
I purchased this to replace the stylus that came with my Crosley turntable as that one seems to be of lower quality. This stylus is of the quality level I would expect from Audio Technica. I am happy with it and have purchased a few others for back up purposes.Thank you Best Buy for having these replacement styluses in stock.
The installation was a little harrowing due to the positioning of the tone arm on my turntable but I think that's more the turntable's fault than the cartridge. Once I got it positioned right it went in like a dream. Sounds incredible, too. I got a practically new AT turntable at a thrift store for 25 bucks, and add another 25 for the new stylus (the one that came with the turntable was broken), I'm only out fifty, which is still a great price. Couldn't have worked out better!
I've been an audio enthusiast and professional installer for many years and have had a few turntables and cartridge combos in the past. I recently got a Technics SL-B3 from a customer. It needed a little work and a cartridge. I thought, according to some reviews I would have to spend some bucks to get a great sounding cartridge, when I came upon a comparison between the Rega Carbon and this AT 3600L. Very good and extensive write up! The Rega is more expensive and is essentially the same as the AT. You can find this review/test online. This AT sounds just fine, I am very happy! This AT is apparently used(under different brand names) by a number of companies and on some pricey turntables. Make sure to set all parameters, overhang(get a cart protractor on vinyl engine ... MoreI've been an audio enthusiast and professional installer for many years and have had a few turntables and cartridge combos in the past. Perfect replacement for my Sony turntable. Someone bumped the auto start on mine WITHOUT a record in place . Bounced off the rubber mat for 2 hours!!! Ground down the needle to Nothing !!! This replacement worked perfectly !
Unfortunately I purchased the wrong stylus. I checked the website and the correct stylus was listed (but had to be ordered). When I took the stylus in to be switched, I was interrogated as to whether I had unpacked the stylus at it was not sealed. I had taken the stylus out of the box to inspect it and discovered it was not sealed inside the box. The salesperson accepted that I had not damaged the stylus as I wanted to pay extra for the correct one. When the salesperson searched for the correct product, there was only one available nationally (Canberra) and I would have to pay an extra transfer fee. So, although the product was listed in the catalogue, I was unable to purchase it at the listed price. There was no facility for me to just order and collect when it was ... MoreUnfortunately I purchased the wrong stylus. I checked the website and the correct stylus was listed (but had to be ordered). Purchased for use with the new Victrola Revolution Go. The mfg provided stylus is described as suitable for 78s. This 3mil stylus is much better, as would be expected. Streaming into a mono speaker creates the perfect portable 78rpm player. I'm very happy with my purchase.
