Speakers have GREAT sound - even when volume is high - sound remains clear and solid. Easy to set up with Wifi, easy to use with various apps for music play. Even worked great with my TV after some pointers from audioengine tech support. Cannot wait to purchase more sets for the rest of the house. My husband also loves these speakers, so we will be adding more as soon as the budget allows. Strongly recommend.

I bought these to replace a B2 (I decided to drop Bluetooth and the annoying pairing issues that come with it). These speakers connect directly to WiFi and once you've set up one device (which is a bit of an ordeal unless you're a tech head), all your other devices easily see the network the A1-MRs are on. Flawless sound right out of the box, and only getting better.

Performs as expected. I wish they were available in more colors, and if they had a standby mode and wake upon playing music via Airplay.
I find the frequency response rather inferior to my old A1 speakers. I suppose this is to encourge customers to purchase higher grade speakers and maybe also a subwoofer. I use a D1 dac with the older A1's. I would not expect using a dac would benefit the sound with my old Samsung TV.
The size is perfect to use with my laptop or take them to the backyard and stream music. Because it supports some streaming services, I don't care about having my phone near the speakers.The only con is I wish it had Tidal Connect. It supports Spotify connect, but I have to use the Audioengine app for Tidal.It would be great to see a new version that supports Tidal Connect, 5G Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Great product, but it definitely needs more support. Really limited on what I want to use it for via WiFi. It also skips a bit, but that's probably my terrible WiFi.
These were the perfect solution for bringing sound into our kitchen. They work flawlessly with AirPlay over our Wi-Fi network and sound wonderful.
I did A LOT of research into reviews and specs before getting this and was not disappointed. I use it in a fairly small home office space (converted guest room) and it fills that room beautifully. Now I'm looking to get the A5+
Very nice sound and surprising volume. Connection to my Wi-Fi has been stable most of the time, and sending audio to the speakers quite easy.
