Loving the fact that we can keep this reasonably priced product in the cupboard for the days we need a quick and easy vegan desert. Blanch some fruit and add the crumble topping and you?ve got a pudding in minutes. It?s a little on the sweet side but we just leave the sugar out of the fruit to compensate.

What a shame Auntie Bessie has changed the recipe for their crumble ! The new one in new packaging is cloggy and tastes of sugar ?.crusty. The other recipe was lovely light crumbly and just great. I will not be buying this again sorry ?

I was really looking forward to finding a ready to bake crumble mix, so I didn't have to make gluten free all the time for my husband. But was shocked at the high saturated fat content. Why ever does it have to be made with palm oil? So complete no-go I'm afraid. Haven't bought it. And the shame is it's the only one that's available from our branch.

Tasted a bit of the mixture straight from on the. Pack to find out how sweet it was. The ingredients list demerara sugar and I am glad to say it isn't too sweet as you can add more to the mix before use if you want to. Not got any fruit in at the moment so untried yet. Not found an Aunt Bessie's product I did not like yet.
I've used readymade crumble mixes for years, for quick puds - a nice easy way to use homegrown fruits or the fruit looking a bit forgotten in the fruit bowl (shall I just put it in the bin now - NO make a quick fruit crumble!). I'm not sure if this Aunt Bessie's mix recipe has changed but the last few just don't taste like crumble, but more like a slightly stale and damp flour. I've bought supermarket own brands that are certainly superior and definitely better! (And no I don't think mixes are lazy - they're often cleaner, smarter and better than any crumble I create!)
The golden crumble mix was delicious and was very quick to use. We make fruit crumbles quite regularly at home and this was a delicious packet mix. It was much quicker and easier than making crumble from scratch and I liked the addition of the recipe recommendation on the back of the packet. I would definitely recommend this product and I will continue to use this for fruit crumbles in the future.
I keep this as a cupboard shortcut to create a quick crumble when family drop in unexpectedly. The last two packs I have bought have been full of clumps that have to be physically broken up, the mix feels damp. I am not going to try a different brand.
I normally mix my own crumble, but if you want to be super-quick this is just the job. It is almost as good as home-made, especially if you add some chopped nuts or oat flakes. The quantity is very generous too. I use an 8 inch square deep pyrex dish and it covers the fruit with a thick layer. That makes enough for up to 8 people. Great stand-by for when you're in a hurry.
This has to be the worst product I have ever used and my recommendation is to avoid this product at all costs. It tastes vile and when you think about it, the ingredients are so basic one wonders how the manufacturer could produce such a rubbish product. Just order plain flour, butter and sugar.
Really enjoyed this crumble! We had some fresh rhubarb from our allotment and stewed it! Topped it with this crumble and within 35 mins we had a gorgeous rhubarb crumble for tea!! Plenty of crumble per pack and so easy to use, will definitely keep one in the cupboard for the next batch of fruit!
