I bought this scanner to replace my handheld MaxiCheck because I wanted full live data capabilities. As a bonus, it has MANY other service features and bluetooth connectivity. So far I have been very happy with it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an OBDII scanner with full live data and common service functions. See my video for more details. Edit: Amazon doesn't allow full 1080 HD videos to display properly on their website without distortion. I had to reduce quality for my video to display without being extremely grainy. This is a well known problem with Amazon video reviews. Maybe one day the worlds largest on-line retailer will fix their website so modern video reolutions can be used. lol.

Will not work without wifi. When attempt was made to use this product at a car dealership, scanner would not connect to the dealer's wifi & no diagnostic could be read. Never heard of a scanner that would not just hook up/plug into an OBD port & give a reading or diagnosis. I will not recommend this to anyone & will try to discourage anybody who asks from purchasing this product. Big waste of money, will have to buy another one of different brand.

First off, you guys had the best price by far. It takes a little while to get used to navigating through the menus but once you use it a few times, things become familiar and easier.It’s a great tool to have if you work on cars a lot.I would say the only drawback to this tablet is that when it’s hooked up to a vehicle for a long period of time, it will drain the cars battery if the vehicle is not running or if the battery in the vehicle is marginal at best so keep that in mind and have a charger on the vehicle if your gonna have this tablet hooked up for an extended amount of time.Also, on older vehicles, there are some functions like reprogramming the TPMS that are not available.Other than that it’s a great tool!

I bought this unit to do the ABS bleed on my 2003 Chevy Duramax, performed as it claimed. Cost of dealer bleed service vs buying a tool that can do it and still have a tool afterwards, those numbers make a smiley face in your calculator.After I completed that task I started poking around and found that this is fully packed for someone who is a professional no hack job DIYer. I was able to look at injector balance rates, desired and actual rail pressures to check the health of the fuel system. Going through each of the supported modules you can see what volts are going to what and what things are activated or not. This makes diagnosis much easier because you can test a lot of modules straight from the scanner. Extremely user friendly, I definitely prefer this over my snap on scanner I paid almost $2000 usd for. Interface is much better on autel. Snap on scanners do come with a diagnostic help guide for most every car. But if youre not a mechanic, or someone who truly understands whattheyre looking at from personal experience this really isnt needed in fact some G2s who dont have enough experience, [or just plain dont care] will use this to diagnose every car they get. This however does not make you the MAN as Im fixing A techs mistakes with my $500 dollar scanner, while they use their $4-5 thousand dollar scanners just to get the diagnostic wrong because theyre too lazy to check live data and freeze frames, let alone understand the parameters. All in all the mx808 is a fantastic scanner for the price, and it will definitely make you a better technician, so long as you take the time to truly understand what youre using, and how to use it. This scanner has taken me a long way, I will continue to recommend it to anyone who recently got their 2G, or anyone who works on their own vehicle regularly. This scanner will save you big bucks if you dont have a personal mechanic who has a quality scanner. Ive used this to reset and relearn immobilizers on Hyundais after replacing the BCM. Supper easy and quick. Definitely a money maker, why are you still reading this? Buy yourself one right now, you wont regret it. Youll also be the coolest guy in your shop rocking AUTEL. Im telling you ones you use an AUTEL scanner there is no going back. Best interface And bang for the buck. I would highly recommend the new MS906BT if you want a great quality bi directional scanner without breaking the bank, wish I had bought it off the rip. Well lets start with updates. You will need to pay for them. While other scan tool give them to you free. Plus they will do the same scans. The only way to get instructions is to down load them and that is confusing as well. To do that you will need to find the serial number and then they ask a lot of personal information. They don't really go into much detail of things that you will need to do before you can use the scanner. I have use one like this for years and they are more friendly to use. I would return it if I knew about the updates. This is not for the home user that only uses it once in a while. Save your money and buy a different one. You will be much happier.
I was on the fence about this tool but decided to pull the trigger. JB Tools had this product for significantly less than any other online retailer that I could find. I've already ready used it to clear a plethora of codes on 3 different vehicles. The amount of features this tool has is incredible. FYI, the tool operates on an annual subscription of approximately $125. When you activate the tool, it begins a countdown letting you know when you'll have to renew. Overall, I'm super satisfied with this tool and I've only just began to learn how to use it.
I really need to put it through its paces to post up a quantitative review, but I am pretty happy with what I have been able to see so far. I love the graphing options (gauge, bar graph, line graph, data point) and all the live data I can capture. Even with the TPMS functions on this model I can read each tire pressure and temperature. Having the ability to graph A/F - O2 sensor output is great (just be cognizant that wide band sensors, such as the Toyota Air/Fuel sensor on bank 1) do chart different than narrow band sensors. The tool is telling you the right data, but if you don;t know the different between narrow band and wide band you will misinterpret the data.Excellent ease of use, great diagnostic abilities. I started at 3 stars, but went with 4. I must say the MK808 is a very good scanner. It's just as good and does all the same things my 2010 MACTools Taskmaster scanner and that scanner covers every model 2010 prior back to 1987 with all the connectors including giving common repair fixes for each trouble code. Has a very nice size and very useable interface. Comes with an OBDII cord probably 4 to 5 feet long. Didn't measure it. Very nice solid plastic case and manual. Actually a pretty decent manual. As advertised, it does pickup the VIN number automaticly and it has a great many tasks covered under such as TPMS and another 10 to 12 major tasks. It wouldn't pick up the VIN automaticly. Haven't tried my 2000 Nissan Frontier and I know it won't read my 1991 Ford Ranger. Doesn't come with the cables to read OBD1 and prior. I even printed the report wirelessly from it to my inkjet printer. I didn't try resetting the oil change light since it's not time for it yet. I found it also had current fixes for most trouble codes just as my Taskmaster which is extremely handy. The one thing I found issues with was discovering not every vehicle model is included in all tasks. For example, TPMS. As advertised, it's in there. Unfortunately, not for my 2010 Ford F350 gas engine. It's in there for the diesel version. Haven't tried my F150. My 1999 Ram 3500 diesel isn't covered in all tasks either. Just the main diagnostics and a few there aren't covered, but it's also 22 years old. I had to buy a MaxiTPMS TS401 to activate and test the TPMS sensors because the MK808, as mentioned, didn't cover my F350. Even with buying the MK808 and the TS401, the total didn't come close to the $1500 I paid for the Taskmaster brand new in 2010. Nowadays the MAC and Snap-On scanners are well north of $6000. Unfortunately, you won't know if your vehicle model isn't covered by any task until you plug it in. For the average around home mechanic, it's a great tool at a great price. Keep in mind, your updates are only free the first year. I haven't gotten where I've had to pay for updates yet so I don't know the pricing. However, you may not need the updates if little changes.
