I live in west central SK (aka grasshopper country). This product is absolutely the best! Spray it on, wait the required time, use water and a soft nylon brush, and your vehicle will be shiny clean! So very happy I found this product!

I have now used this product 3-4 times and it is okay. Not a wow factor like the other Autoglym products that I am using. It will get rid of light dried on marks on the screen but not stubborn ones. Although it does state to re-apply which do not. I think it needs something more to agitate the stubborn marks. Although I have not got anything to compare against because I use to use the hand wash teams for a fever and have only just bought the full cleaning kit, the products they used seem to have similar results. I do wish this product was more of a fine spray rather than a foam. The best way I have found is to use window cleaner after washing and drying the car!!

Bought this to remove bug/ tree sap marks on my car roof which had been there for a few weeks. Only needed a small spray on a microfibre cloth and worked a treat! Removed darks spots easily with a little rubbing. Great product!

First, I'm an Autoglym fan and like some of their products like the Interior Shampoo and the Vinyl & Rubber Care, so I was eager to try this Insect Remover. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. After an 8-hour (total) highway trip which resulted in LOTS of bug splatters on the grill of my car, I took a scientific approach to cleaning it, and divided the grill in half: I used this Autoglym Insect Remover on the left, and an Aero Cosmetics waterless wash available through a large online-only retailer on the right. The car was in the garage and cool to the touch. I thoroughly soaked each section with its respective product, let it sit for 5 minutes, re-applied the product (so the microfibre towel would have some lubrication), then made a single-pass wipe ... MoreFirst, I'm an Autoglym fan and like some of their products like the Interior Shampoo and the Vinyl & Rubber Care, so I was eager to try this Insect Remover. I thoroughly soaked each section with its respective product, let it sit for 5 minutes, re-applied the product (so the microfibre towel would have some lubrication), then made a single-pass wipe over the section using light-to-medium pressure (because I didn't want to scratch the surface with any bug carcasses).Winner: the Aero Cosmetics waterless wash. Bottle sprays in light enough mist that it stays in place. Virtually dissolved all the bug residue. Removed the most bug residue after the single wipe, and the spray provided enough lubrication that the paint was not scratched. I was frankly amazed.Distant Second: Autoglym Insect Remover. A big issue is the fact that nozzle dispenses the product in a semi-foamy state, but the foam is not dense enough to stay in place, so the foam just dissipates and it all ends up just running down the car, so not alot of product remains on the car to actually breakdown the bug residue. It was about 50% less effective than the Aero wash - lots of residue left after the single wipe, meaning more Insect Remover and elbow grease required. But, be aware that the Insect Remover also recommends being followed-up with a wash after application! So, for a complete job, the Insect Remover would require: application, elbow grease, wipe off, re-application, elbow grease, wipe off, and then wash (3 steps total), whereas with the Aero wash, since it's a waterless wash to begin with, the same results are achieved in only one step. Who has the time (and energy) for the Insect Remover approach? That's why I can't give it a higher rating than I did.
I bought this after trying other bug removers, and I confess to being skeptical. But!! I use it as a pre wash as recommended by someone far more knowledgeable than me, and I LOVE IT!!! So easy to use, and dies exactly what it says it will. A reliable product from a reliable brand
I bought this specifically to remove a splatter of super hard bug remains... the sort of which I have not come across in 40 plus years of motoring. Unfortunately the product did nothing to soften (never mind remove) the dark brown 2mm blemishes or the three or four major full bug impacts.(no, it was not road tar). Eventual I used this as a lubricant to stop scratches as I prized each one off with my thumb nail. Normal bugs were removed just fine... hopefully this is just a one off for me?
This product is great when arriving at a car show on a sunny day.Spray the solution on to bugs and flys and it disolves them you can then buff with microfibre cloth with out the need to wash or use the product as part of your wash process spraying on before snowfoaming.
Usual great spray bottle etc from autoglym, I just don’t see why they have to make every product even when it doesn’t do the job.Gave a heavy coating all over the front of my car as it was plastered with bugs, Says leave for 30 seconds, I gave it a good few minutes, then it says rinse or wipe, I had the bug sponge and still had to scrub at them to remove them. Waste of 8 quid and won’t waste it again.Autoglym do some decent stuff but this isn’t any of that. Hopefully reviewing it will help someone see and improve the formula.
This is my first time buying & using this type of product & so it’s difficult for me to compare it with those from other companies, but I’d say that it worked quite well. It wasn’t unbelievably great, but wasn’t useless either, it worked with a little rubbing & reapplying. My biggest complaint was that the similar product from another company that was advertised to be on sale by CT wasn’t in stock!
I. Ought this spray after a long journey though a lot of midgies. Both front & rear screens were covered & the screen wash didn’t cut it. Spayed the autoglym on and it got rid of the mini corpses. The spray pattern wasn’t that even which resulted in using more to get complete coverage.
