Avène Thermal Spring Water originates from rain and travels through the Cévennes Mountain aquifer for 50 years before being bottled in the village of Avène. Its soothing and anti-irritating properties have been validated through therapies at the Avène Hydrotherapy Centre, effectively helping with atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and burns. Numerous studies have confirmed its benefits, including relief from redness, itching, and irritation, and revitalising skin. It is suitable for babies, children, and adults with sensitive skin or eczema. This water stands out due to its unique mineral composition, which is low in minerals and has a neutral pH, containing bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium, and beneficial trace elements. The Pierre Fabre Laboratories have discovered that it also possesses a unique microflora, Aqua Dolomiae, which enhances its soothing properties. Dr. Webster recommends Avène Thermal Spring Water for its consistent mineral composition that softens skin.

Avene Thermal Water is an ultra-fine thermal water mist. It claims to have a unique mineral composition and postbiotics (think of probiotics, they produce metabolites called postbiotics!) in its thermal water which makes it hydrating to the skin. I have dry, sensitive skin and I found it worked best as my first toner in my AM and PM routines. Once I finished cleansing, I would spray this liberally on my face and neck before applying actives and serums. It is also great as a facial mist throughout the day, especially in hot weather, after reapplying sunscreen or powder (applying a mist after powdering gives the skin a 'skin-like' look, not too dewy, just hydrated). The pros: this is perfect for dry, sensitive skin and it truly did soften my skin! It feels like when ... MoreAvene Thermal Water is an ultra-fine thermal water mist. The cons: although I loved it, the price for the product outweighs its benefits compared to toners/serums formulated with actives (like hyaluronic acid, licorice root, etc) that softened my skin AND gave it additional benefits. I feel like this product would be great as an 'in addition to' product, but I love my toners and serums being pack full of actives!

I was skeptical at first, but after buying a bottle at Ulta while they had a nice coupon going on I’m convinced that this will be an essential step to my skincare routine! Your skin absorbs other products better when it’s still wet. I love how fine the mist is from this bottle, and it’s literally just nice water. After patting it in it dries within a few minutes minute and leaves my face feeling baby soft and smooth. I also spray before putting on skin soothing toner, then my face lotion, layering while my face is still wet. There’s also no smell to it, so it really is perfect for people with sensitive skin.

This water spray really surprised me! It was super hydrating and calming. I love to use this morning and night after cleansing for a smooth hydrated base before I apply my other skincare products. My sensitive skin had a reaction to another product, and after spraying this I definitely saw a visible improvement in the irritation and the redness completely went away. The spray is so refreshing, I love having this bottle on my bedside table to really wake me up in the morning or spray during the night to cool down. I can already tell this is going to be a staple for me in summer. Although the bottle is quite large, it’s easy to hold and use and you get a lot of product! The mist feels amazing and distributes the product perfectly across the face. This is definitely a ... MoreThis water spray really surprised me! It was super hydrating and calming. Otherwise, I have not thought very highly of splashing water on my face. If it's not about washing your eyes in the morning. However, I got this product for free with another product and then I tried it. And was very positively surprised. I have dry and sensitive skin and this spray had a great soothing effect on the irritations. Since the bottle was small and ran out quickly, I tried another company's, which was not half as good, the skin remained tight. So, there's something about it that works.

Meh, what can I say-- personally I think it's a bit of a gimmick to sell water in a spray can. Not only is it wasteful for our environment, but it's not really a necessary step in your routine. I get that water in spray format might come in handy with makeup, and that's about the only time I've found this to be truly helpful. It is nice to spray a bit on your blending sponges or on your brushes to help the product 'stick' provide a more 'translucent', even finish. Other than that, this product doesn't contain any ingredients that are going to 'tone' your skin or provide really any beneficial skincare progress. Instead of adding an unnecessary product to your routine, just dip your brushes/sponges in tap (or filtered) water for the same effect. Save the money ( environment)

Um… How did i ever use Hyaluronic serums without this??! I spray this on the first thing after cleansing and immediately when I leave the shower. After giving it a minute or two to sit on my face to soak in, I go in with a Hyaluronic serum and you get that cute hydrating slimey feeling :D ok but really, here’s some of the ways I love using thermal water: -for sandwiching hydration between serums -when I get irritation it calms nicely -it really DID help a super bad sunburn I had -I use it to keep oil/serums “wet” on my face to glide with Gua Sha tools -to keep my face from over drying after shower. Jumbo size is only 18$ and with all those uses it lasts me a while. I use everyday

Avene Thermal Springwater really impressed me. I was curious and had to give it a try, but was skeptical. This water is amazing! It hydrates my skin throughout the day. It relieves the tight feeling associated with dry skin and makes my skin feel soft and smooth. Spraying overtop of foundation or sunscreen does not disrupt facial products. It’s a Read more about review stating More than water!100% winner for me. I can only imagine how great it will be in the winter months and have already purchased backups.
