I am so very sad to have to write this review about a product that I have loved for YEARS. I swore by this product line, I get numerous compliments about my hair and I would always recommend it. Not any more. I got the new formula and am so unhappy with it I am now shopping for a new product. I don't even know where to begin with this. I've used this for a few weeks now and have finally figured out that you cannot put the shampoo directly onto the top of your head - it'll leave a big greasy spot no matter how much you rinse. I instead have to work it in from the bottom, which is stupid and takes twice as much shampoo. I also have to wash my hair more often and have had to stop using my Style Prep Smoother because it just puts too much product onto my hair and leaves it feeling awful.So now I'm left with a more expensive, smaller bottle of shampoo that leaves my hair feeling greasy and I have to use twice as much, twice as often.Shame on you Aveda!!! Bring back the old formula because this one is garbage.

I used Smooth Infusion for over 10 years, and I didn't realize the formula had changed. Then, all of a sudden, my hair never seemed to be clean. It always felt like it was still oily. I then found out about the new formula. It DOES NOT work for me! I really, really miss the old formula. I have tried all of the other Aveda shampoo lines, and this was the one that worked for me. I feel lost, and I might have to buy another brand. Please bring back the old formula, or keep the new formula for and have the old as well (kind of like the Nutri-plenish line, with two types). I never write reviews, but I am hoping this might help Aveda see the need to bring back the old...

Since the formula was changed, it hasn't worked as well. It now leaves my hair feeling rough and greasy instead of smooth and shiny. And I've noticed that it's much harder to comb through my hair after I shower. The comb is constantly catching on tangles. I never used to have that issue. I have been using this product for years to help me manage my thick, difficult. This was a game changer, I could wash and blow dry my hair and feel amazing. Since purchasing this new formula, my hair is weighted down and feels dirty. I have resorted to using another brand because it made my hair impossible to style. I was saddened to hear that these expensive products aren't able to be returned or exchanged for something different. I have now wasted money on a new line of products that don't work as advertised and left back at square one searching for another solution. I would challenge Aveda to do the right thing and offer refunds to those who purchased a new, unacceptable version of their products.

I used the old formula of this shampoo faithfully for many years-it was the ONLY shampoo that could tame my frizzy/wavy hair without weighing it down. I've tried all the other similar Aveda shampoos in sample sizes as well as more expensive brands, and nothing beats the old Smooth Infusion. Now when I see my hair in old photos I'm sad that it might never look that way again. Could you please bring back the old formula?The reviews of this product make it abundantly clear that there was a fumble, and so many people would come back to the Aveda brand if this product was revived!
